Ok gym
But reinstituted my twenty four hour
If they had steam room and sauna they could beat 24
Things like tanning and sun bed are no where near as useful as sauna and steam room after a workout

Usually in the mornings, the restrooms are a bit messy. Lucia the trainer is great, she makes you feel very comfortable. There is a person at the counter that is not that nice, but everyone else is.

Nice employees and clean equipment. There are a few machines I wish they had but no big deal. Still get a great workout!

I count ~58 treadmills and 4 stair climbers, 2 of which are broken. Overall nice place but 58 and 2 cannot be the right ratio.
They do have red light therapy machines which I appreciate and none of the locations in Orlando (where I live) have, at least that I've seen.

The price is good for the gym. But the up keep is terrible so many people working but the same gym equipment stays out of order .... and the restrooms .... terrible toilet paper holder broken never has toilet paper handi cap bathroom chair uneven last time someone told me they slipped on it. Door locks dont work.... need to get people to fix it. Not the only one that complains about this stuff...

Most employees exude great customer service skills, and are very polite. Some workers have biases when it come to customer service and friendliness. Some employees profile certain individuals in the locker rooms. If you do not speak Spanish, some gym members will stop speaking English, and start speaking Spanish, when certain individuals are around. Some gym members go as far as retrieving their purses from their lockers, if non Mexican people are in the locker room. The bathrooms are not kept clean alot of times during the day. Here are photos from yesterday. One gym member saw the bathrooms, said, "How unsanitary", and decided not to use them. Just as I was writing this review, it happened again, three Mexican patrons, entered the locker room speaking English, saw me, started speaking Spanish, and left the locker room without locking up their purses. Personally, I feel that people who exude biases, get some form of karma somewhere in life, that will match their behavior. Although Planet Fitness quickly took care of their bathroom situation, it's Sunday September 30TH. I received sub par service from the two workers currently working. It's about 7:45 PM. The guy apologized. The girl Vivianna was argumentative with me when my massage lounger only went for five minutes. She said her screen says it's still going. I told her but it's not, would you like to go over to the chair. She said that didn't matter, I can't use anything until her screen says my time has stopped. I left the desk, when I returned she asked if I needed help. I told her not from her because she didn't help me the first time. So my lounge chair was not so relaxing. Those two are the worst workers I've experienced here so far.

Review based on NO HOT WATER FOR 6 MONTHS SINCE I INITIATED MY MEMBERSHIP SO WHY CHARGE A YEARLY MAINTENANCE FEE?
Facility is clean and well maintained... Staff is pretty friendly but I don't believe the franchise owner cares about his members because there is no hot shower after your workout... I've brought it to the attention of staff and the comments are always they don't know and they are working on it... for 6 months? Are you serious ... 1st step here next step franchise ... DOUBT that it will be resolved

Its clean and the only downside is that there is no free bar only assisted machines. Still worth coming to these gyms everything else is great. Membership is probably the lowest of all gyms at only 10$ a month.

Former employer so I know exactly how this place is. Mgr is completely incompetent and lazy. Completely inappropriate with her employees. Unless you consider sleeping with them ok in that case I guess that would be considered a job perk? Ever wonder what happens to the info they gather from you when you sign up? When she isn't laughing at you in the judgement free zone, she is seeing if you are dateable. Trust me you don't wanna go down that well worn hwy. Its been repaved many times over . Place literally has rats behind the desk that run across your feet on the graveyard shift . She says they are cute. Girls behind the desk pretend they don't speak Spanish when they don't want to work as well. Go to Chuze instead nice sincere employees it's cheaper and cleaner

This place is horrible to be honest. the gym and equipment is excellent however the manager Amber and her staff are not the right individuals to be employed in that gym. When I signed up none of the staff told me and my cousin we could not jump rope or bring our resistance bands. There were no rules enforced then suddenly the staff takes a personal vendetta against us. The manager Amber is one of the most unprofessional and disgusting individuals I have ever met. Its alright for her to interrupt your workout, stare/intimidate, and demonstrate inconsistency when enforcing rules among members. However when you want to talk to her and tell her that her behavior is unacceptable she will tell you that you are intimidating her and threatened you with revocation of your membership. In conclusion the staff has a sense of superiority which clearly contradicts the values of PF. I hope this review helps and save people time with this gym, and until the staff changed avoid this gym.

horrible, I know it's cheap but it's a really small gym. It's always busy and you can't workout as you want because people is always using all the machines. It's a really nice place and the service but I don't like a gym where you can't enjoy or workout as you wish.

I was scared for all the neg reviews that are on here... but I honestly needed to see it for myself and they were wrong!!! Gym is been taken care of 24/7... equipment is working, no staff has been rude to me at all, and patrons mind their own business... the only issue I have is that at night there are only female staff cleaning the bathrooms and gym, feels a little uncomfortable getting undress and dress around a female staff member.. overall is a pretty good gym

I am confused. Planet Fitness is suppose to be an establishment which promotes good health and fitness by providing the necessary equipment to accomplish that goal. However , they are also providing the members with free PIZZA once a month , and TOOTSIE ROLLS just about every day.
Seriously?! I am an obese woman who is doing her best to lose weight and eat healthy to avoid illnesses caused by the addiction to food just like others who frequent the gym and you want to offer PIZZA? I strongly believe that it would be more appropriate to offer a "Fruit Spread" instead of high cholesterol fat food , and diabetes causing candy. Lord knows I could use some natural and healthy fruit after my intense workout.

