I have a great trainer Sara Hobbs. Does a fantastic job.
After staying downtown at the Kimpton Hotel I received a corporate voucher for the 24 Hour fitness, a single day pass. The manager at the Halsey location chose not to honor the pass, was incompetent and rude, harassed me about having the pass, " Where did you get this? What hotel?". She was completely unprofessional. I paid for the benefit of having the pass, I am unsatisfied with that location. I recommend you go to a diffent location or business altogether.
Been an avid gym goer for about 10 years. This 24 hour fitness is dirty and not well kept. It smells rancid. Of course a gym will smell sweaty some of the time, but I've never been to a gym that smells as consistently poor as this one. Paper towels to clean off equipment is empty half of the time. Basketballs are often flat for weeks at a time. Half of the staff seems attentive and friendly, about half are curt and rude, especially management. Membership is simply too expensive for the service provided.
Tiasha was so great !! We came in at about 10 p.m. on a Friday night and I only say that because I'm not sure if I spelled her name right or not. But she was amazing and I'm Definitely coming back here.
Somewhere in between a serious and novice gym. 24 hour fitness Hollywood has a good selection of equipment and fair level of cleanliness. But nobody enforces the the no shoes rule in the pool and sauna area, which is gross. Be prepared for that.
These guys are absolutely awesome! The gym is great and local, only a short walk from me and the whole team is nothing but help. I would recommend this gym to anyone and everyone in the area .
Nice trainers and loads of equipment, but dirty and runs out of disinfectant spray and paper towel constantly. The disinfectant spray is also oddly and inconveniently placed. They need true, blue janitors because it is nasty.
The times ive been here theres hardly ever any people. Its nice. The staff is always cool.
The layout is pretty cool I like this place for everything except for the showers. There is no privacy doors or curtains on the stalls.
Just came back after a two year lay off. Now that my son is of age, I signed him up for a membership. This place has become run down over the recent years. Ive been a member since the first Golds Gym on 14th street downtown.. So I know a little bit about gyms. If you're looking for an overcrowded, no parking, unable to use more than three machines per work out, because every person wants to sit there on their phone.
Personal trainer males, who I'm sorry, look like slobs (were is the motivation), terrible customer service (run by kids), dark and dingy gym. This is the place for you! It looks to me like society has changed and folks just don't know any better or don't care. Honestly the place should be shut down and the owners should have it fully remodeled top to bottom. New equipment, brighter colors, lights and a freshened up floor plan. And how about a new floor plan for the men's locker room/showers. Something a little more private and not so open for the world to see. But I'm sure the owner is making money hand over fist and could care less. After this year ill be heading down the road after 20 plus years.
Shop around, you can get more bang for your buck at other gyms...

Overall happy with the gym. Prepaid through Costco. Not sure I'd pay full club price since I don't use any of the features that make this a SuperSport location. I can visit during off-peak hours to avoid the bulk of the rush.
Things that could improve:
- increase late-evening cleanup. As you approach midnight, the entire gym often becomes covered in dirty towels.
- buy a full set of kettlebells. What few you have are too light
- drop Les Mills classes

This three story facility is fantastic. I like the atmosphere immensely.
I have been a member of this gym since it first opened as a "Sport" level club. Shortly after it became a "Super Sport" to include towel service and an increase in dues. I love the eclectic mix of people who use this facility, the employees and the location (except parking).
Unfortunately the gym has not been upgraded for some time. The equipment is old, worn and in some cases broken. The sun shades on the third floor (cardio) have been broken for years, thus the sun blinds you. The water fountains break and remain unfixed for weeks at a time. The locker room (men's) is very dated and feels "dirty". As mentioned by another review, there are some patrons who spend an inordinate amount of time soaping themselves up in the shower while looking into the dressing area. Coincidentally, the gym put up shower curtains several times, only to be torn off within days (manager acknowledged this). I also noted that the ventilation grate above two of the showers has several loose screws.....things that make you go hmmmm.
For the amount of money this gym charges, it appears that it is not reinvested into improvements. I have gone to two competing gyms that offer $10 monthly memberships and was surprised by the quality of the equipment and cleanliness of the facilities.

