I am a Outrigger Canoe paddler and I have been paddling for over 17 years. I have always cross-trained outside of the canoe. I have done lots of different types of weight training, cardio, circuit, spin, Etc. This workout to me is so unique because it incorporates my sport into my strength and cross training, the guys at the fit lab understand the Dynamics of paddling which most personal trainers do not. I have had several personal trainers and you tell them about what you want but they don't get it unless they do it. So this is a whole new Avenue for me and everyday that I am there I get to work on my fitness level, my strength, and my stroke technique. I not only can watch myself on a ERG that is set up for Outrigger paddling someone else is watching me too. The crazy thing is you always think you're doing something a certain way because in our minds we know what we should be doing but our bodies aren't always doing it. This gives me an opportunity to actually watch myself be critiqued, learn and have fun all the same time. Thanks Red and Sean!
