24 hour fitness isnt even 24 hours anymore. I'm stuck in a year contract with this business, and with my schedule I could only make it at 12am-2am. This one has the weirdest schedule I've ever seen closing at 8pm on sunday?! Now I'm paying 40$ a month (which I can't really afford) and I cant even use it! The name is a lie. Dont get a membership.
Worst, oldest treadmills I've EVER seen in a gym, most broken equipment, and dirtiest gym.. tho the pearl location is WAY WORSE lol.. it's almost hilarious how awful this gym is because the 10$ month gyms have brand new stuff and are clean, for 1/4 the price. I've belonged to every other chain and local ones all over the country and these are the crappiest ever. Must not be a real manager here!
Ashleigh Perrin the manager here is rude. The place will scam you out of your money and you won't even see it coming. Id stay clear of 24hour.
Small location with everything you need. Steam room, hot tub and all. Can feel a little crowded but I enjoy working out early mornings
Excellent!!! Totally complete Fitness place!!! A lot of machines, personal trainers, pool. So far my Best experience ever on work out
A very nice gym, if you love at hotel zags at Portland, you can enjoy the gym facility there.
Visiting from out of town. Free trial. Very friendly staff and nice pool.
Good location, price & equipment, but A/C deficient. Usually too humid & they don't even measure it. Often too hot. A few inexpensive fans would fix, but they claim HQ won't allow it except in group workout rooms.

Cancelled my membership on the same day they charged me the annual fee for the incoming year. Tried to explain I moved companies and no longer needed the membership as my company now offered gym access. Talked to three people at their corporate HQ, then the manager at this gym, which both cited I wouldn't get a refund.
They provided me no notification of my upcoming renewal via email or mail, but automatically signed me up for the new year. Then proceeded to tell me it was in the legal terms (which 99% of people don't read), not mention it was a year ago when I signed up.
Over eight years of being their customer, I'll be sure to go with another company in the future. Seems silly to lose a long term customer over $50 annual fee, but that's just me.

One Star for giving me goddamned HIGH RISK CERVICAL CANCER CAUSING HPV from a filthy moldy shower stall here.
I used this downtown 24 hour fitness once instead of my regular location. Worst Mistake Ever. Got an infection of red bumps all over my armpits and genitals right after.
Had a doctor check it out when it wouldn't go away, got told to do STD tests and a pap in addition to getting a cream for it.
Pap came back abnormal. Tested for and confirmed HPV.
My pap before this downtown gym was normal. I haven't had any new sex partners.
This gym literally gave me a cancer-causing STD from being filthy.
I left Downtown Portland at the end of August of 2015 and froze my account at the downtown Portland club with the understanding that that was the best way to cancel my membership. I've just discovered that these people have been charging me a full membership fee since the day I requested a freeze. My fault for not keeping closer tabs on my bank account.
Best they would do is a 3-month refund.
My advice if you need to cancel a membership don't accept the word of the person you are speaking with.

There sales associate lulia was very unpleasant and difficult. She was rude and pushy. She made me want to go somewhere else. I complained to their top manager and she simply did nothing. These people have customer service from hell.
Great staff & equipment - horrible women's locker room. First let me say this is not my home club -- so, I am comparing to a club that 24 Hour Fitness Corporate has obviously invested more into. I was especially hopeful this location would work out because its close to work and the staff are super great and helpful. The ladies locker room and most especially the showers need an overhaul -- it is prime time disgusting. I literally had water pooling at my feet because the drains were jammed in the ladies shower. Also there was hair pooling around in it too. The outlets are in rough shape. I had to go to four separate outlets to get my hair dryer to work because the outlets were so loose the plug kept falling out of the wall. Also there is ALOT of hair on the floor and in the showers of the ladies locker room would be nice to have cleaning staff on duty during peak times.
Great gym. Has also swimming pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. I'm enjoying here over 2 month already and definitely recommend!
Good gym, lots of different equipment and it's never been too busy. Nice staff but I just wear headphones and don't really talk to anyone. They only have 1 squat rack and then another type of squat rack I've never used or seen before, I think it's a squat rack? So I often have to push back leg day a couple visits or wait 15/20 minutes until it's open. If they had a second one this place would be perfect.

Later edit: It appears that some of the older equipment is gradually getting replaced and it's a very welcome change! Please keep it up!
Sorely in need of new equipment. It is embarrassing how old and poor the equipment here feels. This place is in the heart of downtown Portland, but the gear feels like it's from the 1990's.
Pretty complete gym as far as equipment. Not crowded usually. Friendly staff. Great location but no free parking available.
I'm glad there's an affordable gym downtown. It feels really dated though, like there hasn't been a remodel in years. At least compared with other gyms I've attended that look much more modern, open and have more tvs. I know to a lot of people that's no big deal, but I thought it was worth mentioning especially for the price you pay. If you're just looking for a place to use equipment or do laps in the pool... This gym is within walking distance if you live near the area and not rediculously expensive. This is kind of your only option so I'd recommend it for that reason.
