The staff and members we met were super friendly, welcoming and accommodating.
The rates are very reasonable and a great deal.
The facility has a lot of character and is clean and organized.
I'll definitely return and recommend PK Athletics to anyone visiting SD.
This is a solid facility with fantastic coaching and superior programming. I felt very welcomed from the first few steps inside. The cf classes are very fluid because of the attentive coaching.
The effort and time provided to make my friend/cf first timer feel included, welcomed, and proud of his output was amazing to watch. Strongly recommend everyone try the infamous "warm-up" wod.
Had a chance to stop in and do a workout with one of the members I know. Had a great experience. Owners were very inviting and knowledgeable. Work out was exactly what I needed. Would highly recommend this box to anyone visiting as well as local looking for a quality CrossFit experience. Thanks again guy's!!
The owners had years of Crossfit coaching and management experience on the East Coast and overseas before making the jump to the West Coast to open up Power Keg. Their combined experience speaks volumes for their current clients and the potential client(s) reading this review. I attended an afternoon class, in which my form got sloppy a tad bit towards the end of the rep scheme. The coach noticed and corrected me without sharp criticism. The potential clients reading this review will hopefully one day walk through the doors at Power Keg and receive great programming to achieve fitness goals (at any level). Also, this is a Veteran owned business. Thank you kind gentlemen! 'Murica
Top notch crossfit experience! I can not say enough about the quality of the coaches and the people that are part of this gym community. Everyone is highly enthusiastic, positive, and motivating. I would never get the same workout by myself; I am constantly pushed to my limits in every class which is awesome! I highly recommend joining PKA!

I was visiting San Diego for work and wanted to drop in to a CrossFit Gym while I was there. I had a great experience at Power Keg Athletics. The staff, coaches and regular members were super welcoming. They gym itself was very clean and they had a lot of great equipment. I was able to get a good/fun work out in and the coach did an outstanding job. I look forward to going back next time I'm in town.
Great experience. I stopped in here twice while I was in the area for a conference. Got coached by Manny. Extremely cool people. Programming is intense but I felt really supported. Good vibes all around.
