Man, I just love this place- the classes, sup yoga in the pool, the splash pad, the steam room, the way you feel like family when you walk in.
It's a fun, relaxing, uplifting place for my whole family to be.
I've been a member since 2004, moved away for a few years and am so glad to be back.
Thank you Apple for continually improving the facility.
I plan on being a member forever!
Three pools, friendly staff, and good hours. Sadly though the nursery isn't open enough on the weekends which isn't great when you work all week and want to workout on the weekends and there's next to no availability. Overall a decent gym.
I am so grateful to have this Pilates studio in my hometown! It has given me new energy, strength and flexibility! I have been going for past 3 years, 2-3 times a week. The MELT class weekly as well. It is the BEST investment for my personal wellness and health! Thank you Apple and Mind/Body Staff for providing your friendship, expertise and helping me stay strong!
I love the Apple.
My first priority is safe childcare, and the Apple nursery is well staffed and well lit. When my third baby was fussy, someone would rock him the entire time I worked out. My only wish is that the max time was 85 minutes instead of 75 so I had time to shower after a class.
I need the accountability of a workout class, and the Apple offers a lot of classes for all different interests. They even have kids fitness classes that my bigger kids can attend while I work out. I especially enjoy Power Yoga, Group Power, and Spinning. If you're self conscious about starting a workout routine, I strongly suggest spinning. It's all black lights, so no one can see you. I started there and moved to other classes when I gained confidence.
The pool is not the nicest in Idaho Falls, but it's by far the warmest. The Aquatic Center has lots of fun slides, but the water is too cold for small children. My six month old loves the therapy pool at the Apple.
Finally, I love the locker room. Clean and smelling of eucalyptus, it's an oasis of calm after the kids go to childcare.
Best gym in idaho
A relaxing and comfortable place to exercise
I have been an Apple Athletic Club member for more than 10 years. What can I say? It is clean and we'll equipped. The staff is highly qualified and super friendly. They have a broad selection of classes from which to choose. They work very hard at being the best in town.
The value is great for what you get. It is such a large facility that it never feels too crowded when I am working out either. The classes have great instructors and the pool has been very nice to hang out at during the warm days and evenings.
I was charged a 15 dollar late fee for Apple because my card barely expired. After taking multiple steps to rectify the situation including paying the remaining balance of my account, they wouldn't waive the 15 dollar fee. After paying off my membership and saying I can bring in whatever info from the bank I needed to fix the 15 dollar fee, I wanted them to delete my card so they wouldn't charge for anything else but was told "there is a 20 dollar fee to take the card information out."
They continued to say , "card declines happen all the time, but we aren't the department that changes the policies." I then asked for an email confirmation of which payments were authorized during the phone call, and was told "no, it is ridiculous that you would even ask me that." I then said that due to the my friends bad experience with apple I would like some sort of confirmation. They then said, "well we aren't talking about your friends, we are talking about you."
I honestly can't believe that they would care so much about money and so little about people. Keep in mind, I had a clean record of payments until the card expired and I called 1 day late. Do not join apple, unless you want screwed over.
I am so happy I started going to Apple Athletic Club! They give you 2 free sessions with a trainer, which was great for me since I had never worked out at a gym before. I started working with Kathy K. and have lost a lot of weight and am getting noticeably stronger. The facility is nice and clean and I have enjoyed every workout with Kathy, she's the best!!
Excellent opportunities for workouts, great and caring trainers, I'm so impressed with the class for Parkinson's people that Sandy Gordon teaches. Friendly warm staff...
My 93 year young mom takes the aquatic exercise and loves it. If there was a 6 star rating I'd give Apple 6 stars!
I have enjoyed the apple volleyball leagues for years. Kathy K is such an energetic and supportive trainer that she makes exercising fun rather than a chore. The facilities as a whole are always clean and well staffed.
Really enjoy working out at the Apple. I have attended one of Kathleen Kalougata's classes and it was amazing! Super good workout and "Kathy" did a great job with tons of energy and enthusiasm. I really enjoy the "after workout time" in the spa, sauna and pools. A big shout out to the guys who keep the executive locker so clean and stocked with supplies! Thanks Apple for giving me a great reason to workout on a regular basis!

If you are looking for a nice gym, check out the Apple. They are fully staffed with lots of extras even a women's only area. Lots of fun sport leagues and different classes. Wonderful personal trainers. I personally love Kathy, very up beat, high energy, and motivates you through the entire session. Only down side and the reason I have it 4 stars is that it is on the more expensive side, but that is expected for the many wonderful amenities that they offer.

Worst gym experience I have ever had. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. They are shady with their contracts and only want your money. I wanted to join the gym for a few months due to my living situation which I made very clear since I was attending college elsewhere within 6 months, but my representative made an "accident" (their words, not mine) where she filled out the wrong line, so when it came my time to move, they were not accommodating on THEIR mistake. Since I did not live in Idaho Falls anymore they were hard to get ahold of and I was hung up on multiple times. Eventually, they sent me to collections, I was 19 years old at the time.. Had to refinance my car so they wouldn't garnish my wages for THEIR mistake. 4 years later and I'm still paying the price. Shoot for non-profit organizations, they genuinely care about your health, rather than your wallet.
