Inshape coffee location by far is the best location I ever been to. front desk customer service and kids care. Staff members a really pleasant to see them around. My kids love the kid care the members there are so joyful and playful all the staff members in there rock......
I liked this gym, staff and it,s cleanliness and still I do .I carry my own hand towel no exception due to my own principals. This time I forgot it home. I asked the guy for towel from the gym front desk. He treated me as if the request for towel is big deal!! He gave me one by asking the questions such as are you on payment plan charge on towel. Well to this point is ok. He did his job. But the attitude and investigating if I have account for receiving the towel was too much for me as a one who is frequent client. My expectation was higher from this gym before. By the way just after receiving the towel, I returned it to receptionist intact.

I love In Shape. The staff is friendly as soon as you walk in the door. They are always helpful if you have any questions. The gym and locker rooms are always clean! They have an amazing list of classes to choose from, day care, and two swimming pools! In Shape is more than just a gym, its a fitness center!
This gym is on par with what the high quality that Inshape offers, however it seems that there's not much about this gym that sets it apart above and beyond other clubs. The classes here and their instructors are my favorite part. They know their classes, are enthusiastic to coach, and the classes are fun to attend. However, unless there is a class I'm going to, I try to avoid this location. The equipment is becoming dated and sometimes not in the best shape. On one of the assisted weight machines there were dust and cobwebs. It's also warmer in this gym than in some of the other locations. Lastly, parking can be hard to come by around 5p-- definitely just because a lot of people go after work. There seems to be plenty of room in the gym for all the people, just not enough spaces for all of the cars. It's still a nice gym, the staff is friendly and it is better than other gyms I've been to, however there is room for improvement.
This place is better than any other gyms in Bakersfield. They need to lower their prices though. The Diamond on Coffee is not worth the extra money they are charging. They don't have a water fountain in the pool area or lockers rooms. You have to walk in the weight room area just to get a drink if your swimming or in the locker room. The separated sauna and steam room they have in the locker rooms is not good at all. The steam room is always not working. The sauna and steam rooms should be conveniently located in the swimming area and available for male and female. And mostly 90% of the people that go swimming or get in the hot tub do not rinse themselves. There are no signs easily readable for customers to see. And no one enforces it. I see dirty sweaty people getting in the pool with no regard for others everyday all the time. The one on Calloway (gold) doesnt have any pool, hot tub, sauna, or steam room. They purposely did that so people from Rosedale area are obligated to pay extra for the Diamond if they want water. Even though all other gold gyms in Bakersfield have water. So I have to drive extra far and use extra gas just to go to a gold that has water. The Gold on Oswell and the Gold on California are old run down buildings that shouldnt of been turned into gyms. One important thing. The Plantinum have complimentary mouthwash and body wash, shampoo, and conditioner but sometimes you will find other chemicals or bodily fluids that have been added by other customers. I would not advise the use of those products and I would recommend you bring your own if you plan on showering after your workout. One more thing. The water fountains they do have in the weight area do not have water bottle spouts like all the new water fountains are supposed to have. This place is not,worth $40 a month at all!!

I absolutely love this gym. The staff is so wonderful and friendly. I always feel like I'm checking in with a friend when I step in the front doors. The trainers are equally amazing and work with you to reach goals, push past mental barriers, encourage you, and educate you so that you can really build on what you learn and feel sufficient to keep going in your own. The classes always have wonderful trainers who energize, educate, and encourage you (even if you don't feel longer you're doing as well as others in the class)! The location is beautiful and clean, but it's the wonderful staff that keep me coming back and that keep me talking about this gym. I highly recommend it!

I have had plenty of gym memberships over the years but this gym, while not quite perfect, is one of the best. I spent three times as much at a gym in southern oregon and it was not as nice as this one. I used to be about, just give me iron to move and a little cardio and I'm good. Getting older and now the little extras this place has puts it over the top.

I have been a inshape member for years and years and I love this place! I come in and play racket ball almost everyday. Every employee here is very helpful and welcoming... one that stands out to me is Andrea at the front desk! She is always engaging with me and my racket ball buddies and always greets us with a warm welcome. One of the main reasons I still come to this club is because of the staff.

Great gym here got lots of nice equipment.
Best gym I've ever been to. Lost 18 lbs. over a year and a half span. I gave it a 4 star because of how the training management was. At times my trainer didn't show and recieved a phone call after another trainer told me that he would show up a few times. Try a Yoga or Body Pump class if you can. But overall one of my favorite gyms in Bakersfield...
Great place, up beat environment and everyone is helpful. I love the classes they offer, the gym is clean, the steam room a perk I enjoy after a workout.

Location not to busy not 24 hours like white lane. 2 pools 1 indoor and 1 out door. Racquetball courts and close to other businesses
