Thanks to our cousin, my sister and I finally tried a free personal training session with Silvia at Vai Fitness. We thought we wouldn't have time and that it just wouldn't happen because of cost and time, etc.. Well let me tell you, after meeting Silvia and half way into our free trial workout session, I was giving my sister the look.. the look of "we have to find a way to make this work and come here" and coincidentally so was my sister. We are in our 4th week of personal training with Silvia and we love it. We also take her Pilates & HIIT classes in addition to the personal training we do. Silvia is an awesome & caring trainer, she takes the time to customize our workouts each time and our nutrition plan and checks in with us almost daily to keep us accountable. She is helping us understand sustainability and the importance of nutrition and fitness and teaching us how to balance it all out everyday. Silvia & her team are so knowledgeable in fitness and nutrition. They teach you the proper techniques when doing a workout and help you engage specific body parts, muscles, your core, etc.. After 3 weeks of training with Silvia, I was able to conquer the backside of Cowles Mountain without stopping, maintaining my breathing, and making it to the top in my fastest time ever... I couldn't recommend Silvia and her team at Vai Fitness enough. Vai Fitness was the best health choice my sister and I made.
I have been taking both Pilates mat & reformer classes with Silvia at Vai Fitness for about 8 years and definitely can say the benefits are real: improved flexibility, joint mobility and muscle elasticity better strength & balance. Silvia is extremely attentive to her clients and will work with you to achieve your goals and is very flexible with the workouts. One of the things I like most about her classes is that she does a great job at keeping things fun and interesting by changing up the classes all the time. She has a lot of knowledge of nutrition and all types of training including body transformation & specialty training such as for triathlons or marathons. I highly recommend Vai Fitness.
For Mat Pilates (and Reformer) this is the best! Our trainer, Silvia, has years of experience and solid background, so the classes are structured to meet each student's need, for muscle toning and strength, as well as rehabilitation. Posture improvement and balance are added benefits. The atmosphere is welcoming and encouraging, for beginners as well as long-term students. Having such a studio downtown, with easy parking, is a real asset.
Silvia is phenomenal! Her and her trainers do a fantastic job working with everyone on their goals. Their pilates classes are fun and great.
