Is this place seriously closing in November? What the heck? Come on, 24 Hour Management. This is the gym I go most near my house.
Great atmosphere...
Its so hot I can't focus on my workout. Seems like they are trying to save electricity. Also the cable pull machine pulleys are so old 10lbs is more like lifting 50lbs. Management doesn't seem to care despite having brought to their attention and asking to lower the temperature numerous times over the years
Love this gym... been going here for 20 years. Great views and people. Horrible building maintenance, obvious ownership is skimping on upkeep to increase bottom line. Such as ceiling tiles (pool area) painting walls, broken tile, lots of equipment down. If you go to a Ymca and then go to this gym you feel like your in the 3rd world. Still a fun place to work out
Always found the time to get my workout in and get out. Excellent facility, have a steam room and sauna
Favorite of the gyms. This gym has a good portion and the community is great. The steam room is most relaxing, the jacuzzi is massaging, and the gym is 24 hours. It's always great to be able to reach a gym no matter where you are in the area, freshen up, or get a quick rep in. Never discourage yourself, sign up to this gym.
This one of the older gym locations,. Due to the lack of availability of the sauna in the male bathrooms at San Diego State University, I decided to check out 24 hour fitness once again. The staff here was friendly, knowledgeable, and amicable. Obviously, their job is so try to see whether or not you want to pay for more services. I knew what I wanted and they were more than happy to help me out. Now, I'm a happy 24 hour fitness member, I went to the sauna for around 30 minutes, and swam for 15 minutes, keep in mind I haven't been to a sauna in over 6+ months! I slept like a baby last night.
I have been to many locations of 24 hr. as I travel a lot. This one by far is the worst - staff and physical condition of the bldg. When I arrived on foot, apparently it was at the back side of the bldg. There's a sign stating the entrance is only for the handicapped. But no indication where the main entrance is! So I went next door to the medical office. She told me she sees people go in the handicapped entrance all the time. Returned to door and buzzed it. A female came on and I asked where the main entrance was. She answered in a very rude manner and when I stated that the sign gave no indication (why would you not put it on the sign?!), she accused me of being rude! She then gave me non-existent directions to the front (really? You couldn't have just said walk up the hill on the sidewalk?!). Inside, she curbed her rudeness, but certainly was far from friendly. Her name was Carlee - which I had to ask as there was no name tag. Of the 3 staff I encountered, the only friendly one was #4, the ex-manager. And she informed me that members use the handicapped entrance all the time! Would never join this location. Mgmt needs to be replaced.
Worse management ever!
Agreed with an instructor for a 20 pack personal training and in the middle of the time he quit from the gym! After that, they decided what instructor will take over and train me and no one asked which trainer I preferred, off course at the beginning they told me that I might have more than a trainer to give me free sessions so I can pick which one, but they decided which trainer without getting back to me ... I've been promised for 2 free sessions for the inconvenience and I finished my pack and guess what!! No free sessions!!!

Two story gym with pool. The classes here are great. U Jam Fitness is a blast. Best group class I've taken. Staff is friendly and Kids Club is smaller but workers are nice. Locker room is big but not many showers but a bit cleaner than other nearby locations. Grossmont Mall is nearby and Trader Joe's as well.

Not the nicest gym, but it's convenient and has all I need. Good group classes.

This place is in a convenient location, but the gym it's self is pretty smelly, old, and has a small closed feel about it. The staff were very nice. I just came to workout for the day.

Worst gym ever and worst management and staff members. I had a problem with my account, 3 staff members gave me 3 different answers. I had to call the manager 6 times leaving him a message yet he never got back to me and when I finally talked to him he blamed the staff members and never got my problem solved.

The gym is outdated and packed. The parking is hard to find. Probably the worst 24hour fitness that I ever visited.
Very, very old weight training machines and free weights. Poor maintenance. Needs a new main staircase, a remodel. Often smells like chlorine upstairs from the swimming pool downstairs. It stings the eyes a little. It's often too humid upstairs for working out.
This place really needs to get its customer service on track I called to cancel my membership and was told I couldn't do so until the 3rd of the month so I wait until the 3rd go into the 24 hour location closest to me to go in and cancel my membership since customer setrvice on the phone is close the two girls at the counter are talking amongst themselves once they finally notice me I begin to tell them I'm there to cancel my membership because I was told by a customer service representative that I could cancel today and the two girl told me not only that I would be charged for my membership that ended today but that I have to wait until the 5th now to cancel my membership honestly not worth the trouble especially because of all the miscommunication between customer service representatives I'd really recommend getting the policies memorized better to help from incidents like this.
Decent gym...my go-to since it's close to work. Parking is hard, especially around 4-5 but there's another parking lot up the hill to park in. They have signs that encourage putting back your weights or you'll lose your membership that I've never seen enforced....people put back your weights!! :)

Dirty lockers, poop all over the toilets. Old equipment that's constantly breaking and sometimes it takes weeks to fix. Small and old building, not tall ppl friendly. Oooh yeah when it rains they pull out the buckets so the place doesn't flood! Only reason i go is bcuz my schedule and i live right in front of it. Otherwise i wouldn't set foot in this gym.
Only problem is there is no privacy in the shower. The at least put up shower curtains which were immediately taken down by I suspect pervs who didn't want to lose their view. I travel extensively and this is the 1st 24 hr fitness with no doors or curtains I've been to.
Old machines, layout is super awkward. Went in after work late night and had my locker broken into. When I told the person at the front desk he said it happens often, yet no-one does anything about it. Obviously had to have been a member at that time not many people were there yet they weren't able to help me. As i sat in my car waiting for the dealership to open to get a copy of my key I informed members as they were arriving to be vigilant with their belongings and they too informed that it happened often! Nothing good at this gym. At least if it were nicely remodeled and their machines were at least not rusty it would be somewhat worth it but it seems like the machines were going to snap on every pull.
Friendly staff and great people in the gym at night
older building with a confusing layout and a plethora of problems related to its older design and lack of updated construction. water leaks, toilets clog, cieling panels sag.
Small, rustic machines, great place for barreless class! I do wish they weren't so aggressive with the personal training. Oh the step machine desperately needs to be updated ( I don't think it should be moving while slimply standing on it before your workout)
