Was nice just closed unexpectedly.
This location of BLAST was most uncooperative in assisting me to cancel my membership...It literally took me over 1 year... I finally, was able to reach an excutive, with the firm in texas. Who was able to assist me in canceling my membership...
The experience was so disturbing that now, I avoid Hawley Rd, it's like PTSD. I choose alternate routes just to avoid the flash backs. It was seriously other worldly....
The management of the West Allis, Wi. Location was at the time totally "Looking Good" but clueless. Perhaps alittle less ROIDS would clear up the executive functioning issues...Please thumbs up if You like this review

The place was ok.... there is a huge pool room with an empty pool.... I was very disappointed as swimming is one of my favourite exercises. The other rooms are not bad, but only 2 stand up tanning booths is not enough to want to pay extra membership when you have to wait a really long time to even use what you're paying for

I was so pleased to be able to pay for my membership up front without having to worry about any overcharges or having to cancel. I have benn using the gym at least once a week for 6 months. I have always been greeted by a friendly staff member at the front desk. I have enjoyed working out with Betsy, always on time and professional and pushes me just enough! I honestly have never gone in locker room , but the gym itself is clean enough and although the carpet may be worn, it isn't bothersome. I believe Blast is a true value.

Not a good business. I signed up for a 12 month contract and got slapped with a $49 "annual fee" on the 12 month with no warning. I have been trying to cancel my membership which has been a nightmare as well. First called spoke to someone who sad I needed to cancel in person. Did that they had me fill out a form and email it to ABC financial where the payments are taken out they reply telling me they have nothing to do with it. Went back to blast and had to email yet another request to cancel my membership. Now it's been days and nothing, called them back and I keep getting the run around trying to speak with a manager to get an answer. Why do I have to beg to leave your gym.!?! Absolutely ridiculous!

Well I've been going there for awhile now. There is a few good staff members....then there are the ones on their phones sometimes hiding or trying not to work workers.
The places could be more clean and THERE IS NO HAND SANITIZERS ANYWHERE! Clearly that bothers me. Because of the questionable cleanliness, I change at home.
There used to be a pool....now its an eyesore storage area.
The machines.....so they got a bunch new cardio machines like a yr ago. They have monitors that will never be on :/
They also are frequently broke for like MONTHS.
I'm being generous with a 3 but I go and get what I need done and they are cheap. I guess I get what I pay for.

You can definitely notice the difference in the cleanliness here. You can actually smell cleansers! Bulbs that had burned out have been replaced and things are getting fixed quicker. Happy to see the changes.
I've been going to Blast for a few years now and I have never had a bad experience. It's a great gym with two floors, lots of different equipment and even a track for running. They also have all types of group exercise classes with really great instructors. The membership prices are very reasonable, the staff is always helpful and the members are great. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to join a gym!
The new manager has made MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS in the last month. The lights have all been fixed. The air conditioning is working better. Machines are repaired more quickly. The women's locker room and showers are clean. They listen to the members. The workout area is kept in order and clean. They care about us!
Some awesome stuff being done with this place! Major improvements being made. Has an OFF THE CHAIN personal training program. Staff are attentive and friendly. Reasonable membership pricing. Highly recommend for anyone and everyone to come check it out!!! :)
Wow! I'm lost for words. This place has changed in a major way...... Great customer service, clean, lots of equipment, and to top it off, they have a personal training department that really cares about your fitness goals. If your looking to join a gym I recommend BLAST FITNESS!!
