There are only two pros. The first is that there are a lot of machines, and they are positioned nicely toward the mountains. Gorgeous. The second is that this place is semi-affordable. Unfortunately, that's where is stops. The Meridian locations and the Maple Grove location are REALLY DIRTY. It doesn't seem that they do much decent cleaning in the showers or locker rooms at all. Maple Grove has the THICKEST layer of dust on every surface besides equipment. The staff at the Maple Grove location seem more concerned with their phones than paying attention to actually working. Out of towels for an hour until I had to go ask for one. Also, it's always a game of hide and seek for disinfectant. Instead of standing around, have the staff CLEAN everything. Why would you pay them to stand around texting? If you have time to lean, you have time to clean.

Great gym, good employees. I use the sauna more than anything else. The reason I hate this sauna is because it's located inside the men's locker room. Because of that, old men, and only old men think it is ok to get in the sauna %100 nude. NO ONE APPRECIATES THIS! Not only that but most of the time just to dry off from their showers and dry their towels. It's a small sauna and is they stay for more than 30 seconds then you are forced to sit next to some old dudes balls and the entire experience is ruined. They need to change their policy and mandate no nudity in the sauna.

Crunch Gym is affordable, clean, and friendly. They have plenty of cardio machines available even during peak hours.

Idaho athletic club can save itself. They need to maintain a clean club and update their facilities. Very dirty gym. Staff doesn't maintain cleanliness at this location. Sauna, steam room, and hot tub are all broken at this location. They never seem to update any of the equipment, instead they just replace parts when they break. Paper towels on the ground in locker room. Much better gyms available in the valley for a cheaper price

The club and staff were fine but the contract will cost you thoudands. My final bill was $2,824.44! and that's after paying $74.20 a month for eight months. So I paid Idaho Athletic Club $3,416.70 for eight months of membership.

The story gets worse, the reason why I stopped going eight months into my ridiculously long twenty-four month contract is; they told me my autistic brother was no longer allowed to come. Even though I signed up with him... And he was the reason for the membership.

To make a long story short the staff and managers will tell you anything to sign on the dotted line.

1. My autistic brother was allowed to come with me when I signed up and continued doing so for the first eight months.

2. They wouldn't allow my brother to come anymore but said they would cancel the remainder of my contract. (they didn't and sent me to collections)

3. In the face of everything that had happened, Anthony at corporate said in spite of what I was told, there wasn't a cause for canceling my contract. Taking zero responsibility for his club, it's employees, or the managers.

Beyond engaging in bad business practices Idaho Athletic Club took advantage of my brother and I. From what I have experienced, IAC practices by low ethics and takes our community for it's hard earned money.
