I went to Envision Personalized Health for some time to get my eyebrows done. About 9 months ago my esthetician messed up on my wax, my brows were lopsided. She said my next wax was free and suggested that I use Rogaine to regrow the part of my eyebrow that she over waxed. She also said my next wax and tint would be free.
I'm naturally blond so I didn't have my brows tinted since my natural brows are sort of invisible. It helped play down the lopsidedness. I applied Rogaine twice a day for 9 months (NINE MONTHS) and had achieved a little growth. I emailed the same esthetician who did my previous wax since she said my next wax would be free. I told her I had been applying Rogaine and thought I might have enough new growth to get tinted. I made an appointment and went in.
What happens next?
1. She shows up late.
2. SHE WAXES OFF ALL THE NEW GROWTH! I almost cried but I just wanted to get out of there.
3. She tries to adjust my other brow to make them even. Only that makes things even worse. My eyebrows are now seriously lopsided.
4. She suggests I buy makeup to even them out! Yes, she just got done waxing me and suggests that I buy makeup to cover up her mistake.
5. At the end of the appointment she proceeds to charge me $37 for the service. I know, I should have refused but I just wanted to get out of there. Just to give you an idea of how uneven they are, my best friend saw my brows she asked if I did them myself.
6. Over email I requested a refund for my last two appointments and she sends me a check for $24. That doesn't even cover one. Apparently along with being terrible at eyebrow waxing she also can't do math. (Details on this are below.)
I had planned to just take the money and be done with them (I wasn't going to leave a review) but, then the check came today for two eyebrow waxes at $12 each the total check is for $24?!?!? I was charged $37 for my last appointment and I'm guessing the one before that cost about the same. I looked at their website and it says a brow wax costs $17. They have literally added insult to injury. It was like a slap in the face, "sorry we've permanently damaged your face, "here's $24 for your trouble." Even if they were trying to be jerks and only refund the wax and not the tint (the tint that only accentuates the mess they made) they didn't even get the math right on that since their website says they charge $17 for a brow wax. Should I even mention here that most of the products to regorw eyebrows cost about $50 for a 30 day supply and most take 3 months to show results. I'm looking at a $150 bill just to start. At the end of the day all of this is going to end up costing me a nice chunk of money to try and fix. The scariest part for me is that my eyebrows might not come back.
Avoid this place at all costs.