It really sucks. Not an open setting even though they make it look like it is. For one the membership isnt for the whole club and if you cant stick to their schedule you get boot from that area until you comeback next time.
If your trying to buy a membership for lets say your son or daughter as a surprise Gift you jist cant do it at the club as they demand that your Son/ daughter is there to sign up and they said the Bank account has to be in Son/daughters nama. You cant use your own.

For only $10 dollars a month you get poor customer service from Chula Vista most untrained staff thanks to the manager that can't do her job because she's can't stop playing with her hair all burnt and crispy i mean seriously come on havent you ever heard of conditioner anyways! like i was saying... come on down and get your membership for only $1 down!
Or!!!!!! better yet go down to chuze they have a fabulous theater so you watch the latest movies while you use the tridmill

If you are searching for a gym in Chula Vista to exercise and after your workout you need to take a cold shower this is the perfect place because hot water is a rarity in this gym throughout the whole year.

As for the postings about the homeless sleeping on the floor or washing clothes in the sinks that is total B. S. information. The 5th star you will get when you fix the water heater cause WE NEED HOT WATER EVERY DAY.

So I've never been to a planet fitness that has had so many maintenance days and plumbing issues. This is not some frivolous complaint. I clicked my shower most recently. In the 15 minutes running water on Wednesday, I was lucky for the 2 mins 37 sec of scalding close to burning hot to luke warm water this facility pumped out. The following day the facility posted a note that they were closed due to said plumbing problems and posted other locations to visit.
Also, the toilet is almost ravenous w/ it's refreshing spray inducing flush power/sensitivity and no seat cover to speak of. For a no frills gym, the equipment has been in good, working condition - this is also a new gym. I'm an avid gym goer, and have had practically no issue w/ customer service. They've recently taken away the bucket of grape tootsie rolls, not a losing point for me, but sometimes I enjoy the little pick me up after the 75% + cold shower and a hard work out. If Chuze had the right equipment I enjoy, I'd be there instead in a heartbeat.

Overall it is a good experience. Love the workout machines, what the gym stands for and the massage beds. Very cool. My biggest disappointment was when I signed up I specifically inquired about having classes and I was told there were and even given the calendar. But I showed up for a class the next day and then was told there were no classes because there was no teacher! (I guess one quit.) That definitely should have been communicated when I signed up. I felt lied to.

It's true that it's located near a shelter, I noticed a previous review stating unrest at the idea of someone rinsing "clothes" in the sink/shower (harmless). Someone's paying for that membership, "no judgement zone". end rant.
The women's locker room: 3 opaque shower door showers 1 curtained handicap, 3 private changing rooms with full length mirrors, a chair also theres a set of hooks for hanging items. 3 toilet stalls, 1handicap stall. Separate sink and counter area, Outlets on both ends of the make up/hair counter across from 3 sinks under 3 large oval mirrors that are well lit. The lockers come equipped with dial locks installed on locker door fronts, no need, or place, for a seperate lock. There is a weight scale. (no hand held blow dryers, there are forced air hand dryers)
Main gym has filtered water station. The equipment is well organized, and they have 2 Row Machines!!

I am a black card member here. As far as the facility is concerned... I enjoy working out and exercising here. But on the other hand, this location has a lot of problems with homeless. It's unfortunate to walk in the bathroom or attempt to take a shower while being bombarded buy homeless people sleeping on the floor in the locker room area or washing their clothes in the sink /shower. This problem needs to be fixed for good.

I was a trainer there and the facts are: No parking, homeless people everywhere, you will get sick from the AC(to cold) machines unsafe and breaking apart, nothing special about gym and staff is HORRIBLE, poor managment, 2 assistant managers and 2 trainers quit in less than 8 months, tells your alot!

Cool gym except the hot water heater in the showers are always going out. Ive been going go this gym for 8 months and its happened like 6 times. Not good at all

I'm a new member and have already soured on this place. First of all, the music is absolutely horrid, computerized garbage. Second, typical big box where they barely look up to greet you as you come in. It's always freezing in there. And there's a basic flaw in their no-judgement philosophy: this "lunk alarm" thing, where if you grunt or "show off" (in their eyes), then you're a lunk but we won't judge you. Huh? Nah. I'm gonna keep shopping around.

As a member since opening gym, it has been great, props as it is really open 24/7, the main reason I signed up. And Great variety of machines
No online or voicemail info with for opening day.... when you call, there is NO recorded message...you get a lame recording saying "the subscriber has a voicemail that hasnt been set up." For a busiess line???? I shouldn't have to drive by to get this simple info. I do hope this isn't a sign of how things will function.

I called today to ask if there was a kid's club service was available. I was asked if I was already a member. I replied no and was looking to switch from LA Fitness, since this gym is much closer. Instead of just answering my question, the gal read from a script of what memberships were available. At the end she asks me if I have any questions, I reply " yeah the one I asked you when you answered the phone." Then she tells me, "no we don't allow children here."
If she could've just answered my question, it would've saved wasting my time reading an obviously scripted sales pitch for a membership I would never be interested in. This to me reflects poor training.

Huge floor with great lighting, modern equipment, and friendly staff. I am upgrading my rating to 5 stars from 4 since they got the shower water temperature up to good level right away. For $10/mo, this gym is AMAZING.

]plenty parking. Air condition , sanitation spray and towels. Clean lots exercise equipment. Perfect for cardio, and loading weight. But not equipt for strength training. Drinks are half price which is awesome. Love this place but not enough heavy weights. Perfect for starters.
