Some good some bad. I visit Grove City for two weeks out of the year. I go to this gym because it's close to my hotel. I pay for a one week membership price is fine. The bad is that I keep getting spam calls asking me to sign up for a membership and that there is only one squat rack and it's also the only place to do deadlifts in the gym. The good is at least they have the one squat rack and no one uses it so it's always open.

Also they don't have a towel service, they should have a towel service.

This is a decent gym to go and get your work done. It's nothing elaborate or fancy. But given the gyms in my commuting area, this gym was almost the lesser if two evils. The other gyms weren't as big and just weren't feasible. I honestly prefer the LA fitness location on broad street in Columbus. Its substantially bigger, two stories with the first floor dedicated to weight lifting including a pool and basketball court. The staff at the grove city location is hit or miss. Some are friendly some are not. On the weekends it is not uncommon for trash to overflow, soap dispensers and paper towels to be empty. Again the lesser of two evils. The price is steep, I pay $36/month, but can use all the locations in Ohio, which is cool since I from Cleveland and travel back and forth frequently. If you want elaborate, chose the broad street location. If your staying in the grove city area, it will probably be the best gym you can get.

I love it there, except they're a bit shady when it comes to their contracts. They say they'll work with you when you're having financial issues but they'll only except a buy out of the contract of 50 percent of what you owe. That's the only way out. So if they say they'll work with you then call them out. They won't. Read the fine print.

My friend invited me to work out with him and we would use his guest pass. Big mistake. Never got to work out with my friend cause they gave me a sales pitch for 40 minutes. Then they said they would let me try it for free for a week. Tried it, did not like it. Called them less than a week later and told them I was not interested. They charged me anyway. Called back, they said I would get my money back in 5-10 business days. Never happened. Called back 3 weeks later, only to have them tell me it is too late to return my money, and they went and charged me for another month. Which means they never canceled me. They were "kind" enough to return the one month fee, or so they said. I haven't checked my statement today. I could not have made it any more clear I did not want to join. Stay clear.

Not what it appears to be. I used to attend this gym when it was Urban Active and I loved it. However, after L.A. took over they rearranged this one about 18 mos ago and made it smaller, with sections that most people that work out don't use in our demographic, (like a big spinning room), never use. Not only is it smaller than it used to be, but if you want to use say, the ropes, or other equipment that can only be found in the personal training area like rowing machine or balls, they are inaccessible while personal training sessions are active, even though the equipment may be unoccupied a the time. This is a big hassle.

No sauna, track. pool or gym court like the other locations...in my opinion its just not worth the money.
