I have been a member for years - Open hours were posted and when I went to the facility, it was closed. My efforts to obtain an answer failed. VERY inconvenient. Rating this from a fitness center perspective: When you walk in, you're supposed to tell a security guard where you plan on going prior to going in the facility.... more
I would not recommend this facility. My spouse and I decided to start our weight loss journey and they had an advertisement on Facebook that the classes were free. The fact that I know nothing in life is free in this world, I decided to continue.... more

Pour hours, sanitation, and selection. For a small gym it has what you will need. There could be more accommodations for those that need additional equipment.. I enjoy the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday exercise classes from 1130-1230.... more

If you want specific equipment this gym has it all. This is one of the largest gyms I have worked out in and is by far the best gym in Chesapeake! Have not tried the classes, but they offer a wide variety of classes as well.... more
Nice place overall but the workers seem to not are about you and they are not always on the same page when it comes to what time certain things are open, especially the gym. Wen i call up there they tell me the gym is open but when i get there the gym is not always open.... more

In my opinion, the Great Bridge YMCA is the best in the area. A membership is undoubtedly expensive, but it does get a little cheaper for big families, low-income earners, etc. They have an outdoor and indoor pool, both with lap lanes and slides.... more
This is actually a decent place to work out, except when they have Child care camps. The noise they produce really takes away from your experience. I realize it's a Y and Children are going to 'be there but the facility isn't really build for 70 Children to be confined to a small gym for activities.... more
