I've been going to Modo for a few years now and truly look forward to every class. Thankful for the great community Chad and his team have created.

TLDR: An aesthetically pleasing studio recommended for people looking to supplement their current exercise routine.

I did the one month trial membership at Modo. Here are my thoughts:
Pros:
-Modo Yoga has an excellent practice space and a friendly staff. The locker rooms are clean, the lobby is spacious and welcoming, and the staff are kind.
-I would recommend this place to those seeking to supplement their workout routine with one or two yoga classes a week. Find a couple instructors you like and stick with them. The owner, Chad Underwood, has a particularly good class which I recommend to anyone.
-The staff have frequent, very cool social events to grow their community such as monthly evening socials, weekend retreats, and yoga + brunch combos at local restaurants.

Cons:
-Although I enjoyed the majority of my classes, I *sometimes* found myself "just going through the motions" or "trying to follow along" without feeling that there was much emphasis from the instructor on proper form among practitioners. Important cues such as foot placement, hip orientation, and weight distribution were sometimes neglected, and I felt like there was a strong expectation for yogis to already know the nuances of proper form before arriving.

Overall: This is a great studio for people looking to supplement their existing workout routine or looking for a casual yoga practice. I look forward to following their progress over the next year or two; this studio has a lot of potential to become one of Ohio's premier yoga studios.

I love this place... If I didn't come here once a week I feel like I would end up Karate Chopping someone...

In all seriousness EVERY instructor here has been so incredible. I have felt nothing but welcomed, this is such a great community to be a part of.

Even if you aren't an experienced Yogi this is the place for you..

I love this place! I started almost a month ago & I was really nervous. I never took a group class & I've only ever done yoga on a home DVD. I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone who works here is extremely warm, helpful & supportive. It's good for any level of yogi. I'm so thankful and greatful for my time at modo!

By far my favorite spot to practice in town. I spent too many years avoiding hot yoga because of one torturous experience. I'm so glad Modo has come to Columbus! The style is truly unique and adaptable to all levels, abilities, and fitness/wellness goals. The classes are varied and there's something for everyone and every day.
The showers are a wonderful amenity--whether getting ready for work after a 6am class, or cooling off after a Modo Flow class with Elizabeth.
I was hooked after my first class, but mostly because Elizabeth, Chad, and Corey make each and every student welcome, and always take the time to check in with you after class. Cultivating a consistent practice seems effortless with the support of teachers who constantly encourage and guide students inside class, as well celebrate their developments with them.

I have been going to Modo in Columbus since August. I Love Love Love it there. First: The facility is beautiful: Clean, Showers are great, locker room is great - I LOVE the soap! The yoga room is excellent. The floors- not sure if they are cork?? but they are comfortable. The window to the sunrise - during the 6 am class is awesome and the fans and humidity is perfect. Second: The owners and instructors are outstanding. Personable, talented, terrific yoga instructors. Third: The yoga is a fab combo of strength of body and strength of mind. The room is hot so you always get your sweat on. And each day there is an intention that is generally just what I needed. I feel good inside and out after doing Modo! Tx for coming to C-bus!

Try Modo just once and my guess is that you'll be hooked. Instructors are awesome. Space is beautiful. There's classes for all levels. I've been going there since last Summer and still, after every time I leave I feel better physically and mentally. Go there. Get your sweat on. You'll love it.

I was looking for something to compliment my strength training. I tried Modo soon after they opened last year and haven't stopped going. All of the instructors have been great and have worked to help me improve my practice. Whether you're a novice or experienced, the instructors set the tone so you can advance at your own pace. If a particular position isn't possible for you yet, they offer variations for you to learn. I'm glad I tried it out and look forward to many more sessions.

From the minute you walk through the door you're greeted with a welcoming staff! Environment is calming and relaxing. They encourage you to take breaks and grab water during your practice. The other members of the class do as well, so you as a newbie won't feel uncomfortable. I think everything was just really relatable and exactly what I was looking for to begin a great foundation of a yoga practice!

Took a hot yoga class at this new studio on Sunday with the owner Elizabeth. This is by far my favorite Columbus spot for hot yoga!! The studio is a beautiful clean space with just the right amount of heat. There are showers available too, which is nice because you sweat a ton! Elizabeth was clearly in tune with the level of the class she was teaching and made sure the class was challenging for everyone while also giving modifications and making sure the students were doing the poses safely and correctly. The class was perfectly paced and the ideal blend of flexibility, balance and strength training. I highly recommend Modo Yoga!
