Everything so far! It's clean. Has so much to offer. Every day will be different which I love. The showers are awesome....the warm towels are so comforting.....it's like a first class spa at an affordable price!!
The new hot tub is awesome. Hopeful the stucco as well as the door and window frames encompassing the adult tub either get replaced or refurbished. The rusted and jagged metel on the door and frame leading to the outdoor pool is very sharp and dangerous. It's quite strange that this hasn't been fixed since I first noticed it 11 years ago................
Hadn't been here in years. Club is gigantic, but friendly. Very well maintained.
I love this gym! The equipment is always well maintained, the pools are beautiful, it is very spacious, there are many classes, and best of all, the childcare is wonderful. I trust the childcare staff 100% to keep my toddler safe and happy and she loves coming here every weekend. The manager Mike seems to do a good job keeping everything in the gym running smoothly. Highly recommend!
Worst Sports and Wellness in town the Manager is very rude and unprofessional. Would not recommend this location at all. I have had a wonderful experience at High Point and Riverpoint. She yelled at me and my kids in the locker room in front of everyone because I simply did not know the policy of no kids in the women's locker room. Not the way I want to start my membership. Definitely going to look at other gyms because of how poorly my children and I were treated. My daughter got to the car and started crying and said "why was she yelling at you mommy I never want to come here again." I understand rules and policies however embarrassing a new member and over talking and yelling in front of everyone is HORRIBLE customer service. We have referred so many families and will definitely tell all our friends about this awful experience we had with the Manager.
My four year old has never been in day care. He loves the daycare at this Sports and Wellness! The ladies there do such a great job! He cries when we have to leave. The indoor and outdoor pool is so nice too, and well maintained! My children love this gym and so do my husband and I!
This place is an absolute joke. It is not worth the money you pay. It is no longer a good gym.
The locker rooms are always filthy and you ask Housekeepers for help and the one short kid pretends to not speak English.
We were there on Saturday and I had a question about my bill. I asked to see the manager. I see some girl crying at the front desk while folding towels. I was told by some young kid that the manager was getting a massage. I was totally irritated. No manager willing to help me cause she was getting a massage
I tried a few weeks ago to get help to open the locker. Some man who looks like the Jolly Green Giant went off on a tangent about how sorry he was that the front desk staff was incompetent and that anytime I need anything he's the "man in charge".
The sales staff is just as incompetent. I went in to see about adding my step son to my account and this kid Alex pulls out his phone and starts texting while I'm trying to talk to him.
The equipment is filthy, you ask for help from the trainers and they ignore you. I am so disappointed in Del Norte. The managers are rude and unwillingly to help. A massage maybe is what they need to help paying customers.

I'm not sure what more you can ask of a health club... the facility is clean and bright, the classes are amazing and taught by instructors that give 100% effort and care about making your experience amazing. The childcare options are wonderful! The pool has become our summer hang out and my kids are in LOVE with the swim lessons they're taking. I've never had to wait for equipment, a locker, or a towel. Plus, with one monthly fee you can utilize ANY Sports and Wellness facility in the area! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Worth every penny!

I love it here!!!
Yes, it is expensive. But I feel worth every penny.
The ONLY exercise I will willingly do is swimming. I also work VERY early in the morning (and thus go to bed VERY early ), so every community pool is out. The Y closed their indoor pool (due to a hot water heater issue), and they now only have a outside pool only open a few months out of the year. So my only option is here.
That being said, I don't have to bring ANY personal items (shampoo, soap, ect) and free towels. Super helpful when you only have a moped.
Let me tell you about Susan...
AMAZING, she truly is.
She helped sign me up and recently told me how good I look!!!!
Out of the 5 locations they have she is the go to one to help you.
Also they have 5 locations, depending on what your choice of exercise is, there is a club that can help with that.
I like the Del Norte one the best (best pool)
It has a country club feel (probably due to the price)
I am by no means rich, or even middle class, but again, worth EVERY penny.