The gym itself is fine, but the biggest problem is that the parking enforcement is shady as hell and the management of the gym won't help. I have watched them ticket a car for parking over the two hour limit right after they had parked and are still walking out of the parking structure into the gym.
The place Is very big for Woking out they have pretty much every thing you need
The gym is pretty solid and staff is nice. 2 stars because the area around it is so nasty and dangerous. Homeless people and crackheads are always lingering. Feces, vomit and rampant mid-day bike thefts are all too common.
Nice Gym with good selection in equipment.
Awful daycare! I am going to cancel my membership here and go back to my prior gym... It's a further commute but atleast my child is in good hands.
After seeing the way the young woman (who was clearly overwhelmed by the responsibility) treated the children I would strongly advise anyone to think that they are getting a good deal with this cheap and lousy childcare. I guess you get what you pay for.
Good, standard gym. Love the pool/sauna option. People for the most part are really nice and respectful. Get there early for classes!
Not impressed for the cost of the membership. Showers and facilities felt a bit outdated and dirty. The equipment was fine and there were plenty of equipment for everyone. Not the best gym around the area
Best gym in the city!
I don't write many reviews but I want to for 24 Hour Fitness.
If you work out regularly you know that your gym is an important part of your life. 24 Hour Fitness is hands down the best gym I have been a member of in OR. The staff is always fantastic. It's busy but never too busy with the perfect amount of machines and weights. The newly redone locker rooms are beautiful and clean. I never have any hassles here and with the little bit of free time I have I want my gym experience to be enjoyable. 24 Hour Fitness is great.

Overpriced, and not friendly. When I had the temerity to complain about charging half of the monthly membership fee for a one-day guest pass, the membership associate actually paraphrased the Nazi soldier's by saying "Don't get mad at me, I'm just following corporate policy."
I was sexually harassed in the showers in the locker room and this location did nothing about it. I reported it to management, with details of the person's appearance. They assured me they would get in touch. Sure enough, someone called the next day, but just to clarify what the person looked like. They said they'd review security footage and get back to me. I never heard back.
The shower stalls at other 24 Hour locations have frosted plexiglass doors. I suggested this location install them, or even curtains, to which the manager responded that the customers always dismantle them so they don't bother anymore. This raises the question of why the customers remove doors or curtains. Based on my experiences there, one in which I was explicitly harassed and numerous others in which men have stared at me for the entire duration of my shower, I would conclude that people remove barriers so they can watch and/or predate on other showering men.
I suppose the management could easily conclude the same; the often-sexualized locker room is not exactly a subtle environment.
Why didn't they call me back?
Why don't they put up new shower curtains every time people take them down?
Why don't they appear concerned about protecting their members from sexual harassment in their building?
Why do I still go there?

Great location next to the max line. really wish they'd add some punching bags though.

Volleyball and/or full court games taking up the basketball courts is SUPER ANNOYING. Basketball is a big part of my workout...why offer a basketball court if it's not always available?!? I'm at the Holgate location now and theres a full court game going on.
I pay for a membership I and I don't have access to a court unless I drive another 20mins to the other locations. Shinanigans.
I've been going to the gym for over 10 years the equipment starting to show its age but it's still can achieve a good workout. The people are nice
Hollywood is by far my favorite 24 location! I wish I lived closer or I'd use this one all the time. I love the towel service and general vibe of this gym. It has a huge class schedule with great prime time classes and all the machines you could ever need. The layout and general environment is pleasing.
I am not giving it 5 stars because of maintenance. It can look pretty clean but there are some areas that are filthy (this is not the gym's fault or the staff necessarily but the outside cleaning crew and high traffic usage, also people are nasty...so blame your fellow members for that) and some equipment is not fixed timely. This is also not the staff's fault but sometimes stuff just breaks due to overuse or misuse and it can't be fixed immediately.
A mess of a gym from the management and organization to the cleanliness and maintenance. Needs a good deep cleaning and repairs all over. Staff is a mixed bag from very nice to rude and uninformed. I've been to 24 Hour clubs in town and in other states and they're pretty good. This one is bottom of the barrel.
I really like this gym. It's not too crowded so I rarely wait for a machine. The staff are pretty friendly & nice. I really wish they would solve the issue with the women's shower clogging, though. The classes here are fantastic & I love that there are 2 weight lifting areas.
Never returning.
Disrespectful harassment.
They just hired a very agressive and stalkerish security guard for the parking garage. Had a VERY bad experience after just searching for something in my trunk for a few minutes.
Falsely accused me of loitering for two hours even though i had just arrived 5 minutes previous. Got in my face and threatened to 86 me. Insisted that he escort me to the gym. This guy is a piece of work.
I love the Hollywood 24 Hour! I typically go just for Group Fitness classes, so I can't comment on the machines. but they seem to keep the facility clean. The studio is on the second floor and lined with large windows making it my favorite studio! The staff is super friendly and consistent with policies- I like that.
This gym is a bit old. I haven't been here a lot but as far as I know they only have 2 squat racks, lots of freeweights (which is good), free weight section and cardio machines are separated into differ floors. Pretty crowded but lots of the people that come here seem to be focused and work hard so it's very inspiring.
