I had to laugh at the reviews. Obviously these people don't have a lot of experience with other gyms, especially national chains. There are literally a dozen programs and classes a day, from yoga and water aerobics to boxing and body pump classes, spinning, plates, etc. They have indoor and outdoor pools in great shape and clean, a large hot tub and a steam room. Unlimited towel service and locker use, private high number showers, super friendly and constantly working custodial staff, indoor and outdoor basketball courts, racket ball courts and an indoor track. The childcare is excellent, you are required to call ahead and there is limited (this is a good thing) slots to ensure good care/teacher ratios, my kids love it and there are programs and swim lessons and even a "parents night out" option, etc.
This type of club is built around a higher than average monthly cost. Provided you are down with a $70/month fee, you will appreciate the significant upgrade vs defined fitness and its better than LA Fitness, 24 HR fitness, Golds and others like it.
It's always a hard sell when you first go, like any place. They'll waive the start up fee, then you just go yearly or monthly, and whatnot like everywhere else. You can't get out early of your contract, just like every single other gym in the planet without penalty, so go month to month for $10 more. This is gym 101 stuff people...
