I have gone to this gym for 14 years, great selection of free weights, very old school gym. Great leg room. Downside cardio equipment is beat, most doesn't work. If you are off on a Holiday and want to go for a workout they're either not going to be open or they close very early.... more

The North Side YMCA gym is a clean and friendly place to work out. The showers are always clean, and I have always had access to a locker, no matter what time I was there. The staff is always smiling and easy to approach in case you have questions about anything.... more
Only gym I know that makes you sign a contract that locks you in for a year membership. When you cancel you have to pay the balance left your membership. I thought contracts were a thing of the past for gyms?.... more

My 4 year old forgot his water bottle one day at summer camp. When I came to pick him up that afternoon he was drenched in sweat trying to drink from the bathroom faucet. I asked why he hadn’t been given any water and was told that the only water they had was in a vending machine for $1 and that there were no cups anywhere for him to have a drink from the sink.... more

I don't live in Lexington anymore and it is a shame because my husband and I LOVED this gym. Easy parking, great classes, incredible equipment and amenities. We have joined other fitness places and we still refer to Proof as our favorite gym.... more
