Up until about 8 months ago I would have given this gym 4 or 5 stars. I've been a member for most of the last 10 years. BUT, there's been a problem with the ceiling in the pool area since last spring (spring 2016) and they started a lawsuit with the building owner which has, of course, gone on for all these months. Now it's being decided by the judge. Whatever the outcome, it all should be irrelevant to the members. LA Fitness should have fixed the ceiling and then sued for reimbursement, if that turns out to be appropriate. Instead, the members have been the ones to suffer all these months without a pool and thereby getting only half of the services we're paying for. I consider this to be totally unprofessional, irresponsible and disrespectful to their members. There's never been any offer of some sort of compensation, other than to say members can use other LA Fitness facilities. Great, who's paying for the gas to drive back and forth, only to deal with larger than normal crowds because of the San Carlos pool being closed? Terrible way to run a business.
