I never even made it to therapy. The billing department is a JOKE! It took a WEEK to verify my benefits. I did it in 30 minutes by calling United Healthcare. The billing person argued with me 3 times, then made up a ridiculous story to support why they were trying to charge me $68 instead of my copay of $20. One week later, Annie called me back to tell me she FINALLY figured it out - yes, I was right! Luckily, I found Coast. The office manager called, verified my benefits, and scheduled my appointment in 15 minutes. Needless to say, PLEASE hire competent people. They are the front line and represent your business. What a shame, I saw the therapist reviews were awesome. Thank God COAST is AMAZING! I highly recommend them!!! Best of luck!
I can't recommend Catalyst enough. I've been in and out of physical therapy for years for the same issues and Catalyst is the only place that's helped me bring my body to a place where I actually feel truly better. Brian and Kristen have been amazing to work with, as well as my original PT Freddy who's since moved away. But my favorite part? All the extra wellness services after the physical therapy was over: acupuncture, personal training, and yoga training (to name just the ones I've tried). Pedro (personal training) and Amore (yoga) are both awesome and working with them has helped me transition safely and confidently from therapy to a normal active workout routine. Seriously, go here.
I can't recommend Catalyst enough. I've been through multiple physical therapy clinics for the same issue with my shoulder and elbow and Catalyst is the first place I've found that has produced real results. I've worked with three doctors there (first Emily, then Ellie and Jackie) and all of them were fantastic for me.
The clinic has a laid-back but professional atmosphere and everybody working there seems to genuinely enjoy their work and care about their patients, something that you don't find at every clinic.
What can I say? Brian is so legit! He genuinely cares about everyone who comes to Catalyst and goes above and beyond in trying to help people return to wholeness. He's the best PT I've ever had and I'll always go back to Catalyst for PT needs. Catalyst goes far beyond the traditional PT, so please check them out.
Shout out to Missy, who is also a wonderful PT! She's upbeat, she listens, she encourages, and found just the right program for me as I was rehabbing multiple joints from ongoing injuries/issues.
And great front desk help, as well. Thanks one and all!
I go to Catalyst for personal training with Pedro. I enjoy working with Pedro because I not only get a great workout, I feel that he really cares about my overall health and well-being. He encourages me to workout (or at least move around) outside our scheduled workout times and checks in on my eating habits. You really couldn't ask for a better trainer. He really cares and is extremely knowledgeable.
I enjoy the Catalyst facility as well. There's always lots of people there doing various things. That always serves as motivation for me to do my best. They have lots of different equipment to use and it's always clean. I highly recommend going to Catalyst.

Catalyst is my second home! From physical therapy to personal training to massage, Catalyst encompasses everything I could ever want to stay physically fit. Ralph Dartt's expertise got me out of a wheelchair after an ankle injury and walking again; I can never thank him enough. Brian very kindly made it possible for me to have the ongoing treatment that I needed. Jena Walther previously and now Pedro Sun have helped me tremendously with personal training. A massage from Kiran is the perfect cure for a stressful week! Everyone at Catalyst is friendly, kind, helpful, and very knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. Highly recommend!
It is so hard to find great physical therapist in my area but Austin Win was different. He takes his time and delivers exceptional customer service. The best part is that he is able to figure out your problem and get you back to where you were fast. If you need a physical therapist who cares and gets results see Austin Win.
It might seem odd to write a review of someone that you have yet to even meet, but when you find EXCEPTIONAL customer care and service in any area of medicine these days, its worth taking a moment to let others know. I recently sustained a pretty nasty ankle fracture requiring an ORIF. My trainers at Jackson Strength took my x-rays to Catalyst and a week after the injury I got a call from a lovely woman named Andrea. We discussed my injury and what the next steps were. The following week she called again to check on me. She arranged for the people in her office to obtain my insurance information in advance and to check on the need for any prior authorization. She kept track of when my orthopedic visit was and today, when I got clearance to move forward, she spent an inordinate amount of time communicating with me to work out a schedule. As a doctor of nursing practice, I feel well qualified to judge exceptional care. It's quite sad, but in this day and age, its not always easy to find. When a doctor of physical therapy goes to the lengths Andrea does to show the care and concern BEFORE meeting me or initiating treatment, I am quite confident that everything that will come after, will be nothing less then exceptional. Reading the other reviews, it seems to me that Catalyst has a culture that promotes excellence and I am feeling quite confident that this is the place I need to be for my rehab.
3/27/18 This is an update to my review that I wrote 2 weeks ago. I have since had the pleasure of working with Andrea and I cannot say ENOUGH wonderful things about her. She is an amazing listener. She understands my goals and has worked closely with my trainers to develop a program that is moving me along in my rehab much faster then even I expected. She is intuitive and creative and after each visit I feel empowered to carry out my program between our visits. As I predicted, Catalyst and Andrea, is truly what I need to get back to walking and hopefully running, in the very near future. Thank you Andrea!

