Worked out here while in town for a visit. Nice equipment, well maintained. Great open floor plan. Active place but not too crowded that you can't jump on the equipment you want. Really enjoyable exercise spot.

I cancelled my account today due to familial obligations and time management. It had also been nearly 2 years since I actually used the gym, but I kept putting off cancelling my membership. I had a very good and smooth experience during the process that was handled by Gio. He tried to offer me a lower membership fee and reminded me of how much you can get done in just 30 min a day even twice a week. I had to decline because I barely have even 15 min to do the stuff that I NEED to get done.

Honestly, because of how smooth it was and how respectful he and the other staff nearby were, I will most likely be returning when I am able to free up my time and finances. It's a great gym in a good location. Very clean and the people there were always helpful, kind, and seemed like they enjoyed being there. I know they probably didn't, but it helped you feel like you also wanted to be there working hard.

Before today I was expecting this review to go much different due to other's experiences that I read about, but was pleasantly surprised.

My experience at Fitness 19 as a whole was good until I decided to cancel my membership. I have started using a gym in my neighborhood and its very convenient and within walking distance. When I tried to explain that to one of Fitness 19's staff members, I think his name was Xavior, he did not want to accept that I was cancelling my membership and began questioning my lifestyle choices, time management and priorities; going as far as too say I should come to the gym after work rather than going home to be with my family. I do not know if this a standard tactic/culture that Fitness 19 uses when members decide to cancel, but I never step foot in or recommend this gym to anyone.

Beware, spoke with the staff apparently tasked with the responsibility of courtesy calls and customer interaction when I received a newly updated debit card around 2 years ago. I stated I no longer needed their facility and would like to cancel. I gave my new card information to settle up the balance. Now 2 years later this has happened again, obviously I should have noticed the monthly charge however the issue is that I requested it be cancelled after the balance was paid. I agreed to sign a month to month agreement orihinally as I understood there was no contract and this was one of the benefits of their company. Now again 2 years of charges without use, I had no problem as it was partially my fault for not noticing and resolving the charge issue. What I do have an issue with as a business owner myself is employees without the couth to refrain from arguing with a customer especially after stating I would send my wife by to resolve the bill and cancel this "no contract" while I'm out of town. I was told there was no way to cancel without being there in person to sign and pay for one more additional month as they have a 30 day notice policy additionally. The two representatives I spoke with were Xavier and Geno I believe they said, and both were persistent that I must again immediately add and update my card information,,,, is it really that hard to understand my reservation to update this information as I was consistently charged previously without my permission. Again I agreed to pay for the last month and current that I'm "behind on" but don't appreciate the backtalk. I'd assume an honest owner would rather their staff be proactive in updating the information they have on file especially if the customer isnt attending or try to persuade a customer tok stay rather than these high pressure tactics just to make a quick buck. Think long term business owners not just short. Apparently this is an ongoing issue as I've found several similar reviews.... so here I am wasting more of my time to write this review as the staff was less than helpful, unapologetic for the misunderstanding and that typical sense of entitlement/EGO seems to be contagious in this particular location. I have hopes that these high pressure tactics aren't universal for all locations. I asked the most recent rep to call not to argue with me as I'll be sending my wife by in person to settle the issue while I'm out of town and don't have time for this call and I'd rather not feel it necessary to leave a Google review ....like a simpleton he continued by stating you're arguing with me, when questioned how, he couldn't answer other than stating he needed to update my card information... hope their life is less stressful than this phone conversation was, it's just not worth it.

I joined this gym in 2012 because it was conveniently located for me at the time. It was a fairly good gym. No bells and whistles. It was always air conditioned and clean. I had no complaints. It is now 2018. I've had a kid and moved and the other location on the other side of town is just kind of out of the way for me. There are 24 hour gyms closer to where I live, so I went to the Fitness 19 in Edmond to cancel my membership. I spoke with Xavier who was very aggressive in trying to make me keep my membership. He even told me that he gets it, that I don't care about my health and overall well being. I thought he was very rude and disrespectful. After the way he talked to me, I don't know why any one would ever want to come back. I would have rated this place a 5, but their staff could use an attitude adjustment.

Great location for people in the city. Amazing gym etiquette all around. Dumbbells always re-racked, same with the plates, and people always willing to let you work in.

I rate this gym as a 1 star gym. Good clean facility. However the their customer service is poor. Specifically Xavier the manager is very hard to work with. Since day 1 I have had bad experiences with him. Like many others the cancellation process is horrible in addition Xavier is very disrespectful. I was harassed and mistreated. I was a paying customer and member for several Months and up to date. I invited a guess and my guess was offended by him. I reached out the the manager of the Britton location and he was no help at all. He and it seems like the top people are ok with their management mistreating and disrespecting customers. If you are considering a gym to become a member at I recommend 10gym in Edmond as they treat you more professionally and kindly and just overall better to work with. DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT sign up at any of the Oklahoma fitness 19's especially the Edmond location. Worst mistake you can make to become fit and healthy. 10 gym, planet fitness or gold's gym, preferably 10gym is what I prefer. Thanks

Worst costumer service they signed me up over the phone never told me about the 73 dollar anual fee even though I told the person I was only going to be here for 3 months. Go there they tell me they can't refund me and I can't cancel my account with out the general manager being there which I can't make because I woke 9 to 9 everyday except for Sunday's. I recommend not going there so you don't get screwed over cheap isn't always the best go to golds gym instead and pay 34 a month they won't screw you over like fitness 19 does.

Edit: I did go talk to the manager told me nothing could be done to get my money back. So this month I payed 103 dollars just for a 9 dollar membership 20 for two people 73 annual fee and 10 dollar cancellation. So this whole summer I payed almost 200 dollars.

No customer loyalty at all. I thought I had cancelled over a year before, and I discovered that Fitness 19 in Edmond had been charging my card for the last 18 months. I realized this when they charged a monthly fee and an annual fee at the same time to my card. I called that day asking for a refund of just those two transactions, and they won't do it. They've been siphoning off of me for the last 18 months, the least they could do is refund me for the current month. They said they also cannot cancel over the phone. If you cancel, monitor your bank account.

Love working out at this gym. It's a clean, inexpensive, uncrowded place to work out with no long term contract. If your idea of a gym includes a pool, aerobics classes, tanning beds, smoothie bar etc. this isn't the place for you. But if you're serious about fitness without a bunch of frills this place fits the bill. They do offer childcare, however.
