I've been training at Dave Strasser freestyle gym now 9 years. If you want to become the best You. Weather that is going to be the best you as a fighter best physical shape the best you can be mentally it doesn't have to be just being a fighter in MMA there's many reasons why people come to MMA gyms it teaches you more than just to fight that's just a small part of it MMA is a lifestyle. You need to be trained by the Best if you want to be the best and I mean this 100% if you're looking to become an MMA fighter Dave Strasser is a legend in UFC he was one of Ben Rothwell first coaches and has over 5 fighters make it into the UFC from his training if you dedicate yourself it will show he has a tools you have to use them it just depends how bad you want it I can guarantee you he will get you there if you listen and you push yourself that goes just the same for people who come to the gym to want to lose weight feel physically fit better it's all about dedication. Dave Strasser knows exactly what you need to get to where you want to be an individual basis is amazing I've yet to meet anyone think anything less of him he knows what he's doing when it comes to being a trainer and he knows what he's doing when he was a fighter he's humble it's been a blessing to meet Dave Strasser he's changed my life money aways I highly recommend both his gyms to go to. Jose Vega is his lead teacher/trainer in the waukegan, Illnois South Gym.

Hands down, this is the best Mixed Martial Arts Academy in the Midwest. UFC Veteran Dave Strasser is the most well-rounded trainer in the US (as well as best promoter). His classes are intense and you learn a lot. He has a ton of professional fighters that all attend class everyday and don't have egos. Everyone is willing to help you learn and are very serious. They go there to train hard. It's very motivating. They also run some of the most extreme MMA events (Freestyle Combat Challenge) in the area.

Dave Strasser is a well round instructor, he has a black belt in karate, studied judo in japan for many years, traveled around the world doing jiujutsu and has excellent stand up. He's produced 2 students that made it on the ultimate fighter tv show, 4 students straight to the ufc, 3 to the wec, 1 in bellator. He also has had several students from japan, brazil and sent several students to Russia, Poland, Switzerland, and costa rica. The classes are fun but intense. If you are looking to become a fighter or just looking for a good workout, this is the place to be.

I have researched and evaluated, and this is unquestionably where the search comes to a halt. If you're looking for bunnies, kitties and glitter, keep looking.