I've been going here for more than 5 years now, I started off paying $60 a month and am now paying $90 , what has changed over the 5 years?? Maybe 3 or 4 pieces of equipment added and this was just this past year, is it worth the money and that increase? No, but its really the only gym in the state that offers the amenities it has, compare it to LA fitness or other gyms in major cities and the price this place charges really becomes a joke and disappointment.
I'm seeing the reviews about the staff, as well as the equipment.. but has anyone said anything about that janitor? I call him, Mr. Hoover.. The staff obviously knows this is going on, or probably heard about it. But then again - when the front desk people take a brisk walk through the gym checking out the chicks or certain person they are interested in (yeah, the younger staff males/females do this in the morning) - Mr. Hoover will PRETEND to mind his cleaning.
But as soon as he knows the staffers aren't looking or have gone off the shift for the new crew? Here he comes with that vacuum cleaner. Like Harry Potter on his broom. Any female he has his eye on, or if there's just certain members he apparently wants to irritate, including young males who are actually power lifting? He plugs in that vacuum cleaner and goes STRAIGHT over to where they are working out and starts vacuuming around the person's feet, their bags, water bottles, even the barbell or dumbbells they have next to them while resting or while they are in the middle of lifting. Happened to me a couple of times before i make a point to get out of his way while he's damn near knocking over my water bottle.
This happens especially if the female is scantily clad, and working out with her butt in the air, or showing excessive cleavage. OR, if the female is a professional just trying to get her workout done without interruption. Even if he's already worked there no more than a few minutes ago, he'll go flying back over there the moment there's a new person he's interested in. He doesn't look at them directly while he's in their space? He does quick glances..
I've observed this since joining. The females just keep working out while he's PRETENDING to vacuum while getting a good gander of her nether regions or whatever else they have on display..
It's really creepy when you're just sitting on a bench resting and you happen to look up, and he's staring dead at you, while closing in on your location with that damn vacuum cleaner..
If i could upload a video of this guy i would.. Maybe i will..

For god sake it has a pool, hot tub, dry sauna, and steam room. Its a huge facility lots of equipment. What should the prices be? These types of gyms are 5 times better than planet fitness. Best time to come is 4 in the morning.
Not sure what is going on with NMSW but this gym has recently started to really deteriorate. The equipment is falling apart, just yesterday the interface on one of the elliptical machines was being held together with scotch tape. Seriously Sports and Wellness? Your rates continue to increase while your equipment continues to get worse. When you bring this to the attention of club staff they shrug it off and don't care. The locker rooms have really gotten disgusting, with MOLD everywhere. It's gotten to the point where I don't even feel clean after showering. I will be canceling my membership at the end of the month. Good riddance to you NMSW.
Went in thinking about quitting and the sales/management person essentially just printed out a cease form without asking why we wanted to leave or selling us on staying. Then because it was March 2 when I tried to quit, he whips out a contract that nowhere on it defines what a "month" notice entails, and then proceeds to say we were late in cancelling so we have to also pay for April. That's a simple money grab that the sales guy seemed pleased to point out, which I think is a terrible outlook to have in regards to the members/customers there.
The cardio equipment operates with varied resistance and the interfaces often don't work. The culture of the staff here is very laissez-faire, standing around, not wiping machinery down or engaging with members.
I've looked at other reviews on here and it should be a blatant sign that Wellbridge needs to be working on fixing their contracts to better appease members and future clientele - but apparently they don't care, which just reinforces the notion that price gouging and not health is their main objective.
They can prove me and the reader wrong, if I don't have to pay past March then I'll delete this review, if I do I'll never take it down.
This place sucks plain and simple. Worst experience ever. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
Not sure about the negative reviews - the rep clearly laid out all the fees and costs (at least mine did - maybe they were more hidden in the past) when I signed up. You get discounts based on health insurance, age, military status, etc... so the monthly costs will vary by person.
It's a fantastic gym with lots to do and they plan to extend it with more goodies. Staff is very friendly, they have plenty of space, gyms scattered all over ABQ that you have access to, and lots of classes included with membership. I'm very happy with it. Just ask questions and know what you're getting into and you should be fine.
Very poor customer service. Wanted to charge me $110/month while the wife has a membership for $60/month. Don't suggest talking to Abe. He'll price gouge you.
Great location with large changing rooms and tons of class options
Worst customer service and devious membership practices. Virtually impossible to talk with someone who has the authority to help you. Oh and very expensive fees.
I get a discounted rate because of my health insurance, which makes the price very fair given everything Sports & Wellness has to offer. From free weights, machines, TRX, exercise bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, year round pools, hot tubs, basketball courts, classes, personal training, and more, it has everything. One negative is that there aren't a ton of classes at night, which limits my ability to use them since I work all day. Overall, I think it's the most complete gym in town.
Gym is good, BUT... beware the dreaded CONTRACT. Here's what they don't tell you and you're probably going to miss in the contract:
They require 30 day notice to cancel your membership. But not just 30 days... If you cancel on July 2, you are going to be paying through the end of August. Some BS about their 30 day billing cycle. So you really are going to pay them for 2 months longer than you use the gym.
And since this IS the most expensive gym in town (our bill was over $200 a month), paying for an extra two months when you want to cancel is some pretty shady crapola!
A call to their management company (Wellbridge) was answered with "well, you signed the contract..."
As always, caveat emptor because these guys are crooks.
Took a barre class with Tara, it was awesome. She's a wonderful instructor! Facility is lovely. Staff was friendly! :)
Great facility with excellent staff. Food options are great especially the shakes.
Cleanest and most staffed location! This location is definitely has more of a health club vibe than a gym but that's good for a little R&R after a workout. Also the breakfast burritos are amazing here!
