Sent a certified letter to cancel on 3/16. It was delivered on 4/20 (yes over a month later, not a typo). Multiple form submissions on the website to cancel. Have not heard anything. What a joke. I feel bad for some of the employees at our location who were really nice people, especially the front desk guy, who knew EVERYONE's name no matter how frequently you went or not. Just acknowledge your freaking member requests!

Worst gym to do business with. they have a decent space and gym but truthfully their management and staff haven't been known facilitate honest and fair prices. They also tend to kick people out or not members into the gym for no reason

Update: they wholesale removed the water bottle refiller, but at least the water stream doesn't suggest the fountain has prostate problems anymore. Everything else is as the 6 month review. Also the support pad on a squat machine has been broken for 2 months and is frankly kinda dangerous to use as it gives way once there's more than a 45lb plate on each side.

6-month review:
Water bottle refill at fountain still not fixed since day 1. Water fountain barely produces water past the mouth level.
Bumper plates are often at the bicep curl machine. Seems nobody replaces things here.
Platforms have big divots in them, bar frequently rolls away/to you.
The bench press benches are lopsided/askew.
Basketball court is frequently taken up by children/daycare like I'm at a community center and not paying $50 a month.
The one guest pass you ever get better not be used with someone who can be found in their system or else it's $15 for them.

I've been a member here now 5 years. Never had a problem until today. I bring my young daughter in to go swimming with me for an hour just to get out the house. I pay for passport but really I only use this gym cause its convenient. I've brought my daughter here a few times on a Saturday since I only have her the weekends. Staff and management are really nice and have no problems with bringing my daughter for a swim as long as there is a life guard of course. Today was a diferent story. They did not allow my daughter access to the pool.management said that it's only on Fridays and Sundays. That makes no sense to me so what's the difference ? I've brought my daughter here on Saturdays before and never had an issue. I was so upset I even wanted to cancel my membership and management told me he cant do it today. Such a big inconvenience for him. I'm going to cancel on Monday. Be warned if you have kids they will deny you pool access so dont even bother paying for passport access. Waste of money.

Not that great, I was expecting better. Not that clean. U get towels which that's nice. I tried to take a strength training class not it was all full which sucked but I did watch the class and I thought the crunch which closed was much much better and had much much better trainers. I did a spin class, was OK. I did fall off at one point n the pedal whacked me in my calf, not their fault but still hurt lol anyway it's OK, I feel like cleanliness or lack thereof was my biggest issue

Everything was excellent they remodeled the while gym new paint new machines new flooring it's great there and since my last review they really changed up things I really love going to the gym and the steam and sauna room and way cleaner thanks for doing ya best NYSC white plains, keep up the amazing work

Terrible Customer Service, the club will not even allow you to cancel a membership without coming in, it's more of a scam gym then a serious place to workout.

This is by far one of the nicest NYSC, has basketball court, raquetball, new equipment! Also not crowded during peak hours. One of the best things about this gym is cleanliness. It is worth the 1 dollar an hour parking! Try this NYSC and you will feel like you are in an Equinox (I have been so I know this is a big statement).

At my one year mark they increased my membership fee with absolutely no notice. They do this as soon as they charge you the annual fee so that if you decide to cancel they have already charged it. I pay 2 memberships in my household been going to this gym for years and putting up with the old squeaky machines, now they buy some new machines and they want to charge more without telling people? I went to speak to the manager Cesar who said corporate sent out an email, I check my email daily and never received one. Is there a phone number for corporate? No. Want to cancel? There is a fee for that too and 45 day waiting period, yet you sign nothing of the sort when you sign up. Terrible customer service and you need to pay for parking at this location. I suggest going to one of the other gyms in the area or driving the extra 10 minutes to LA Fitness.

Had an incredibly difficult time from the start with this gym. On multiple occasions I have looked at my credit card statement and found numerous charges from them that were not in the membership agreement. They also increased my membership, as well as several others without notification or consent. When it was time to cancel, I was told I would have to pay for one more month, with access to the gym for 30 more days. Come to find out i was charged for two more months, with no way of being able to get this money back. What I was told is they charge you for the 30 days and then a prorated amount for 15 days. LISTEN to the reviews. There is absolutely no consistency with management as they will each tell you different information as to why they are charging you and will NEVER give your money back.

