I am a fan of Equinox in other cities and the new Lincoln Common location, however the Lincoln Park location is poorly run and in need of a total makeover. For the fees they charge you're better off joining a local gym for $25 a month because the LPK Equinox location isn't much better.... more
The equipment is well maintained and the staff is nice. They have all the standard cardio/weight equipment as well as a great functional fitness area. The locker rooms aren't the best but they get the job done.... more
Great and convenient gym. I have been a member here for years since the price and location is right for me. Hope they reopen soon!. Seems like this place won't be open anytime soon.... more
Really nice to get outdoors with some climbing. Great experience with a good mix of easy and difficult routes.. Please let us use our own helmets! My wife and I flew from the Seattle area to visit Chicago, read everything about the climbing wall INCLUDING where it says we can use our own gear only to show up and be told we must use the helmets that they provide.... more
Very rude staff as a rule at all locations. Many staff members gawk at gym members while they are working out or sit around on their phone. Dirty, old and broken equipment. Suspect positive reviews are fake.... more
Pros: Friendly staff, spacious, clean pool and good variety of equipment. Cons :Water fountain had been scheduled for maintenance for months. The mats are worn and sometimes shereded in half.... more

I was a member here when I lived in Chicago and after moving and joining other gyms, I cannot say enough good things about this gym. No other gym I've been to stands up to LVAC. Incredibly clean, well kept, excellent spa-like locker rooms, and the teachers and trainers were amazing, specifically one man who taught Body Pump! He put together the best playlist and always brought his energy and excitement and I miss his class! Highly recommend this gym.... more
It's a great community and facility! The club is clean and has so many programs/events. Tennis, fitness, and social all in one membership!. The weight area is too small and they are missing critical equipment such as a calf raise machine and dedicated tricep dip station.... more

Horrible gym. Horrible! No matter what time you go. The gym is a mess. It won't be that busy and there are weights everywhere. Staff just walks around talking to other members. I have no idea how this gym got 4 stars.... more
Management really need to have the cleaning people there all day because the bathrooms are always filthy more often than not. And the cleaning people need to start wiping down the benches in the bathroom because i see the most unsanitary thing always happening which is a lot of females sit their naked body on the bench.... more
1st time at this gym . Friendly staff & super clean . Large variety of equipment plus sauna & pool !. It's a good gym for the price of their membership. If you're looking for a place to have a good workout on good equipment this is it.... more
I would also leave zero stars, if possible. My credit card was stolen and therefore cancelled, and instead of cancelling my membership like a normal business, they continued to charge me--without sending any invoices or anything.... more

Tried to rent a room there, but the housing manager was a a-hole and beat around the bush too much. He needs to be replaced if you ask me.. I've been a YMCA member for a few weeks now.... more
