Went into the gym for information and met with a guy named Medley at the front counter. He was super friendly and gave me all the details I wanted and invited me to try a three day trial with my boyfriend.

Girl named Samantha was also there. She didnt seem to respect him and gave some real strong negative vibes. Smiling at the surface but secretly a mean girl personality, you know the type. When I asked who she was, he said she was a new manager. I may still join but I hate managers that dont respect their employees.

I was very disappointed in this "Super Sport". While the equipment is nice it really wasn't much of a step above an active. There is nothing here that I would expect at the claimed level for this Gym. I should have looked closer at the amenities but it shouldn't be called a super sport in my opinion. If you're looking for a nice active gym this would. be it.

I showed up a few weeks back rather late at night (that's one of the entire purposes of a 24 Hour Fitness, right?). I needed to relieve myself prior to my workout. There was a sign outside the men's locker room that it was closed. I went to the desk and was informed it was a female cleaner and it would be closed for about an hour (!) and I'd have to wait. I informed the front desk clerk that, unless they wanted me to wet myself all over the equipment while working out, I would really need to use the restroom first. I was told that I would simply have to wait. I informed him that this was a wasted trip and missed workout for me, because I can't work out without relieving myself first. He said, "Oh, sorry." I asked if there was a suggestion box. He told me that if I wrote down my concerns he'd leave it with the manager. Weeks later and I've still heard nothing.

So glad I am not the only one who HATES this gym. And not just this one, all the 24 Hour Fitness gyms in the area seem to suck. This specific 24 Hour Fitness location is unclean with jackass staff members! I heard there are new staff members now, but I still wouldn't trust them.

The women showers/toilets are very very dirty. Surprise the manager and the janitors still got the job. Flirty

I regularly use a lot of the 24 hour fitness locations in the bay area, and I have been using this gym for over 10 years (since maybe 2007?... back when this was a 'sports' level gym), so I'll compare this gym to other locations. I was using the Golds gym before this (now American Barbell).

If you are looking for a basic gym, this might be fine, but you will be paying a premium price for a low-quality basic gym. There are much cheaper gyms in the area that give you an equal or better experience.

I'll give this 2-stars simply because you can use other 24 Hour Finesses in the area if you pick the right membership, but this will be your gym of last resort.

This used to be a sports-level, but switched to a super-sport level a few years ago.

Most 24 Hour Fitness locations are comparable across levels in this area, except this one. This is by far the worst.

This is worse than every sports level gym in the area.

This is by far the worst super-sport level gym in the area.

I do not recall any improvements ever being made. (At least since 2007).

The men's showers are disgusting and the locker room is not air conditioned. The locker room is sweltering when the showers are used. I can't go in after leg-day, or I feel like passing out. Half the time the soap dispensers are broken or empty.

I don't find this a problem, but be aware that some homeless folks use this gym. Everyone is paying for a membership so this probably shouldn't bother anyone. There are a few RV's that seems to always be in the parking lot, you might find someone in the men's handicap shower doing laundry.

This gym doesn't even compare favorably to other sports-level gyms, like the Mountain View/Showers sports gym or the San Jose/Santa Teresa gym. This gym has no pool, smaller locker room, dirtier showers with broken soap dispensers, much worse equipment, only one group fitness room (I don't use this anyways, so not a problem to me.)

This is the closest gym to me, so I use this gym when I don't feel like traveling.

If this is the only 24 Hour Fitness gym you'll be paying for, this is really not worth it.

The last time my wife used the gym, she said the entire upstairs area smelled strongly like body-odor and urine.

A lot of the equipment is wearing out (rusting, squeaking, uncomfortable, holes in the plastic padding, outdated). For instance the multi-use station is very old, not comparable to the other gyms which have newer Hoist multi-use stations. The mechanisms often catch/lurtch/jerk. Handles are ripped/torn, some of the handles are missing one of their pads.

Last time we visited we notice the mirror was shattered by the light-dumbell set, not sure if this has been repaired.

No towel service, only super-sport level I have visited that didn't have this.

The Costco 2-year membership is the most cost-effective way I found to pay for a membership. Two-year super-sport membership was ~$650, gives you access to every gym.

The water fountains tastes horrible and is usually warm. Only one of the fountains I think is refrigerated, and even then it is still luke warm.

I'm not sure why they upgraded this run-down gym from sport to super-sport, but given that the gym seems to be neglected, I am wondering if this place is losing money for the owner and will soon be shut-down and going-out-of-business. This gym is really a dump compared to every other 24 Hour Fitness.

Parking on some weekends can be impossible, I had to park at the McDonalds a few times, which was great because I got to jog to the gym and I could get my cardio in the fresh air, without having to use the upstairs urinal-smelling cardio machines.

The staff seems to have gotten much worse. My wife and I used to chat every now and then with some of the staff. No staff has spoken with us for probably the past year, most of the time the staff is not manning the front desk, but are chatting in their cubicles. (Honestly I prefer this though, but my wife noticed this.)

One upside, there is a cool movie theater next to this gym that serves craft beer.

old gym and old equipment. totally needs an upgrade with the equipment and place. just naming super sport and charging extra due does not make it super.

I tried the guest pass since I was in town. No good, they say you need to live within 10 miles to use a guest pass.
If I lived within 10 miles I wouldn't need a guest pass. I'd just join. They need to make this obvious when filling out the form to avoid any embarrassment.
The staff was nice about it though.

Cardio machines suck. Classes are good. Not worth the cost unless they upgrade the cardio machines.

When I asked for a towel he acted like I'd lost my mind. I guess I'm used to my home gym which does. The bathroons are clean but need upgrading. Little small but for the most part the employees are friendly and the member's are serious about their workout. Just bring your own towel. ; )

This has been the best 24 hour fitness I've been to. Equipment works and it's relatively clean, that's all you can ask for really in a public gym

Re-branded as Super-Sport without any improved amenities, services. Was forced to pay Super-Sport membership 2 yrs back when most folks were grandfathered at lower membership rate. Not worth paying Super-Sport level for this facility, with much better options available in the area.

It's filled with douche bags. The facility is nice though. Not 24 hours though.

As many can tell only the its been upgraded without the perks. This place is a lot smaller and has less equipment than the close by parkmour gym, which is an active. Sometimes the place is randomly closed with no sign saying its closed with everything on. The rating is a based on what my experience at other SS have been. There are no towels, no extra amenities (pool, basketball, other), showers aren't clean(early morning), overall less things to use( ex. 2 bench press compared no the 6 at parkmour.) As a supersport it fails, but if they went back to being a normal sports it would be average.

October 20, 2017 07:54

This location is not the best but it works. I have a super sport membership but I use to go here before I upgraded. I've been here recently as well since I work and go to school and sometimes it's just convenient in transit from point A to point B. It's always been a little dirty as far as the locker room (Mens) and the equipment doesn't suggest that this is a huge chain gym. I don't mind 24 hour fitness as corp but it could be better at this location. I've been here almost three years and little has changed or been improved.

October 20, 2017 07:54

Rarely get a welcome in but the gym is kept clean (somewhat) and is better than any of the other 24 gyms.

October 20, 2017 07:54

Apparently they "upgraded" this from an Active to a Super Sport gym but they didn't upgrade any amenities. No towel service, no pool, no Whirlpool, no sauna or steam room. It's run down and worse than most Sport locations. Disgusting small locker rooms. The manager said it's only at Super Sport pricing because of the location. Disappointed with 24 Hour Fitness for allowing this disgrace.

Not a bad 24 hour fitness, but no towel service is definitely -1 star!
