It would be nice if they told people they were closing or put up a sign that said closed I just tryed going up there at 9 and they were closed I checked my email and got and email from them at 8:35 nice advanced notice

Gym itself is fine, albeit a bit small. It's the staff that are the real problem - nobody is really interested in actual customer service. The people behind the counter spend 90 percent of their time chatting or flirting with one another, and act like you walking in and needing to scan your badge is a major inconvenience to them. Rarely do you even get greeted (AFTER saying hello first), and when you do it's begrudgingly. Avoid this location like the plague if you want a welcoming atmosphere.

I feel like every other location is better than this one. Parking here is terrible and the gym itself is so small and uncomfortable to work out in. But the absolute worst thing about this gym is the smell. I don't know if because it's not ventilated very well and isn't very big or what but the scent hits you as soon as you open the door. I live walking distance to this gym but go out of my way to go to different locations.

Great place to workout! It is very clean, the staff are totally upbeat and friendly. This location has plenty of water bottles for purchase I bought mine from here especially for the price! Honestly you get pretty awesome deals each month for signing up and you will love the staff!

A basic gym that's extremely affordable and open 24/7. You really can't have an excuse. LOL

It's a decent place to workout. Never really reviewed a gym before... but it's the best 10 dollars a month that I have ever spent. But of course you will only get out of it what you put into it. You don't just magically lose weight because you have a gym membership lol.

My big concern was the showers in the women's restroom. They always have hair on the walls. As I am here frequently, I've noticed that they are the same hairs on the walls, which suggests to me that the showers are not being cleaned. That's unsanitary and just plain gross.

This was the worst Planet Fitness that I have been to. My first impression was the locker rooms. They barely renovated from whatever the space was before. As far as the workout area goes...it needs to be updated. There is a crowded free weight and weight lifting area, there are plenty of treadmills, but NO STAIR STEPPER. That was a huge downside for me. Also, I only noticed one station for cleaning spray and towels. There should be a trashcan and cleaning station at every different type of area (cardio, arms, legs, weights, abs, etc).

Staff is always friendly and all areas are clean. Only complaint is there are only 4 upright bikes which means a long wait usually. Staff cannot explain why Fox News is on 2 TVs and MSNBC is not on at all.

I didn't use my membership enough to say anything too harsh. I feel like the personal trainers pretty much give you a cookie cutter routine regardless of what your needs are. My biggest complaint is how ridiculous it is that in 2018 you can't cancel a membership via telephone or online. Why do I have to physically come in or mail (ha) a letter asking to end my subscription, ridiculous.

I also remember the time I saw staff blatantly racially profile someone and try to accuse him of using someone elses membership....

I was treated badly by a staff employee and when I tried to address this with another team member I was ignored. I canceled my membership and never recieved an apology. Poor customer service.

Planet Fitness in general is a great deal. For the money, you really get a lot. This location is crowded, so sometimes parking is an issue, but not often. The staff is friendly, and they have good hot water in the showers.

I've been to various Planet Fitnesses' around Columbus and this one is perhaps the busiest. This translates into it not being the cleanest. I often see staff hanging out behind the counter instead of walking around and tidying up the place.
It only takes one to two people to check people in. No reason why there should be six people behind the desk hanging out. The floor in the men's locker room is often wet, sometimes flooded, and the lockers need to be sprayed down routinely because they all smell like feet. The equipment also needs to be regularly maintained and wiped down.
When I went to LA fitness they at least had one person constantly cleaning the place, and they had lower traffic.

Real geniuses working the desk there. I was in from out of town and needed a day pass. They kept my drivers license! You have one simple job to do....Then you would think they mail it to you since it was their incompetence. Nope they just toss it. How bout send me the $10 it cost to replace it?

Smaller than most in Columbus but plenty of treadmills. Like paper towels in bathroom (just me I guess). Very clean and staff very friendly. Like the lockers.

Always clean, open 24/7. Could use a bigger weight selection, but there are plenty of machines for cardio and assisted lifting.

Very nice and formidable staff, without a doubt! But definitely a very dirty location. The men's locker/bathroom was disgusting with q-tips all over the floor and toilet paper. Rather revolting! Not going there again, for sure.

Clean enough gym floor with an odd layout.
Bigger issue is the staff's sticky fingers. I left a small bag at the gym ended up confirmed to be in lost and found by staff over the phone. Overnight, my bag and contents were stolen after 3rd shift worked that night. It contained headphones my tablet charger and a backup phone battery. Staff confirmed it disappeared since confirming it was on hand. Brought to management's attention.
UPDATE: suspected employee was confronted about the items and issue by mgmt, employee stopped showing for work.

It's ok, I'm just uncomfortable with so many younger people. It's frequently crowded, so that makes me even more uncomfortable. I liked victory gym, where it was all old women. It's a fine gym, it's certainly cheap, but it's not for me.

Bigger issue is the staff's sticky fingers. A small pouch fell out of my gym bag while leaving which contained my extra charging pack, tablet charger and cell phone charger. When I realized what I was missing I went back to the gym. They confirmed they did have my stuff but it was locked up in the back. Multiple staff members know me and knew it was mine. During the lapse between this being "locked up" and me coming to pick it up it was taken. So if you lose something and a good Samaritan happens to turn it in... The staff will just take it for themselves. At least they gave me my empty battery bag back... Assholes

I've been to a good amount of different location when I travel and this planet fitness isn't bad at all. A little outdated in some areas yes, but has a good amount of equipment and is reasonably clean. They only reason I give them a 3 out of 5 is customer service. I'm comparing the customer service here vs other planet fitness I've been to. When you walk in the simple how's your day going and when you leave have a great day can leave a lasting impression over time(from personal experience) it's funny because the newer staff are actually nicer and more customer friendly then the more experienced staff. This is an easy fix and I'm interested to see if this review gets noticed and I see a difference in the future.
