I'm giving this place two stars because it's affordable and has decent facilities. But the culture and environment, specifically in the evening hours, is absolutely horrendous. There's a clique of patrons that will regularly occupy equipment and hold them hostage for almost hours at a time, using it for one small set then wasting the rest of the time with idle conversation. I've been going here for a little over 3 months and I absolutely hate trying to get in a day with squats during the week because this is the typical story. The place has three platforms and a squat rack, all four were occupied and I had to patiently wait for one to open up. One was hosting a conversation that literally went on for 15 minutes without the barbell even being touched (and at one point they decided to walk off and talk to other people in the gym), another was hosting conversations that lasted 5 minutes at a time. I waited for HALF AN HOUR for one of the four stations to open up simply to stand around twiddling my thumbs. It was then after almost 45 minutes of waiting, that I decided that squats weren't on the regiment for the day. So long story short, if you thinking about joining and your only available time is in the evenings then you're better of spending your money on a membership elsewhere. This story is far to typical with the time I've spent here and I'm very much considering cancelling and finding something else.