I love to be outside, but because I cant always escape to places to enjoy XC skiing or hiking, I noticed when I would go do these things- I would be completely sore. Now that I am a member, and have a fitness routine that is super close to my home, I really gained muscle strength to make it further and enjoy hiking/XC skiing that much more.
With all the group X classes, Trying them is so fun and they have really helped me with my fitness routine! The Sauna, Steam room and hot tubs are especially nice after that intense work out and always worth it at the end.The Awesome staff, who is always eager to help when I have a question, The amazing equipment and the plethora of fitness classes. I always can find a new class to try because they are all so different. I couldn't suggest a better place.
Been a member for 25 years. Since retiring I am a 7 day a weaker. Best thing about Apple is the $.50 coffee but I understand that is about to change?
I absolutely love this place! The staff is friendly and inviting, the equipment is in fantastic condition and always top of the line, the trainers are phenomenal, and the classes are always a blast. If it weren't for the support I get from all the friends I've made here I don't know what I'd do
If you are going to join the Apple, Talk to Frank. He is clear and upfront about all the details of your membership which is important when signing a one year contract. My favorite part of the Apple are the classes and trainers. They really push you to become the best you can be physically. It is an investment in your health and happiness. Remember to talk to Frank at least 2 months before your membership expires to make sure you are still happy with everything. My only frustration with the club is they did not renew their contract for the ISU student vouchers and neglected to notify me. With Frank's help I was able to come to an agreement about this change. Thanks Frank for looking out for me!
~1300$/year plus they nickle and done you for more cash. Classes = more cash. Towels = 50¢
It's a great facility. Great equipment. Just realistic not for those who don't have a large discretionary income.
I am really enjoying my Apple membership. I would like to say Frank Dennis has been so helpful to me. He answers all my membership questions and treats me as a valued member of this gym. He also has encouraged me when playing pickleball to get better at the game. Frank is always happy and makes me feel good when he encourages me. He is an excellent staff member at the Apple!
These guys are fully Packed, Pool, Sauna, Tanning, Weights, Treadmill, Climbers, Showers. You Name IT! Very Clean, great Customer Service. This Place is Amazing. And To Top IT Off absolutely Cheap in Prices....!!!
Since joining the Apple, I've dropped almost 100 lbs & my confidence has boosted sky high! The gym has now become my guilty pleasure & one of my favorite hobby's.
The staff & trainers are amazing & their accounting department is wonderful!
Definitely the place to be in town for working out, swimming, fitness classes and starting a healthy lifestyle! Love the atmosphere for sure. Ya its not the cheapest and have looked at other "GYMS" but in terms of health and fitness, cleanliness, array of things to do and open 24hrs to fit my schedule its completely worth it. Highly recommended for sure.
Very dishonest. They make cancelling a contract long and unnecessarily drawn out. If they truly were as good as they said they were, they wouldn't have to worry about people defecting. My recommendation, stay away. There are far better options around Idaho Falls.
There billing/ finance department is absolutely ridiculous and doesn't care about there customers at all. Don't care what you have to say and are very rude when trying to talk to them and deal with them
I've been paying a mini-fortune for swimming lessons here for 6-7 years, but I'm not sure we'll be back after this summer. We've had 2-3 outstanding swimming instructors, but also a lot of bad instructors--including one last year who would suddenly shove my 9-year-old daughter's head under the water if she stopped to take a breath (child abuse anyone?).
The two swim instructors we've had so far this year have also been problematic. One of them squandered valuable lesson time (and my money) several days in a row by going off to chat with other adults/instructors in the pool area about boating, etc while my child waited and waited to start her lesson. After observing 3 days of this kind of thing, I finally expressed my concerns to the Aquatics Director and figured it was resolved.
But the following week, the other instructor (apparently good friends with the chatty instructor) was upset that I'd reported his friend. So he chose to spend much of Monday's lesson time bad-mouthing me to my kids. Like a true coward, he didn't vent his gripes directly to me but instead launched his tirade against my children. After his rant he also told them, "You don't have to tell your mom everything." But they were so upset that of course they told me everything he'd said. Yet even ignoring the bad-mouthing, neither guy taught my kids anything and just made them swim laps over and over. If they asked my kids to try a new stroke once and they didn't immediately get it, they just blew it off and didn't bother to teach it at all.
So while most of the employees I've encountered at Apple have been nice and helpful, I'm sick of dealing with bad swimming instructors. The two this year have displayed particularly immature and unprofessional behavior and done nothing but waste my hard-earned money. Some of the patrons have become increasingly rude as well and make it really depressing and not-fun to go there. Next summer, I'll probably take my business elsewhere, since I don't need to pay hundreds of dollars for little-to-no instruction and to be verbally abused.
This is a really nice facility with good equipment, nice pools, and fun classes. The staff is always courteous. You definitely need to read the fine print when you sign your contract but they will explain it to you and they don't try to hide anything. They're open 24 during the week which is great. I really have trouble getting the equipment and weights I need. The price is a little high compared to other clubs in town, but they are the nicest and usually offer a discount if you ask.
