The orangetheory system is very good and recommended. but in this OTTAWA HILLS study, coach Maria does this place badly, with attitude, shouting and mistreating those who exercise, as well as explaining the exercises poorly

While I'm not a member, my girlfriend is. This review is addressing her recent experience with the system and they're staff.
The exercises are excellent. The classes are kept to a relatively small size so that you feel you're not being ignored. For a med student who has limited time, the high intensity workouts are a great way of staying in shape. The exercises change regularly so you're less likely to plateau, and it keeps exercising from getting boring.
The bad. Do not buy their health monitors, no matter what they tell you. The devices are uncomfortable, wildly inaccurate, and stop working very quickly. OTF has known of these issues and has yet to improve on the devices. For the high prices, you're better off buying a smart wearable like Fitbit or Samsung active. The first use of her device showed zero activity. Chalking it up to a fluke, over the next couple exercises the tracker was tried again. At no point did the tracker offer realistic activity. Upon raising the issue to staff, she was told only the manager would be able to handle it. According to Ben, the manager Molly wasn't "keen," on a device swap. They would prefer her to go in at the managers convenience and troubleshoot the device. When you're passing the premium you pay at OTF and the premium for these devices, you'd expect better from the staff
We are returning the device and have reached out to corporate.

I love OrangeTheory! No workout is ever the same! The coaches at the Toledo location are top notch and truly care about each person there!
I finally have found something that I've been able to stick with over the past 2 years!

The staff is amazing! I love that they greet everyone by name and with a smile. I know I'm always going to walk out feeling better than I did when I walked in. Super thankful for my orange theory family.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!'
If I could give a worse review I would. I have spoken to this location at least 4 times on the phone. Two separate managers and multiple employees. When I enrolled I said I travel and would not like to have the repeating charges after two months. They have continued to charge me four months!! Last month they explained it was my last charge and I JUST GOT CHARGE!!
They have a new manager who states that the old manager did not clearify that. What is worse, I have only gone to the class one time.
I will not go to another Orange theory again, do not let them scam you!!!

I've been an Orangetheory member in Florida for over 4 years. The staff at this location was so welcoming. I used the shower facility after the workout since I was on the road. It was so clean with plenty of space. Bath towels were available as well. It was a great experience!

Workouts are good, but the loaner heart rate monitors fail 50% of the time. Extremely inflexible policies. If you travel, you will lose the workouts you missed, no exceptions. Beware their "month to month" plan. If you want to only sign up for a month, you have to cancel two months in the past to avoid paying $120 for workouts you don't want. The manager told me that if they refunded money to all the people who wanted refunds, they would go out of business. Not surprising.
