An amazing place to be. Modern upbeat design layout of the gym, new machines, weights, friendly staff.
Included tanning, red light therapy and water massage machines.
Greatly impressed over previous gym.
This poor facility shows major signs of neglect and water damage. I came to this location to try it out, and the amount of repairs and upkeep this place needs was very apparent. The ceiling is covered in water damage throughout the entire facility. I hope this location can get some help soon!

I have been going to this location ever since it was Gold's Gym. I live less than half a mile from the American Fork location, but this is my go to. I am a bit sad it is closing down, but I am sure the one on 1600 north will be awesome. I love the atmosphere at this gym because the employees and patrons are great. It feels like a family. I have been to most VASA locations and this one is the clear favorite of mine. Keep up the good work and I hope it translates to the new gym.
Pretty standard Vasa. Had no problems. Pretty clean. Sauna wasn't nearly hot enough.
800 N Vasa has excellent customer service. Jamie at their supplement bar has done an awesome job for years. Sam in sales always makes a point to call me by name and extend a friendly welcome. Love being part of this group!
Vasa is great! Ask for Jordan if you need a really great and attentive trainer. Clean and very well maintained.
[Updated - see below] Pool is constantly closed. Bathrooms and showers are DISGUSTING, and half of the men's showers are even closed.
2 months later: The pool has yet to be closed a single time in my experience since writing the original review. They are also actively repairing the men's showers. I commend their effort to improve. The locker rooms still need work however.

Be careful if you ever give them any of your information. They like to steal your money and not even give you any benefits. My husband and I were robbed of money by this institution and we have never even had a gym membership. We have never set foot in one of their gyms, but they created fake accounts and are saying we owe them money. I do not recommend this institution at all. Be careful to not give them your information.

I have only been a member of the 800 North Orem location for a short time, however, I can say that I am glad that I joined. The staff is friendly, the patrons are respectful, the equipment and facility is clean, and there is a good energy and tone. Everyone that I have observed thus far is enthusiastically training, some socialization but not the type that disrupts others. I left Planet Fitness due to the lack of energy, sure no one was "judging" you, but you could hear a pin drop, and that zaps motivation. I hesitate to go a full five stars as again I have only been a member here for a short time. I have recommended that my wife join, so there is your endorsement.

Unfortunately, now, with their new additions, it's almost unworkable. They added a HUGE personal training area. Normally, I wouldn't even remotely be bothered by this, but the placement of the blocked-off personal training area is almost a joke. A huge amount of space is now unusable in the already crowded bench area.
I wish that VASA would have put more thought into this decision. Maybe, instead of putting a huge personal training square in an already small and overpopulated area, they could have gotten rid of repeat/underused machines and shifted everything over.
Similarly, there is only one deadlifting area and two training cages. I wish they would have put priority on adding more equipment that would be useful for the vast majority of its customers.
Great place and great environment. Unfortunately there is not a ton of room, and they keep adding more stuff that is not accessible to everyone unless you pay for a trainer. They could also use another squat rack. And the men's showers could use some serious upgrading. That is my biggest complaint, the tiles on the floor are missing and the showers stink pretty bad.
But nice people, both the lifters and the employees.

