I've been in contact with the gym since December attempting to cancel my membership. They will not do it over the phone or by email. In February, I finally just canceled my card. Went in person to cancel and was told I had to pay the balance. I'm on a month to month contract that they refuse to allow me to cancel. Beware.

WOW WHAT A JOKE!!!!! When your membership expires , apparently they KEEP CHARGING YOU EVEN THO YOU MEMBERSHIP HAS EXPIRED!!!! and they make it almost impossible to cancel! I moved out of state and had to cancel, and just found out they have been charging me for almost 2 years since cancelling!!!!!!!!!! I am SCREAMING BECAUSE NOBODY AT THE FACILITY CARES! I have talked to numerous people and nobody can help me, and lots of other reviews say the same thing. ONLY GO HERE IF YOU WANT OVER $500 STOLEN FROM YOU!! ALL THEY ARE ARE CROOKS AND THIEVES and definitely should not be in business any more

If you like having your money stolen come here. If you like terrible business practices come here. If you like canceling your membership, but still getting charged years later, come here. There is a level of dishonesty by the management here that is frankly appalling. They will lie to you, cheat you, and steal money from you. They don't deserve to be open. I hope everybody else that they stole from gets their money back, and this gym shuts down.

Heard some bad things about this gym but decided to see if it was as bad as people say and it was not. No wait on the equipment dungeon is great for that hardcore work out and the environment is laid back. The biggest thing for me was when I came in on Thursday and the woman who made my shake was extremely personable and helpful she went out of her way to answer any questions I had and even went as far as taking extra time to look up specific answers for me and she done it with a smile on her face she greeted every person who walked into the room and provided outstanding customer service. When you visit this gym be sure to go in and get a shake from her.

I used to love coming here for years, but unfortunately had to leave the area. The place has a great selection available to folks never really having to wait for much even on the busy hours.

Best gym in Murfreesboro for people serious about training. Only one that I know of that allows chalk, which is a big deal. The atmosphere is great and the members are all knowledgeable and approachable. More than enough equipment to go around. Overall a great place to train and hang out.

This place is horrible. I agreed to a month to month for $25 per month. Something went wrong with their payment system and never ended up charging me. Without notification they turned me over to collections for 3 years at $75 per month... CRIMINALS.

Same as other reviews. They will not cancel my membership. Not sure what to do except stop payment from my bank. Just dont

*update-after threatening to have not only myself but others leave, the owner spoke to me on the phone and cancelled my membership. He stated he was the only one that is allowed to cancel memberships and didnt allow gym managers to do so but denied giving people a run-around....

This place has what ever you are looking for , it's great for people who are looking to stay in shape, for folks wanting to lose weight , or just come and hit some cardio and tan a bit .
This place also caters to power lifters , bodybuilders and strong man competitors that train here exclusively for their meets, shows , and strong man events .
Try and find another gym in the area that has all of that ...
There is none !

This gym is absolutely awful. They allow their customers to park all over the plaza, effecting the other businesses around them and do absolutely nothing about it. The people who work here act like they are clueless and have zero communication skills.

I have asked at least once a week for over 3yrs for them to put a little fan in the men`s locker room...simple request right? Not for these people. I drive 45 minutes and workout before I go to work and after showering, I sweat more getting dressed in there than I do actually working out! This is ridiculous Sean and a very simple fix!!!!

Updated review. Still charging me after my contract expired. Spoke to an employee at the gym who took my name and number and assured me that my contract would not roll over. It rolled over. When I contacted the gym there was "no record in my notes about a cancellation". No surprise. The are either intentional crooks or just incompetent. Nice gym, nice facilities, among the worst business practices in town.

Whatever you do - do not get suckered into "True Discipline" personal training at Olympus! Charles Rucker the owner is the most unscrupulous, deceitful and horrible person to work with. They pressured me into a contract that was longer than I wanted telling me that was the only way i would see results. The $300 a month I paid them is NOT what they pay their trainers. the trainers see nothing if the client doesn't show - but Charles gets paid. I recently lost my job and asked for a contract termination. The GM- James Perrigo told me they were "not in the business of taking people's money" but rather investing in their health. Well that is a pile of manure! I had 2 trainers over the course of the time I was there and the 1st not only did a horrible job and put absolutely zero thought into my workout- he was RUDE and INSULTING! The only saving grace this company had was my second trainer who was amazing. I was supposed to be given a diet plan that specific for my needs and was given a printout that I could have googled, not tailored to my body type of diet needs at all and NEVER changed. According to them I was supposed to repeat the same week for the entire 6 months....WHAT?!?!? This is not what I signed up for and definitely not what I paid for!