Bad. Sauna and steam room needs to get clean everyday. Staff is nasty. The house keeping lady is rude.

I'm staying nearby on a trip. A single day guest pass was $15! Their memberships are $30 per month plus fees... The place is clean and the pool looks okay. Manager showed no sympathy over the outrageous charge to come as a guest. My friend who has a membership here canceled his membership a month before it expired. They have a cancelation specialist he needed to meet with which took 20 minutes. That is too much hassle to avoid the auto renewal. Parking in the garage is $1 per hour also, which would nearly double the cost of a membership here.

Things are not bad until I tried to cancel the membership.
First, they didn't inform me about the automatic enrollment to a second year and the additional cancellation fee in my initial inquiry for membership cancellation. Second, no room for negotiation when I called about the charge (took me many phone calls to finally reach the person in charge).
Misinforming customers about charge details and unwillingness to make adjustment to continue the customer's satisfaction put this as one of my worst customer experience.

When I opened my membership, I asked about freezing for few months and they told me it can be reserved even I didn't call back to freeze my membership in that month. However, there were no freezing and few months later, there were no more person who helped my membership open, so they could not refund. Also, I cancelled my membership the end of November verbally, when I went there, they didn't tell me about the policy, anything about the cancellation forms, they just told me it is cancelled, it will be finished within 30 days. HOWEVER, I paid 6 months more after I told them to cancel, and also annual fees. When I called with manager, he promised me to refund for 4 transactions include annual fee instead of 6 transactions. But, he never refund the money back, and didn't pick up my call again. When I dispute this situation, they just keep telling me to prove my cancellation. People who want to use this gym, please check the cancellation forms or the proof after you cancel. They are just the worst company I've ever been in my whole life. I recommend not to go here ever.

first off, I was with NYSC up until last sept 2016. I had been away for work in the summer to return to my regular work out in September. Everything seem ok , had been going about 3-4 days a week since sept. Then towards the end of sept/oct. I was inform as I was checking in one day that I did not have an account no more. So I questioned it and was told that My card had been declined since that July of that current year. My card had expired was all, So I offered to just provide my updated new card. However they said I had to pay the past due, the new rates and the start fee's all over again. I ask why then if it was canceled why not a phone call or follow up through email. They said and this is one one the managers that told me that they do and if I have a problem to talk to corporate. kinda rude about it, Then I spoke to a GM there and before anything went further he said that he is not allowing me in "HIS" gym. A bit attitude as well. He advised me that they do call and do email customers on miss payments. So I challenge him to show me and advised the dates to me so I can cross reference to my email and phone log. He decided he he did not have to. So I left went home paid the past due date's on the account and called them back just to make sure it went through. A lady pick up and said it was process, we hung up and I come to get an alert from my bank of a charge from NYSC white plains. It was a double charge on what I had already online. So that made it worse there, contacted the bank and they took care of it there. About a couple of hours later, the GM calls and said he wants to try to help and said he would call me within the new couple of days. I said ok , I also told him that I had contacted my phone carrier and they have provided me my incoming phone log and no calls came from NYSC. No words from him then. I also advised him that no incoming emails was sent from NYSC about miss payment. I also ask him if my account was canceled in september then why was I still permitted to still go to the gym for most of September and why didnt someone in the front desk say anything about my account from the first time I went back to the gym after that summer. Again no answer!! So I waited a few days and a week goes by , I decided to call NYSC corporate and told them the story, The lady actually gave me the GM email address and that she will put notes in the file, that I would have to ask the GM to ask the DM about giving me back the rate I had when I was at NYSC. So I emailed the GM, no answer from him. All of this from a expired card, not a declined card. So this is where I am as far as how that could have been settle differently. I have proof of no emails and no phone calls from them up until the GM called that day when I was told about the issues and never heard from him again, This left a very bad taste and I will not forget about this. I will continue to share my story until this get resolved. #BBB