I was just contacted by a collection agency saying I have a balance with VASA fitness going to collection and that if not paid, they will attack my credit. They collection agent was EXTREMELY rude. He said if I did not pay an outrageous amount of money, they can attack my credit. I didn't believe it and thought it was a scam.
I called VASA fitness/Paramount Acceptance and the agent I spoke to says she has notes it was sent to collections, but no other information. I was on a month-to-month and this was back in 2015. I had called to cancel and was told it was done. They have not collected any money since that time, however, this person at VASA/Paramount Acceptance said I also had to send in a signed letter of cancellation otherwise the account remains active. Apparently, it did stay active all this time and 3 years later, I now get contacted by a collections agency. I have nobody I can talk to. VASA says they don't even have my account info since it has been sent to collections. Collections doesn't have my info as they are simply there to just collect a debt. I had done nothing wrong, thought I did everything correct to cancel, and literally have not heard from ANYONE until 3 years later.
The Manager Ryan has awful customer service. My husband was scheduled for the free fitness consultation but the trainer text him before the appointment to reschedule because of a scheduling conflict. Ryan obviously has no idea what happens at his gym because he text my husband to call him out for being "flaky" and "bailing on them" even though the personal trainer has rescheduled personally with my husband. After my husband copied the text message from the personal trainer showing they had rescheduled and he didn't "flake", Ryan didn't even respond. Instead some other employee text my husband saying that it was his boss who sent that message. Completely unprofessional and rude. If I could give zero stars I would. This place needs to find a manager that is capable of quality customer service.
Love this gym! Definitely not the prettiest gym around, but the atmosphere and employees make up for it! Some of the equipment could use an upgrade, but slowly but surely corporate will get to that! If you just love working out and want a good deal on pass the North Orem location is great! Ryan, the general manager is great and always makes sure to take care of any issues that pop up!

My son went Active Military Nov. 20th. He tried to close his account in person with me. Could not do it. Was direct to their web site, then directed to an 800 number then the rep directed him back to the site. He still could not close the account. He left.
I have been Unable to close the account. Join Planet Fitness you can cancel in person.
I enjoy going to this gym in the mornings; there seem to be plenty of machines available. However, I wish the men's bathroom and showers were cleaner and in better repair. Oh, and also some of fluorescent lighting was out in the bathroom, which added to a gross aesthetic in there.
I go here for the fitness classes, I really enjoy the employees they've always been friendly and super helpful. But oh man it's always packed here! Parking is always full so have to park clear out at the end of the parking lot (which is fine) but just a heads up on that. Bathrooms are clean, fitness studio is huge and clean. Lots of equipment to choose from. I come here specifically for U-Jam class, you seriously have got to go if you haven't. It's a hip hop fitness class and it's amazing. The instructors are awesome! Good location, just always crazy busy.

Welcoming and constant motivation to do well. I enjoy the classes and the instructors. Nice to have amenities in the buildings and close but it's extra cost to do everything; additional 10 dollars here, additional 5 dollars there. Especially the charge per hour for courts or renting equipment. I wonder what I'm really paying for, the opportunity to enter the building.
I would just like to share my experience about this branch. I signed up with Ryan and I was super excited to get going to the gym. I couldn't always make it to this gym because I moved around as a student. I have been with VASA for more than a year. Due to certain circumstances I can't continue my membership and VASA is trying to stick it to me. They have a thirty day cancellation time which they won't tell you when signing up and also they have a yearly fee which also Ryan didn't mention. This could have all been avoiding if there was once ounce of honesty. I would love to hear from any body from that branch but they claim they can't do anything. I would say try and avoid VASA and use a local rec center.
The staff are really helpful and they fix equipment in a timely manner. They do their job well.
If you help pick up your weights when you're done and go they extra mile, they will reward you for it. Most people won't follow their contract, which includes picking up their weights and putting them back. Then they complain about the facility. Pick up things in the bathroom, pick up trash and clean up your messes. Everyone can help out to make it better. I would see things all over I would pick up. Is that the gyms fault? No. That's people just being lazy.
I love this Vasa location! I have been to other gyms and vasa locations but this is by far my FAVORITE!! It is clean, has great classes, friendly staff and great equipment!! If you you're not going to this gym You need to reevaluate your life choices and get here.
I love working out here because the staff is so friendly! Especially Kacey. Every time I see her at the front desk it's like a ray of sunshine before my workout! The gym might seem small at first but it's so much less busy than University.
This gym has awesome management and Kacey Savage is always ready and willing to help me with whatever I need. Thank you for keeping me motivated! This location is my favorite.
Pros: Lots of good equipment. Friendly staff. Convenient hours.
Cons: Extra "hidden" fees are kind of a joke. There's an extra $50 fee upon sign-up to ensure the prices won't go up. I think the irony is lost on them. The locker room is pretty nasty and really needs a revamp.
