This is a no frills gym that has absolutely everything you need for functional strength training. It's all of the best equipment with with none of the BS. Great environment. Great people.

Cool gym with a good atmosphere and what you need of weights and equipment. Three squat stands, and dumbbells up to 130lb :) The owner seems to know his stuff!

I've lived and trained all over the country and there is no place like The Yard. Troll Subin is by far the best trainer of athletes in the country. The atmosphere is serious, the equipment is state-of-the-art and Troll genuinely cares about every single person in that gym; pro athlete, young kid or average joe in the facility. Plus, the beach is right across the street. Nothing more complete.
If you're in the southbay area you need to check out The Yard in Hermosa Beach. The facility is all you need to get a great workout in and there's never a crowded moment. After your workout you're steps from the sand to jump in the ocean and cool off.
Troll is the owner and he's the best in the business! Knows what he's talking about and will help you out with anything you need. If you're looking for a big gym with crowded equipment don't bother coming. This is a place where you get in and get out , no distractions.
