We joined this gym because it was cheap and had all the equipment we wanted, but we soon realized it was a mistake to sign up here for several reasons. The treadmills always had gum or tissue in the cup holders. The bathrooms were always disgusting and I dreaded whenever I had to use one. They would randomly take padding off of equipment without leaving any signs. There would be blood on the base of the squat racks. Their free weights were always a mess. They had a ton of employees standing around talking to each other, would have been nice if some of them could have addressed these issues. They have a very convenient system for getting into the gym, but they even managed to ruin that. Even though you should just be able to scan your phone and go, they insist on holding the scanner themselves so we would often wait in line for an employee to get off the phone or stop talking to each other and sign me in. My husband were finally able to cancel after waiting the 6 months to avoid the fee. This took forever and the front desk employees were no help. We finally figured it out and realized it was so difficult because both of our birthdays were entered in incorrectly by one day. The fact that both were this way makes me wonder if they didn't do it on purpose to make it more difficult to cancel. Either way we are relieved to be done with this gym and would not recommend it to anyone.

Overall I like the gym. My biggest issue is that it is so crowded all the time. Parking lot get filled and sometimes takes a second to fine a spot. Staff is friendly. Prices are relatively good. Equipment is nice

As gyms go, this a great one. Clean. Spacious. Well equipped. Great instructors and trainers. Very nice heated pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Wonderful water massage beds.

Love the gym, classes, and kid care!! Honestly the daycare is what keeps me going back- my little girl absolutely loves it and always has so Much fun with all of their little activities- feels more like a preschool than kid care. Loving all the new upgrades with the new gym as well

Got me all sweaty and junk Which is a good thing. I could stand to lose a few pounds. Especially around the love handle areas. And probably lay off the sweets a bit. All and all not a bad place to work out. Beware tho in evening it gets packed. Come during lunch hour. Much better time to come and to workout all the equipment seemed to be in working order and the sauna was the best part. Sweat out all the toxins in my body. Making dad bods great again. Horrible customer service. Such a greedy company! It's a nightmare trying to cancel a member ship and that's if they cancel it properly and don't decide to just continue to charge you even though you already called or canceled online. They will have you on the phone for hours until they feel like answering you. You leave a voice mail or hold your place in line so that they can call you back when it's your turn...Don't hold your breath, they wont bother calling you back. They do anything to try to keep you from canceling your membership.

It is a really big nice gym with a lot of equipment. The only reason I give it 4 stars is that it can get extremely busy and as a result, messy. The staff is great and really helpful. You cant beat the price of their gun memberships either.

I've been going to this gym for a couple of years now and it's okay. They've made a couple changes that I'm not a fan of. Namely taking out a racquetball court for another personal training area. Because the one in the middle of the gym isn't enough and then forcing people who use the guest pass to sign in again and again and again. My wife has signed the guest pass hundreds of times and it would be nice if she didn't have to do it every single time.

The equipment is well taken care of. Fun staff. Lots of people at some times and then nice and quiet at other times. The pool, sauna, and hot tub are way nice as well.

The place itself is great. But the corporate staff is unfriendly and hard to work with. When I tried to cancel even though I had been a member for about 8 months it cost me over $60. The gym was also rarely clean and not just this location because I've been to multiple and haven't ever received good service.

Be careful if you ever give them any of your information. They like to steal your money and not even give you any benefits. My husband and I were robbed of money by this institution and we have never even had a gym membership. We have never set foot in one of their gyms, but they created fake accounts and are saying we owe them money. I do not recommend this institution at all. Be careful to not give them your information.

I had back surgery in February of 2017 as a result of a bad back injury. After my surgery, my doctor told me that physical therapy wasn't necessary, and that all I needed to do was just walk every day, and then I would be fine to go back to work in a month or 2. After almost nearly a year, I was still struggling with my strength, stamina, and just general ability to function. So I went in to the University branch to talk with someone about what my options were.

I went in and talked with Brandon, told him my circumstances and immediately was met with understanding. He walked me around the gym and introduced me to some of the trainers there, and we started the process of figuring out what my limits were. I've been working with a trainer since January of 2018, and it has been an overwhelmingly positive experience. It has been difficult at times, since my body was in need of so much work all around, but Chelsea has worked with me, and helped me so much, and has made sure that during the whole process we both were mindful of my limitations, how my body was adapting, but still being able to push limits and be aggressive enough to make the results of all the work we have done show. I have lost weight, regained strength, stamina, mobility, and feel like I have made significant gains in my every day ability to function. The help and encouragement I got from the staff at this location has been amazing, and I feel so much better. I wish I had started a training program sooner, it has been worth everything I paid for and then some.

Free weight area is always packed. I have to go at 10pm or later if I want a chance to use the squat rack or bench press area. Facility in general seems to be pretty clean and provides many cool amenities although I haven't personally tried them all yet. Popular place for people of all ages.

Super impressed with the facility and equipment. Just started the personal trainer membership. The trainers I've met so far are great at what they do. Adam and Jamie are the best.

People are very nice, informative. Results are definitely there. Only concern is lack of consistency between coaches, in that one May Day something & another will tell you different.

I always hear horror stories about canceling gym memberships. Honestly I plan on coming back, but I had to temporarily cancel. It was easy, simple, and I was treated so so well! Very surprised, thank you for making it easy for me Vasa great great gym.

Great amount of space. Even when it gets crowded I think there's enough space to workout, which is awesome because it gets busy. The employees are very kind and helpful. Gym goers have always been kind and respectful too, like in asking if I'm using something or not. Great gym.

The VASA location at university parkway is amazing! Every time I go to my classes and workouts I always leave happy that I spent my time there. The people there are crazy nice all the time, and I never feel awkward, or worry how people are looking at me while I train. Just very great vibes all the time!

