These lawsuits against them speaks for itself! If I could give this place a -5 stars I would! Save yourself a headache and DO NOT INVEST IN THIS GYM!
My Mom's Story: To sum things up, the owner, Paul, was unprofessional by calling me "irritating" and accused my mom of lying. My mom had a due payment of an average of $150. She walked in and paid cash to this woman named "DD." DD accepted my mom's cash and gave her a receipt with her signature, my mom's name, and the amount "PAID IN FULL." This indicated to us that my mom had paid her entire balance of $150 IN FULL.
Later, as my mom enters the gym for a workout - the front desk person told her she owed $150. My mom explained to the front desk and she was asked to show proof of receipt because they did not have a copy (really? You're a business).
On a different day, my mom walks to the front desk to show the receipt to Kimberly. Kimberly calls the accounting department and spoke to Sophia. Sophia said our receipt was not valid because it didn't have an exact dollar amount. Sophia was very unprofessional and telling my mom they couldn't accept the receipt. That same day, Sophia calls my mom and says, "We got you confused with another person with your last name. You got her receipt by mistake." Same last name, but a different first name? Wow, that's what they came up with?
Today, January 3, 2018, I walked into the gym and confronted the owner, Paul. He said that that the receipt was meant for another woman with the same first and last name as my mom. I see, so now the names have changed. No longer is it just the same last name, but it's the first name that's the same name too. Long story short, Paul called me irritating and said that my mom was lying about giving any money. DD told me the same garbage Paul was telling me. I've got this place all figured out...
MY STORY: I received a letter from the gym on January 2, 2018 stating my card was declined for a December 1, 2018, payment. I checked my available balance and it should have been okay. I called my bank and they told me that the gym had never attempted to charge my card. In person today, January 3, 2018, I told the accounting department with Sophia what my bank said and she says that the gym's bank has no way of showing proof that they had ever attempted to charge my card or not. How convenient. Long story short, they waived the $20 decline fee and only charged me the original amount. But the question is, Why did they charge me a fee when my bank shows they never attempted in the first place!?
