Going to the gym is no longer a chore. The workouts are crazy awesome but it's the people and the camaraderie we share that keeps me coming back day after day. The coaches are extremely motivating and super personable. Not to mention the fellow club members have become somewhat of an extended family to me.
Having never tried CrossFit before I was somewhat intimidated showing up for my first day. But I quickly learned Crossfit isn't just for the "super fit". But can be done by anyone, any body type, any fitness level and at any age! EVERYTHING in the gym can be scaled. The coaches have never asked me to do something that I physically can't do but they have always encouraged and pushed me to find my new limits. It's been so much fun watching my progress and learning how to tackle new and challenging exercises.
For the first time in my life, I am not concerned about a number on the scale. Rather my only goal at CrossFit Little Creek is to get FIT and feel STRONG. As an added benefit to working towards my new goals, I have lost about 18 inches overall and my self-confidence has probably never been higher (and you can't put a price tag on that!).
I am a firm believer that you get out what you put in. So if you want minimal results and almost no accountability or commitment, this place ISN'T for you. But if you are where I was 5 months ago, ready for a change, tired of making excuses and wanting to truly invest in yourself, take the plunge and stop by CrossFit Little Creek. I promise you you'll be happy you did.
