DO NOT GO. I should have looked at the reviews before I joined this gym.
I went to this gym for about 6 months. I enjoyed the workouts, but I had a terrible experience with management. I was specifically told by the staff member who signed me up that I could cancel my membership within the time period of my contract. When I realized the times the gym were open did not fit my schedule, I called the owner, Pete Ekstrom, to cancel. Mr. Ekstrom told me to email the 9round cancellation account. When I emailed this account to give notice, I only received a response saying my request was 'in process'. I assumed this meant the account was being canceled, and ceased going to the gym.
Three weeks later, I was charged again! When I asked for the charge to be removed, I was informed I was not allowed to cancel my contract at all. The email also said that I would be charged additional fees if I disputed the charges with my credit card. I have NEVER heard of this practice, and was told both a dispute specialist AND the billing department at corporate 9Round that this is not standard practice. I will never trust a small gym owner again.
