Pros : Staff are very friendly and accommodating, Rob helped me set-up a new member on my account, Melissa was kind of enough to help with the transfer of a membership from Georgia to California and I had a personal training session with Mike who was awesome and showed me a lot of great stuff. Also love Roy from the shake place!
Cons: Unfortunately the gym is a little dated, there is carpet in the locker rooms which seems unsanitary. The pool has been closed since I've been attending (3-4 months) and the sauna was falling apart up until recently, then it got a half remodel.
Great people, Good value, would recommend
Definitely a must stop by for the fit crews from around. Our first stop in, everyone was very kind and helpful. The facilities were clean and the locals were very nice. I really loved the atmosphere, all the art, and music. Our sign up was smooth and courteous, we even felt like friends after just one meet and greet. Theres lots of equipment so I cant imagine that you'd have to wait for anything and theres several studios. Thank you La Fitness for the warm welcome and yes I would highly recommend these good people.
First time with this gym, but the place looks great and friendly staff. Definitely a great place to train and get your sweat on. It's in a good location. Near the freeway and around food area. Check them out!
I love this gym! So clean and spacious. Andrew and Brandon are great. If you need any help go to them. Next gym you sign up at is this gym.

Always very crowded and hot, but still an alright gym. After going to several other gyms, I have found that LA fitness is very.. eh. I've been to a lot of LA fitnesses and I have found that the staff isn't very friendly, and the equipment is a bit dated at most of them. The classes displayed on the app aren't always right either.

Club need an renovation for the price I'm paying with the master training $300 per month not including the monthly membership. Let alone being treated like garbage by the new so-called general manager. Who gave me his fake name. I signed my coworker up for the 14 days guest pass with my VIP account but that was not honored and it was only for 5 days. Instead of coming up with a solution for me, the general manager threw his title at my face and talked down on me. I do not recommend going to this club and I will cancel my family membership from today.

good and clean gym, but alot of stuffs are stolen here. Just be very careful in the locker room. There are no camera in the locker, so alot of people got their lock broken into and lost wallet/credit card.
Great gym! Has plenty of space and lots of great equipment! I really liked this gym. We were just passing through town and we were super happy with our experience here.

Gym has plenty of equipment and a smoothly bar that can compare to nothing when it comes to price and quality! However, during the weekdaya during peak hours, it can be pretty hard to get a bench to start your workout, I do appreciate thw cuatomer service as it is fairly good compared to other LA fitnesses i have been to in San Diego

The best thing that any gym owner or management can do is open the gym on time get the music on make sure there's hand soap and paper towels in the bathroom maintain your equipment and then leave the members alone. Unless, someone is going to hurt themselves with the way that they're doing something. Other than that very happy with the gym and the quality of equipment and the professionalism of the staff.

Pros: Not overcrowded for am workouts, people are nice, basketball and racquetball courts and equipment is well maintained. Also, plenty of parking and near food venues and a wlamart.
Cons: pool area and men's locker room need maintenance badly
This is a tough one because I like the gym and most areas are maintained very well. However, the pool area and showers are plagued with issues from towel hooks coming off the wall to water damaged walls that no one seems to notice. If you do not use those facilities this place is easily a 4 star gym.
The staff is a hit or miss. The employees will greet you at the entrance, but doesn't seem genuine. However, enter the employees cleaning the workout floor. These guys are extremely nice and acknowledge you with a smile or a "how are you" and actually wait long enough for you to respond.
Really wanted to go up to at least 4 stars but those issues in the back could turn into real health issues.
So far I've been treated very politely. I'm in early so there's always a machine available. I see all the negative reviews yet I'm not letting them influence my view. I'll make my own conclusions. Anyway clean friendly environment so far.
New gym after they closed San Marcos. Racquet ball courts are better, but locker room is a little cramped. Not happy about the extended drive from home.
The good:
3 squat racks
Lots of dumbbells and benches
4 bench presses
2 incline benches
4 stair masters
3 smith machines (if that's a plus for you?)
Plenty of cardio equipment on the second floor
The bad:
Flat sided plates instead of rounded plates
Broken lockers in the locker room
Disgusting showers
Broken shower heads in the showers
Overall this is gym has not seen a facelift since the 90s.

Lockers were dirty, dumbbell area has tons of dust and rust areas were you can see it has not been cleaned in a while, some equipment were a little banged up, however in working condition which is the only thing that matters and sauna also needs some cleaning and remodeling. Lockers are small can barely fit a regular gym bag, so if you bring some additional clothes have some fun time jamming it in the locker..

Unlike so many other LA Fitness clubs, this one is better maintained and less worn.
I wish the change the equipment, rusty, very old and they always make noises. I'm thinking changing over to 24 hour fitness, a little more expensive
But better hours, locations and equipment.

This location is busy and smells like it's members are getting a good workout... Not a bad smell, but it's what you should expect from a gym.
The equipment is kept up; the staff is friendly; and I usually get a good workout in.
Its never so crowded that i have to wait for an eliptical machine. The only gripe i have is that there is never any hot water for showers early in the morning.
Staff is always great and helpful. Everything is maintained, I've never ran into a problem where equipment was broken and the individuals who go are friendly or mind their business. Don't see all the gym shaming going on which can be a plus for some.
Love them! It's a pretty busy location but they have an awesome crew and I love the kids club. They are so good with my son.
