A nice clean place. Very friendly service. Not too many people go especially from social distancing. I don't judge and I don't feel judged and that's how I like it. I love the place! And, it's not too incredibly expensive!
What I can go and when I do decide to go LOL great place always very friendly very clean thanks a lot J train you're my man up there preciate you
I would love to give this gym a good review however the help there is atrocious. I went as a guest and was greeted by nobody listening to 2 clients at the front desk because it seemed more important to talk about there co-workers as we stood there. Once we began to workout an employee was supposed to be cleaning machines and was too interested in her phone conversation. Not the environment I want with a new virus around. They lost a new customer. I am sure their is more than just us feel free to post your grievances here.
I love how they keep this location super clean. Black pass is the only way to go. Workout at any planet fitness, access to tanning and massage beds, and bring a friend! They have a bunch of locations nationwide and it's fun to check them out when you travel. I recently went to the downtown Boston location, that was pretty historic.
Disappointed, it looks like there is no equipment to do a simple dead lift at the Orem location. Also no cable chest fly machine. Plus no bar or equipment for pull-ups or dips that I can see. In addition, bench presses can only be done with a controlled machine that employs free weights. I guess one can get by with that, but it would be nice to have the option of the regular, basic free weights everyone is accustomed to. Perhaps they figure one can do that at a home gym. Still, it should be possible to get a workout of one's own specifications at a gym you are paying for. Also there are no chain and belt to strap weights to you while you would do dips or pull-ups. There are no weightlifting belts to support the lower back for certain exercises. Maybe this is a hygiene concern? Who knows. However, they have loads (maybe 2 dozen) of oddball machines to work the rear end, outer and inner thighs, etc. It seems this location really tries hard to cater to women, and possibly the elderly but not men so much.
This location recently underwent a week-long renovation, so I don't know what equipment was available prior to the renovation. I could grouse about having the location closed for a full week right after signing up and no gym closer than the Salt Lake Valley to use as an alternate, but I won't and that is not the topic of my review. I wonder if they omitted the equipment for exercises like dead lifts due to a fear of possible injury and lawsuit? Who knows. It's sad.
I also went there at around 9:30 pm and left around 11:15 pm, when I came to swipe my card going and coming, no one was at the counter. Although they were there in between, I guess I caught them changing shifts each time or something unknown. By contrast, 24 Hour Fitness used to have everything anyone would ever need to build their body and then some. It was great.
Update your website stating that you are closed due to construction, and it would be nice if the person at your location didn't resemble a deer in headlights when someone says your website shows your location is "open" 24 hours a day.
One of the managers from this store was there at the downtown Salt Lake branch when I cancelled my membership. I voiced that I had been ripped off and I was mad. The managers from the downtown branch were rude and didn't seem to care about me or my feelings, the Orem manager went the extra mile to try and make me feel better. Despite the fact that I wont be returning to planet fitness I would recommend this location to anybody.
When I originally signed up, I emphasized the importance of being able to cancel whenever I wanted without a problem. The staff member assured me that I would not need to worry about it since I wasn't signing a contract, only a month to month deal. About 3 months later, I'm married, moved away from that home gym and started using my husband's card. When I called to cancel, they said because it hadn't been officially 30 days of signing up, I had to travel back to the home gym or send a letter in the mail to cancel. This was not what I was originally told by the staff member when I originally signed up. Very disappointed.

Members do not respect rules which makes it difficult to use 30 minute circuit and abdominal workout rooms. STAFF DOESN'T ENFORCE RULES, so why have them???
Members "camp out" on equipment, use cell phones and do not clean equipment when finished.
VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Cancelled membership after 6 years - Looking for a new gym
I visited this gym while traveling and I have to say, the staff is much better than in most gyms. They are attentive to each guest and are extra friendly. The gym is kept clean and they have everything you need. They even made an effort to help me search for a ring I lost during my visit.

For a gym this one is fun! If you want a clean, enjoyable workout with relaxing extras this one is perfect for you! They have a on site coach that is included with the monthly fee (which is affordable without a contract),tanning, red light therapy, hydrotherapy beds and much more. Check it out!