All this to say...DON'T GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY!!!! CHARLES RUCKER IS A SHADY HUMAN BEING WHO IS ONLY AFTER THE ALL MIGHTY DOLLAR

Needed to cancel a memebership because of an out of state move. Called the gym, very nice girl said it was no problem and that she'd take care of it. Fast forward a year and its in collections and we owe them over 500 bucks. We call the gym, this time a very disgruntled man tells us that is not how it works and we should pay our bills... stay far, far away from these cons

Rip off artists. Claim they dont accept cancellations on the phone yet have people working the phones that gladly accept your cancellation. Years later you find out you owe them 700 bucks and it's now in collections. Call them and they couldn't be mpre rude. STEER CLEAR!

Don't try and quit your membership even if they say it's cool and it's no big deal they will cancel it. They kept charging me after they told me they would cancel it because I was moving.

BELONGED FOR 8 YEARS, NOT A BAD PLACE AS LONG AS YOU NEVER WANT TO QUIT PAYING THEM MONEY. HURT MY BACK, CAN'T EXCERCISE. I'VE BEEN TO OLYMPUS, 5 TIMES TO QUIT MY MEMBERSHIP, EACH TIME THEY TOOK MY PHONE NUMBER, AND SAID THEY WOULD GIVE IT TO SEAN. ITS BEEN 7 WEEKS AND NO CALL. WENT TO BANK TO CANCEL WITHDRAW FROM ACCOUNT, FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO WISH TO LEAVE THIS AT LEAST STOPS THE BLEEDING. WAITING FOR THEM TO TAKE ME TO COURT FOR NOT RECEIVING MY MONEY. THEN I CAN SHOW MY VIDEOS OF GOING IN AND OUT AND TALKING WITH POOR YOUNG GUYS AT DESK WHO CATCH THE BS FROM US PISSED OFF MEMBERS. MY RECOMENDATION, JOIN A MONTHLY PAYMENT FACILITY, NOT A LIFE MEMBERSHIP THEY WON'T LET YOU OUT OF.

Joined Broad st location not knowing the Church st location closed. The staff member told me about Broad st renovations. Asked him if Church st was getting any renovations. He replied "No." Nothing said about it being closed. I told him I was moving, but I work near the (closed) Church st location so that'd be convenient no matter where I move. At the time I joined, I lived closer to Broad st gym. Now I live in another county. Had I known it was closed, I wouldn't have joined. Now I have to pay $100 cancellation fee.

I have been a Olympus Member since 2014. I was going to cancel but their people make the difference especially their CEO, Sean Barber. He is a people person and I wish he luck with his business endeavors in this trying economy where the competition is competitive using gimmicks to bring in new customers. Thanks Sean sometimes lifetime members are only a phone call away

This place should be reported to the Better Business Bureau for its horrible conduct as a business. The gym is old, cramped, and smells disgusting (like mold)! The gym staff is unorganized and will find any way to take your money. I cancelled a membership nearly nine months ago and they continued to charge my account and would not refund their bogus charges. The blonde female at the front desk is beyond rude to the customers!! She will great them with a standard, cold, rehearsed greeting, and if they don't acknowledge her, I personally witnessed her make several sarcastic comments under her breath!! AVOID THIS GYM AT ALL COSTS!! There is an obvious reason they've had to close their other location as well as why they have received such poor reviews!!

EDIT2: The owner finally reached out after I contacted the AG. We did not reach resolution and I am still paying out the rest of my contract(s).
EDIT: They did not respond to my Better Business Bureau request for mediation/conflict resolution after the BBB attempted to reach them 3 times within a month.

They closed the location on Church St with NO NOTICE and tell me they won't cancel the membership because I still live within 25 miles of one of their locations. They closed the location, I didn't move!
To everyone else this has happened to: contact the Better Business Bureau, the Tennessee Attorney General, and the Federal Trade Commission. Consumers have rights against deceitful business practices like this.

Continually getting worse and worse. Members for nearly 10 years. We will be switching as soon as we have time to go to a new gym. Otherwise it's been a great gym when church street was open!
