The best climbing gym around. Creative climbs especially in the bouldering area. Ratings are slightly underrated but for the most part dead on. Highly recommend

We recently took a canyoneering class from Tanner. He is great! He was very patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. We highly recommend him as an instructor! A few pointers for those taking this class; before your class: Fill out Quarry waivers, go to YOUTUBE and practice a few knots, (double fisherman's knot, overhand follow through, figure 8 follow through, stopper knot), get your harness on before the class starts. Be sure to come a few minutes early the first class. The class is taught where people are climbing so its best to schedule a class time when the gym is not busy.

This gym is on the smaller side but it has a local, hidden gem feel to it. Even for its size there are constantly new routes to be climbed. All the employees are personable and helpful. Love climbing here!

Guys I don't write reviews, ever. But I LOVE the Quarry. I recently moved out of Utah and no longer climb at the Quarry, but realize now how spoiled I was. The staff at the Quarry are beyond friendly and helpful They are always willing to give tips and pointers. The setters do an amazing job and I feel like they are really consistent with their ratings. The routes make you improve your technique, not just reach higher or further apart and more difficult routes doesn't just mean fewer handholds and an easier route doesn't mean more handholds. The routes make you think about your climb and then enjoy your climb, whether an easy warm up or a difficult puzzle. I also love the bouldering walls. The routes are changed often and I never ran out of challenges while climbing, even in a gym that is smaller than some others (I climbed almost daily). If you are even considering getting a membership here or taking classes or just going once, I HIGHLY Recommend the Quarry,

Had a fun time climbing. Lots of different routes of various skill levels.

Very fun! My Husband and I had to discontinue our membership due to money constraints but it was one of the harder things we had to let go! We loved climbing and tried to go 2 or 3 times a week. The evenings can get a little hectic, but we still loved it and the atmosphere was always encouraging and friendly. Definitely would reccomend!

This place is a lot of fun to climb. Not as large as some of the gyms in the area, but the mom-and-pop-shop feel of it makes up for it. The staff are all nice. The setters are all good at what they do. And overall, the experience is very good.

To be honest, The quarry is a really nice place to climb! They are smaller compared to other gyms, but the staff are awesome, people are down to earth and most importantly, the climbing is great. The holds are NOT nearly as nasty or greasy as I've seen in a lot of other gyms. They also offer a lot of fun technical climbing since the routes aren't as long. Overall, I would recommend if you're looking for a good fun place this could be it! It's also not bad as far as pricing goes compared to other places.

I love climbing at the Quarry! Willis and others are very helpful and friendly. Plus, I love all of the yoga nights 'nd such. I'm not always able to climb much though as the price for admission/membership is quite pricey.

I've been climging here for many many years. I have always found it to be a welcoming friendly location. I have always liked the canyon feel to the main climbing walls. The routes on these walls are rotated frequently enough to provide new challenges and appeal to all levels of climbers from beginners to experts. Same goes for the bouldering section on the second floor. I've always like the "wall on" routes that are placed next to the windows on the front main wall. If you are into lead climbing they have plenty of options for that as well.

Started my entire experience of rock climbing at the Quarry, and it's been hard to deviate anywhere else. Yes, it is a smaller gym, but I actually LOVE that. It makes it so much more friendly and helpful than other gyms in Utah and you can even make friends from coming here regularly. And I love that despite the size, the quarry is still able to fit in all three tyes of gym climbing, for whatever your in the mood for. Not to mention all the discounts and member bonuses. The quarry rocks!

Great local climbing gym with friendly staff and fun routes for all climbing levels. Membership gives a friend free entry every Friday.

Love the quarry. I have been coming to this gym for a few years now and the route setting never disappoints. It is a small gym but the routes make up for that. I visited my old gym in San Francisco during the holidays and was surprised that their routes felt soft after having climbed at the quarry for all this time. Keep it up guys!!

Had a great time with my family Friday night! Planning to go back tonight for their family night special! Jacob was awesome with the kids and helped me and my wife learn the belay. They were even polite when our kids had no shoes on and they asked us to put them on. 5/5. We used the Pocket Points and were able to get buy one get one. My wife forgot her purse and the staff gave my wife a call within 5 minutes after I left.

Polite, friendly, good environment. I'd love to see some expanding as the gym was a little crowded.

This place is the climbing gym for Utah Valley. It is not the biggest but it does have great staff and a constant rotation of setting new climbs. Look for great deals (I.e free gear rental, 2 for 1, etc.) in local deal guides and online. Great date night or mutual activity. There is stuff to climb for everyone.

The Quarry is a great hometown climbing gym. The small staff is very friendly and demonstrates a sincere desire to be helpful. This is great if you're there Tuesday through Thursday, but if you come on Monday, Friday or Saturday nights, expect to wait a bit as they work with all the other customers in front of you.
These three evenings are also the days where you'll come to realize just how limited the floor space is. Every other day, you'll have enough room to stretch out and enjoy the diverse climbs, but on the crowded nights, expect to belay shoulder-to-shoulder with everyone around you. While this isn't bad with experienced climbers, you'll be lucky to avoid the herds of inexperienced college students to utilize the gym for date nights.
Overall, the gym is great. Each rope has a series of climbs that range from beginner to experienced, offering something for everyone. Again, just be careful of the crowded nights and you'll have a great time.

Great stuff. Almost died. But didn't

I went to the gym for about a year and then had to cancel because I was moving. I was planning on going back when I moved back to Provo but not anymore. I was busy getting ready to move and forgot to cancel my membership on the 10th but it's actually billed at the 15th so I went in to cancel before then but they said I was a few days late so they were still going to bill me. I sent an email to the owner explaining the situation. Got a very short response essentially saying "too bad." More than that fact that they weren't helpful it was just a really bad experience with poor customer service. Had poor customer service before hand when going with friends as well. Also not the biggest or nicest gym in Utah but if you live in Provo you're kinda stuck with it. So pretty much just remember everything they told you when you signed up no matter how long you've been going because they won't help you.

Awesome staff. Super clean. Great bouldering.

My husband and I did the explore climbing class as my birthday gift. Our instructor was amazing. We loved it enough that we signed up for a membership. Love that we can get friends in for free on Fridays and once a month any day we want. They're constantly building new routes. Quality, clean gym.