Really cool place, super clean and well kept. The staff is friendly, and its a really chill environment. Aside from the occasional douchebagery that goes on at this place, Its an awesome place to get your sweat on. I recommend this place to all my friends

Has a great abbs circuit, over all its a good gym. I just wish they had more bar bell and bench sets. It would also be great if they had more free weights
Very friendly and accomodating staff. Nice equipment. They even had a guy going around and checking to make sure all was good with the equipment and making notes if he found issues. I was very impressed.
I love this gym! So glad I finally got a pass to this location. Never extremely crowded & everyone minds their own. Really is a judgement free zone & they don't rape your bank account.
The gym, trainers, equipment and the membership packages they offer are great! The only problem is that they close at 7:00 pm on the weekends. On the weekdays their open 24 hours.
This is a good place to go if you want some isolation in your workout. It is spacious and usually not as full in the afternoons, so you can put in headphones and just work it without distraction. Can't power lift, so I don't know if this is where to go if you want extreme workouts. This place is best as a stress reliever. Equipment is well maintained and the temperature is well regulated.

Employees here are friendly and helpful and Would give 4 stars but their Friday and Saturday hours are terrible. I use planet across the country but this is my home gym and they are busy enough to be open till at least midnight on Friday and 9pm on Saturday. Currently they close at 9pm on Friday and 7 pm on Saturday and it's always busy till close. I know there are others with this same request. Please change these hours to accommodate more of your members!
The whole concept of a lunk alarm sounds good at first. But in practice it's just too nerve wracking. You spend the whole time there wondering if you are breathing too loud or if your t shirt is riding up too high and sometimes it seems like someone gets kicked out for no reason at all. Would not say they are as inclusive as they try to be because of course all of us trying to get back into shape are going to be out of breath!
I love their judgement free zone. The people that work here are very nice and personable. I love the Hydro Bed massage and also the total body enhancement machine. I also like the little spaces where you can do workouts on different parts of your body. The treadmills bicycle machines and stair steppers are great also. I also love that you have a guest pass. You can bring a guest with you each time you come.
Has a decent number of amenities, gets pretty busy in the evenings but that should die down in a few weeks. I appreciate the environment they cultivate that it's"judgment free," machines are well maintained. They have a cross training area that I don't use but it's pretty cool. I m happy with my membership.

Planet fitness is, by far, the best gym I've ever had the opportunity to belong to. The personal training is second to none, and the staff are all very friendly and helpful. There is a theme of a judgment free environment, and they prohibit all varieties of inappropriate clothing and noise making. The equipment is safe and is always well maintained. They have sanitizer so guests can clean up after themselves. They also have a rebounding medicine ball that you can throw against a net, and the ball rebounds into your hands. If you don't catch it, it falls on your feet. Treadmills are well maintained, and there are chargers for iPods. There is upbeat music in the background. Planet fitness is incredible, and the prices are very reasonable for normal and elite memberships.
The gym is great and all and they trick you into thinking it's cheap BUT it takes and costs 5 arms and 5 legs to cancel you membership. If I would've known that I would've stayed with VASA. Canceling your membership with VASA is super easy. Which makes them better and they have more equipment.
Got a premium membership because my girlfriend wanted to start working out and it's close to her work. I've always enjoyed working out but their selection of weights and machines is so small that it takes all the fun out of exercise. They lock you into a year long contract. Just need to wait 3 more months to cancel and move to Vasa.
Arrrrgh, this is one of those "24 hour planet fitness" that isn't really open 24 hours. I can't stand that. For this they go from 5 star to 2 star. Yes, it's that important to me. They have a scale in the bathroom though, which is kinda cool.
Also, their WiFi sucks so much; only gives you data if you're standing by the lobby. Max bars but no data transfer. (And yes, I signed in I'm not an idiot). Please get better service or out the router in the center of the workout zone. I spend most of my workout waiting for YouTube videos to load at 144p :( this frustration makes it 1 star now. It's frustration when you pay $300 a year black card membership and can't even enjoy yourself because they buy crappy wifi
The only good thing about this planet fitness ess is it has a scale.
It's a good gym. It's not as intimidating as other gyms. Although I wish they had a variety of more free weight equipments like medicine balls, more kettlebell and a variety of weights.