DO not sign up for this gym! I would give zero stars if I could. I have been trying to cancel my membership and it has been a nightmare. I tried to cancel through their online service, it didn't go through. I called to talk to someone, and I was told I needed to pay $25 to cancel, but I have been a member over a year and the contract says the cancellation fee is only applied if you've been a member 6 months or less. I spoke with another person who then said I just needed to pay for one more month to cancel, I was upset about this, but I paid the $21.34 monthly fee. I completed the cancellation through the online cancellation process and received two emails saying the cancellation processed. I then got another email today saying I owe $25 and that my cancellation has been suspended until I pay, (I did check with my bank and the $21.24 I already paid to cancel did process). and that normal monthly fees will begin to continue again. I AM FURIOUS. I called my bank and asked them to block VASA gym because I don't know what else to do to keep them from withdrawing from my account. Horrible customer service. HORRIBLE. There is literally no end or way to get out of this contract. Also the customer service with the people on the phone was the worst. So horrible and do not try to help you, just to get more money from you.

The group fitness instructors are great, but the aerobics room is FILTHY. There are hairballs and dust in every corner, especially against the East wall and around the stereo. Today there was dried blood several places on the floor, and chewed gum left on the stage. More than once I have seen gum stuck to the dumbells. Also today, a lady attending the 6am pump class was sweeping up her area before she set up her equipment. Why is there a broom left out in a public area? Why does it seem to never be used other than when the paying client uses it? There is always equipment strewn around the room, and the fan on the stage is literally caked with dust. Complaints from class members seem to fall on deaf ears. Does the corporate office even know what's happening in their own gym? A few years ago the room was kept relatively clean, but it's been deplorable for a long time now.

I have really enjoyed training with Paul! He is enthusiastic about helping me reach my goals and is very knowledgeable about technique and placement so if something feels or looks wrong he knows exactly how to fix it. I am a lot stronger than when I started and I feel more confident in all aspects of my life. I would definitely recommend Paul! He is the right combination of understanding my limitations (and being kind about them) and pushing me to my max so I can get the most out of our workouts. His group classes are challenging and fun and his 1-on-1 trainings are awesome!

VASA is such an incredible gym!! The equipment is great, the other people who workout there are great, but their staff is INCREDIBLE!!

I had the opportunity to work with a personal trainer, Jenny, while I was a member (I had to stop due to us moving to Idaho). Jenny was really good about knowing when I could give a little more. She helped me see a new potential in myself that I hadn't ever known before. With her help, I was able to strengthen my legs and run my first half marathon! Jenny wasn't just a trainer to me, she is my dear friend! Even now that I live in Idaho, she still checks up on me and gives me advice and guidance as to things that I can do to stay in shape. Jenny was really good about not just teaching me what was good, but giving me specific tools so that I could do things on my own.

For nearly a decade I was an inactive, sedentary, busy, working, autism mom dealing with high stress and having little motivation and energy to take care of myself. I knew I wanted to change my life but wasn't sure where to start. I decided to join a gym and lucky for me they had affordable personal training. I could have chosen anyone, but after meeting Jenny, it was her cheerful, easy-going demeanor and enthusiasm for my success (and fitness generally) that seemed the perfect match. And I was right! She doesn't shout or over-push to motivate me as many trainers may do. She makes her expectations for me clear by meeting me on my level and encouraging me to keep moving forward. Her manner is respectful and friendly and I'm amazed how easily she adapts to my individual needs. She invites motivation to rise from within me rather than pushing it on to me. She totally inspires!

Only giving 3 stars because the gym is fine, but I can only go during the day (when it's not ridiculously crowded) if I leave my baby in the daycare center. I check on him all the time when we're there. Well, only the SECOND time there I go to check on him and no one is watching him. He's in his stroller (it's his nap time so all they had to do was literally look at him) and the diaper bag is attached. There is another kid taking out his wipes and wiping him with them. Obviously I said something and the girl ran over nervously. There were 2 women and one of them was sitting on her butt while the other was in charge of like 4 toddlers and my baby. Obviously he wasn't hurt, but I couldn't even finish my workout without being anxious that no one was watching him. It's been about a week and I haven't taken him back. If you're not a parent you'll probably think I'm overreacting, in which case I don't really care. They just need to get some people in there who actually pay attention. I loved the girls who were there the first day, not so much the second time. There is even a separate area behind another gate for small babies so the older ones don't bother them, if he was in there while they watched him I would've felt much better.

I've just started coming here, and I love it! I enjoy that it's 24 hours and offers Sundays. The pool is kept clean and has a crazy friendly staff! Thanks VASA :-)

Don't go here. What a waste of money and the customer service is poor. I've been to other gyms and have always had a better experience. The only reason people go here is because it's cheap. I have done and paid for their personal training and they screwed me over. Told me that I got two training sessions twice a week and then when I went to schedule a session they told me "two tokens" means one training session and a training session is 30 mins. If you don't use all your sessions they also expire and you can't use them. They also will charge you hidden fees. Their sales reps will tell you whatever you want to hear and when it comes down to it. They don't care. I told them I was disputing the charge they put on my credit card unauthorized and they threatened to send me to collections. Go anywhere else! Seriously. These people suck. Also I've never had a late payment anywhere so it's not because I'm a poor college student. These people just SUCK!

Loving the TEAM Training at Vasa. All the trainers are awesome, the workouts are killer, and working out as a group makes it so fun. After just one workout, I immediately felt my metabolism kick into high gear that same day. Really awesome.

And I have to give a special shoutout to my personal trainer, Jenny. She is AMAZING. So positive, so observant (she'll keep on top of your form!), and she knows her stuff. Love her attitude towards fitness, too--it's really all about feeling good and taking care of yourself. Couldn't find a better trainer.