Catalyst Physical Therapy has been helpful, available and professional. From the scheduling process, to the paperwork, follow up emails, texts and extra patient care from Andrea (as well as the staff in the office). Andrea spent the whole time with me versus sending me off alone to perform exercises. She ensured I was able to repeat the exercises myself so that I would be set up for success with my home stretching and strengthening. Andrea also explained in detail what exactly is going on in my injury and how I can make some life changes to reduce pain and increase strength and mobility. I'm excited to continue care and recommend that you contact Catalyst.
Catalyst and their team are a true gem to San Diego! Brian, Andrea and their team recently took care of the athletes at an event we hosted at WAVE Volleyball in Del Mar. The event showcased beach volleyball athletes from USC, UCLA and Cal Poly Colleges. The Catalyst team was on-site to take care of these amazing athletes. The event was a hit, everyone was safe, well taken care of and some great connections took place on multiple fronts. THANK YOU Catalyst for your time, energy and professionalism at this great event!

I was fortunate to be able to work with both Brian and Andrea who helped me with my chronic low back issue (degenerative disc disease) and knee weakness (bilateral ACL repair years ago from skiing injuries). Following a thorough initial assessment, they guided me in a progressively more active exercise program focusing on core strength and flexibility that really helped me. Gradually, pain and stiffness have subsided and mostly disappeared.
Since I enjoy surfing and staying active, I really appreciate this positive outcome. The process itself was actually enjoyable. Besides their professionalism, Andrea and Brian are both patient, caring, and encouraging, and also friendly, cheerful and capable.
Thanks Catalyst. You guys are awesome!

Dr. Austin Win is a great therapist that sees you as a WHOLE person. He actually listens to your issues and helps you throughout the process step by step and never feeling overwhelmed (especially since you are injured). Can not recommend him enough. Would definitely send any of my family members to see him at Catalyst!
I can't say enough great things about Catalyst PT & Wellness, but I'll try! After I took a hard spill on a long trail run that left me with extreme pain Brian and his crew of amazing staff helped me get back my range of motion and actually feel strong enough to run again. Not only did I get better, I left with tools on how to keep myself from getting injured again! Now that I'm better I can't help but stay for Kristen's amazing sports massages!!!
Dr. Austin Win is THE BEST physical therapist in the area. He is extremely knowledgeable, passionate and insightful. He truly cares about you as a whole person and I would highly recommend him to friends and family members!
Austin is an engaging physical therapist. His unique background in nutrition complements his skills and provides clients with whole body wellness. It's easy to tell how much he cares about his clients.
I appreciated being able to chat with someone on the phone and setup an appointment promptly when I got hurt on the beach during what !was supposed to be a happy go-lucky vacation visiting family. No regrets going here and learning more about why my hip strength matters even though I came in for an ankle injury. Highly recommend and would go again! Thank you Austin Win for helping me out!
Catalyst PT and Wellness should get 10 stars! I am an RN and I work long 12 hour shifts on my feet; that, coupled with being pregnant with my first baby, put my pelvis out of alignment and I was in serious pain. Just normal activities like getting up from a chair caused me pain and I wondered how the heck I was going to get through the rest of my pregnancy. And then Kelsey came to my rescue! After my first screening with her, I felt better! The pain was almost nothing when I left the clinic and the following days got progressively better with the stretches she sent me home with. I stayed committed to the daily stretching because it worked. I'm so thankful to have found Catalyst! I'm so confident that Kelsey will get me through my pregnancy healthy, strong and pain free! Thank you, Catalyst!
From Mike Wifler: I just completed a six month rehab of my right shoulder following extensive rotator cuff and upper bicep surgery. I selected Catalyst PT and Wellness because I was aware of the expertise and exceptional qualifications of the Physical Therapists and their support staff members. At the onset I was in a sling and could not raise my arm. Kristen Knightly, Laurel Proullx and Brian Wilson created a program specifically for my injuries that enabled me to achieve nearly full recovery of range of motion, strength and mobility. I have been thoroughly impressed with their knowledge, experience and application of their extensive skillsets. Each session was intense producing measurable results as we worked through a series of exercise and manipulation. I can't thank them enough for the care, the concern and the extreme effort they put forth on my behalf. Thank you, thank you and thank you one hundred times over. Mike Wifler
I had a knot in my upper back that is difficult to undo. Brian took care of it quickly and gently, so I had relief in an instant. Not only is he very knowledgeable about physical therapy he is also very passionate about wellness. I definitely highly recommend that anyone with a need for physical therapy and rehabilitation go to Catalyst!
