With everything surrounding COVID-19 in full effect, I am blown away with the level of responsiveness, professionalism, and solid communication. Grateful for a company that doesn't charge me when I am not able to use their services. Their customer service has remained client focused, and they are not taking more of my money in response to the unfortunate temporary closure due to the pandemic. It would be really easy for them to make an extra buck and continue to charge memberships (TONS of clubs are doing this) even though customers are unable to use the gym.
Excited for when the club re-opens and grateful for respectable business practices. Keep up the great work!

I love the availability of a huge variety of exercise equipment and especially areas for targeted training. This location is 24hrs so works great for my husband and I since we have totally different schedules. And I have definitely taken advantage of the massage chairs and the total body enhancement in the black card spa after a good workout. Definitely worth it!

People at desk sometimes are not friendly. But most of the time they are very helpful and friendly. Added: I see your reply below. 19 days out of 20, your peeps are really awesome. But I have had like 4 times in the last year where they have snapped at me. I wish I could give you 4.5 stars.

I love this place. Fees are good. Variety of machines and work out regimens. Then I like to hop into the massage lounger. Great way to cool down before I leave.

Shawnee Planet Fitness is a GREAT place to work out. Love the staff, 24 hour access WITH STAFF THERE, and lots of equipment. No negative experiences at this facility for us.

I told family I was going to go to planet fitness they thought I was crazy because they told me itsi a cheap nasty gym. So I signed up and honestly don't regret it at all! I think I would be stupid to pay anymore because you get so much for your money at PF! Now I'm considering the Black Card for the extras you get!

Planet Fitness is the most affordable gym in the Metro area, and with so many locations there's nearly always one nearby. I go at about 10PM and have my run of the place. They only close on major holidays. If you enjoy tanning, upgrading to the Black Card gives you access to tanning booths and beds at a much more affordable rate than tanning parlors. The massage beds and chairs are another great amenity that comes with the Black Card.
As of July 2018, a regular membership is $10 per month and the Black Card is $23. I'm only giving 4 stars because when I upgraded to the Black Card, the employees told me it was $20 per month when it was in fact $23 and it took several months of calls and questions before an employee remembered that rates had gone up some time ago. Aside from not being well informed, employees are friendly and courteous!

Better than the other Planet Fitnesses in the area (much better than the OP one). Not crowded. Friendly staff. Plenty of equipment.

Friendly staff and helpful too. The trainer there once saw me strugling with a weight and offered to help me. Unfortunately they don't have a lot of weight racks or even any that are free movement, but I guess it makes sense safety wise to have only Smith machines.

I enjoy coming in everyday. I feel comfortable working out knowing no one is judging me. All the staff members are super kind and helpful. I would totally recommend planet fitness to anyone who wants to work out.

I really enjoy that I can go in at my leisure whenever my schedule allows. My days got all changed around for a week or so and I had no problems fitting in some time there when I wanted.

As far as I'm concerned, this is an awesome location. Sometimes, it gets busy and machines get taken up, but the best part is all the machines actually work. If there are broken machine, the most I've seen one broken for is maybe a week or two. Awesome service and staff here.

Good luck closing that account. They require you to visit the physical location or mail in a letter. They for some reason can't verify over the phone with your information like every other company I've every dealt with. They can however verify identity over the phone enough to speak with you about account details. They use their policy to steal from customers who no longer use their services. I will never join again or recommend. Sending in my second letter tomorrow to try to get this account closed, this time it will be certified.

This place is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. As with most gyms in the area it gets really busy during peak hours. The great thing is everyone I've seen at the gym politely wipes down the equipment after they use it and the gym has plenty of stations with paper towels, and cleaning spray.

STAY AWAY!! Employees are extremely rude. I told an employee regarding a malfunctioning adductor machine and asked him if he could put in a maintenance request for the machine - he kept laughing and showed me how to wiggle the machine to get it to work. I asked him again to put in a maintenance request for the machine, and he just laughed and walked away. Also, I do not feel safe here - today one of the employees - Julie almost hit me with a riding sweeper machine while she was listening to her music, looking elsewhere and not paying attention to the people who are walking by. When I went and asked her to pay more attention next time, she kept arguing with me saying that she can't slow down the machine because the speed on the machine is not adjustable. She would not even admit that the whole incident was very unsafe, she could've hit me with the machine and she should have been more careful. She kept cutting me off, would not let me talk, and finally rudely told me to talk to her manager - Sabrena Lea. That is what I will do. Not to mention, wet floors with no yellow sign or cone, I almost slipped on the water today. I will be looking for a different place to work out very soon.

Very clean and well-maintained. Members are encouraged to clean machines after use and, due to the quantity of paper towel/sanitizer stations, they usually do. The staff is generally pleasant.
There is plenty of equipment available, even during peak times. Although they don't have barbells, they do offer 4 Smith machines and a variety of dumbbells.

This is a great gym with unbelievably low prices. I have no idea how they stay in business. They have tons of equipment and it's usually not too crowded.

Watch out. This gym will randomly charge you $40 8 weeks after you sign up for what they say is an "annual" fee - if you ask why you are being charged this when you paid $50 dollars to sign up and what the fee is for or why it is charged at a random time you are told - BECAUSE. And get no more explanation than that. When you complain that no one told you would be charged this fee or you would never have signed up you are told that it is your fault for not reading the contract carefully enough and called a liar for saying you weren't told about it at the initial sign up. I want to quit my contract but they will penalize me $60 if I do so I am stuck. This was a terrible deal and I wish I could go back in time and not have signed up with such brutal thieves as Planet Fitness.

The gym has a nice, clean setup. Members have access to free consultations to get workout routines tailored to their needs. The woman doing it took extra time out to show me the machines and help me understand which muscles to use. Seriously worth every dollar.

I really wish I could give them a -0. Moved five months ago to a different state with no planet fitness. I went I. physically and I was told to write a letter to cancel my account. I did. After I moved they were still charging me and I was told that they never received my letter for cancellation that I had to send it again via certified mail... five months later and over $100 in fees they still hadn't canceled my membership . After contacting member services and them supposedly forwarding my emails to management at this location no one ever returned my calls. Finally got a hold of someone today, a manager that's only been there less than a month and a half and she started telling me how I owe $58 for cancellation fees and that they never received anything. Extremely poor cuddle service and nothing but confused people. horrible manager turn over and I will be sure to fight this legally.
