Was 5 now 4. It's hard being a great gym, but I have been to them and I miss them very much. Won't miss this one as much. Maxx, my trainer, is a major reason the 4th star stays and doesn't go to 3. How you treat your customer and client is EVERYTHING, especially in small business.
Excellent facilities, but what really makes this place awesome is the staff! They are all so friendly, helpful, and really keep me motivated.
La Jolla Sports Club is on point and has everything you'd ever need in a gym. Super friendly trainers, clean and fresh equipment, fantastic group classes. Plus, I've met the owners and they genuinely care about their customers which is great to see! Just like nail salons, LJ Village is not short on gyms, yoga studios, cycling studios... the list could go on, but LJSC is all you'll ever need!
I have only been here a couple times, but that's all I need....VERY IMPRESSIVE! This place is a DREAM to train(workout, exercise) at. They spared no expense on equipment, and it shows. If you're experienced in the industry you will quickly appreciate the detail that went into this club. The amenities were extremely impressive as well: the class schedule is stacked, clean kids club, extremely impressive locker rooms with steam room and sauna, towels(bath and hand sizes)- they even have chilled towels in the locker room! Front desk staff, their first impression, was spot on. They are welcoming, polite, and professional. I can't tell you how important that is! Other team members super friendly as well. The trainers are educated, which you can quickly see in the way they train- I also can't stress how important that is to get right- La Jolla Sports Club is doing a lot of things right! If you're a long time resident of La Jolla/ San Diego, or are just visiting for business/vacation, go catch a workout here, you will be impressed!

On holiday . We like to work out a little and tried several fitness/gym senters around LA. This is by far the best . Not only the place it self but friendly and easy registration !! Best !

I am surprised that they have a really nice program on HIIT. This is a new trend so I am really happy to have this class. Thank you!
My wife and I love this place. They are very friendly to military and offer really reasonable rates when you consider all the gym offers (proximity to town, free parking, great gym with space, social events, 80+ free classes a week and amenities).
Everyone in the gym seems to love be being a member (multiple people stopped us on our tour and told us to join). Brett and Kira (the owners) are always around and could not be friendlier. I think they are a big reason for a great culture at the club.
When you walk into the La Jolla Sports Club, you are always greeted by at least one of the gym staff behind the desk. The atmosphere is clean, friendly, and people are willing to help you if you need it.
My personal trainer, Carl I., works with me for an hour every other week. He gives me exercises which will help how I walk and how to build up strength in my right arm and core. Every time I finish doing exercise, whether taking a class or working with Carl, my muscles afterwards will feel it.
Regular towels are supplied by the gym, as well as refrigerated ones if you become sweaty or are too hot. Cold drinking water is also provided. After finishing exercise, you can even take a hot shower. The gym supplies the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and finally lotion. What more can you ask for?
This is the best gym I have ever been to. The staff was very accommodating, and their classes are excellent. They have a very large option of classes which is nice if you can't make one on time. All of the trainers are very friendly and want to help out.
I left due to a long-term injury and because my apartment complex has a new gym. But I do see myself starting a new membership in the future!

We were traveling from out of town and couldn't have found a better place to work out. The owners are so approachable and kind.
