24 Hour Fitness has now charged my card twice during the COVID pandemic, while their doors have been closed...where are your ethics and how is this allowed? You're not even offering your service. Meanwhile my car insurance company is providing discounts and refunds because people are driving less, while you do nothing.
It's not 24hr Fitness anymore. I live 1mi away and now it's only 20hr Fitness!!! The only non-busy times they're closed for. Now you have to face the rush all the time.
Now I have to go all the way to Rosecrans from now on
I've been going there for almost 15 years on and off. The staff is consistently nice and polite, they gym itself is large enough that you can move around without feeling confined, there is a lot of equipment and usually you can get access to what you need, there's a basketball court with plenty of action, sauna, steam room, pretty decent parling.
I left one star off because there could be a few improvements such as providing more gym owned basketballs sitting in the court, somehow getting customers to be more clean in the male restrooms, but overall it's an excellent experience

Staff is great in Hermosa, but the parent Corp is a bunch of criminals. Watch your billing closely. They love to double bill and will randomly increase your rates without any notice. Terrible company.
Went to this gym for the first time today. This location is funky. Parking garage is cramped, the gym is cramped and overcrowded, the dumbbell racks were all but empty (literally), I walked in and walked right back out it was not for me. I'll stick to my usual locations, more spacious and less crowded.
I have been working out for the last 10 years and have never had an experience as bad as I had here. Was attempting to sign up for a 3 day pass but ultimately never made it into the gym. After waiting for 5 minutes for a representative to help me, I was denied entry due to the fact I had just moved to CA from out of state. The rep had zero personality and was extremely rude. He then attempted to strong arm me into a membership, or pay the 25 dollar day rate. He then gave me one membership option and told me no other gym in LA would allow me in with an out of state ID, which I know is false. All in all I was treated very unfairly and would highly recommend anyone considering this gym to seek elsewhere.
The facility is a great spot. Unfortunately the staff can't keep the members in line. The wet area is always having issues. Members constantly wear shoes making it dirty in the sauna and steam room
The gym is a great gym, even without the latest amenities. The patrons are horrible, especially in the weight room. I have never seen messier weights. Hardly anyone re-racks properly, and some days you spend have your time roaming the gym for a matching dumbbell.

Shout out to Kensie for his *super* accommodating service. Made two Utah girls very happy!!! Thank you!
Place looks old and run down. I wish they have newer amenities.
The filthiest 24 I've ever been in. So much broken equipment. You have to check out Barbell Collars because, I guess people steal them? Wow! This is supposed to be a super sport. No towel service no executive lockers. Broken, outdated cardio equipment, crappy layout, broken doors in the steam room. The one thing it has going for it is the small TRX and the personal training area is cleanish. It's pretty much a sport with a super sport name but run down to boot! If I was the GM I'd be ashamed. I'll go back because it's near where I work but it's not worth it if you can find something closer. It's definitely the most in-Super super sport you can go to.
This gym has it all. Would not go between 5-8:30pm just like any other gym. The equipment can use some updating but they are working on it...very slowly.
I checked 5 places before I sign to help me compares in the overall and then decide. This one was the best and I am glad we sign into it.
Locker room on lower level is always dirty, the rotten egg smell has been there by the sink since I joined 2 months ago... Also, self locks are constantly broken/locked but with door open so no one can use them/locked closed but empty... If it wasnt for this one locker room I'd give 5 stars
I came to Hermosa Beach for 3 weeks for Business and I'm trying to close a new project with my client so I can move to this area next month. Yesterday, I decided to check out the gyms around and I found this gym called "24 hours fitness" which is very close to the hotel where I'm staying. I saw in their web site that they offer a "3 free day pass' so I decided to get it. I filled out some information in their web page and I got an email with my "3 free day pass". Today I went to the gym to start my trial period and they let me work out for that moment then when I was leaving, the manager, a guy called Ray, tried to force me to purchase a membership. He said that usually there's a $150 fee + a $40 monthly payment + a commitment of 1 year. He said that if I do it today I don't pay the $150 fee. well, I thought I could try the gym for 3 days and he said that I would have to pay $25 dolars per day. I just wonder if they have ever gotten a customer with that approach. Also I wonder if it was just a discrimination once he realized that I'm not a native English speaker and maybe he thought that I was just a tourist that would never become a client. That was one of the most ridiculous thing that I've ever seen in my whole 33 years of life. I was going to buy a protein at the gym because I don't have any at the hotel but after this terrible experience I ended up buying it at another store right across the street. Unfortunately, when I move to this area, that is the gym that I will never walk in. Also I'm going to talk to my attorney to give this guy(or the institution) what they deserve.
Not too pricey but I feel it's worth it. The gym can get packed depending if its peak hours but there's so many options that it's easy to improvise and find a spot on equipment. It's really big, pretty clean, people are friendly and outgoing, a tad humid but a good gym experience. Shout out to "Ray Ray" for hooking me up. Check it out!
The equipment is good. The people that lift are friendlier than most gyms. There's many serious lifters which I like, but plenty of more casual people. Everyone is polite and respectful, at least that I've run into. As a women who lifts, I don't always find that to be true at gyms.
I wish the pool changing were cleaner, it's filthy. The upstairs women's changing room is much cleaner.
The facilities aren't taken care of. Today every paper towel dispenser was out of paper. The person at the front desk was aware of this but said they were expecting a shipment. How hard is it to keep supplies in stock?
the pool and jacuzzi and steam room are not kept up. dirty floors around the area. and the men's bathroom and showers and locker rooms are unkempt as well. the jacuzzi is closed more than its open. they have a lot of staff members working to sell memberships and checking when you check in..but only one house keeping gentleman I've seen rarely cleaning. the parking is free here and always plenty of parking too. the machines upstairs in the gymnasium are dirty as well. great location. friendly staff. free parking. but poorly maintained.
