My friend and I took the train from the city for around 40 minutes before getting off at the second to last stop on the R. The outside looks pretty basic. It was actually kind of hard to tell it was a workout studio because the building itself isn't too unique.... more

0 star. Called months ago to cancel my membership and was promised that I won't be charged an annual fee for next year. Months later found out $50 was charged for next year. Why would I pay for the annual fee if I cancelled months before the year ends! The manager said any conversation happened not in email doesn't count.... more
Lots of new machines installed this week and the bathrooms recently upgraded. Local staff are great. Can get packed between 6pm and 7pm but most other times fine. However, they lose a star for the way they handled the upgrade to the bathrooms.... more
By far, the filthiest PF I e been to. Rust in lockers, dust bunnies in every corner, gooey handles on pretty much every machine, the list goes on. I'm not sure how these guys maintain the franchise name.... more
This gym looks like an abandoned place. Used to be popular but now it is rusty and moldy.. Nice, clean, friendly staff. Nice pool.... more
The gym is really nice but the classes are only decent. Horrible experience with one of the teachers Calvin Wiley. He thinks he knows then my doctors about how to safely workout.. Formerly a David Barton gym.... more

This location of Crunch is one of my favorites. Huge gym, one of the most spacious group fitness studios, with a great selection of equipment, a variety of classes, a spin room, a yoga room, tons of machines, a climbing wall, super clean and well stocked women's locker room with plenty of lockers, clean towels and a well maintained bathroom, on both levels of the gym, friendly front desk staff, it's all solid good across the board.... more
My favorite place to workout.. A very small version of New York sports Clubs. Front desk person was not the least bit friendly. Bikes were very good. I would never go back here.... more
I'm a member and the 23rd and 8th Ave location is in dire need of a renovation. Locker room smells like stinky feet. Ceiling fell in over the machines about a month ago. Woodway tread mills are not taken care of and none of the treadmills are actually maintained or balanced, which causes them to rattle and bounce around as you run.... more
Staff members are knowledgeable, friendly, and super helpful. The facilities are clean and classes are great. Highly recommend.. It's not friendly staff,lifeguards not watching in the pool,not good service, staff don't care about members, always something fixing pool whirlpool etc... more
The staff is very helpful, other members are very nice willing to help, clean. Being open more than a couple of hours would be nice, what is the point? The one in Staten Island has great hours.... more
Basic gym in NYC - gets packed post work. I had an issue here once and the supervisor who was on duty was extremely rude towards me. There's another gym right around the corner, I'd recommend that one.... more
Horrible planet fitness do not join. Staff has no customer service skills. You spend your money by joining and get disrespected and scammed. No work ethics. Rude, uptight employees epsecially the females.... more
