I love this gym and have for almost 20 years off and on..i drive down from SF because it is old school..the people who work out here are pretty much no BS..they lift, or they do cardio, or they use the dance studio..The spinning room is always open and you can use that..Yes, the equipment is old, but maintained..Kit, the tech here, does the best job of any tech in the 24 hr. system..The weights are many, and 90% of the time always where they are supposed to be..The Machines are old school as well..4 Squat Racks!!! Two pull/Dip apparatus, and one great assisted Dip/pull up machine..Old Bertha is what we call it, and it is from the 80s..Solid, dependable, and works great for us old guys who can't lift w/o help..lol..The steam room is also the best, and yeah while the jacquzzi is a bit iff at times, i honestly don't get why people get on the locker rooms..IT'S A GYM..they are clean, well maintained, and the janitor staff does a good job every night..I can't say enough good things..i don't give it 5 stars as sometimes it is hard to park, but being from the City, it doesn't bother me..Highly recommended if you want to WORK OUT in an old school environment..

More like 20HR Fitness. This is no longer 24Hr, which for me is a deal breaker. It is also a bit small, but the staff is nice and the cardio machines are usually available.

Great and ample equipment and class options. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are a little run down and not very clean. Shower drains often clogged and 2 out of 5 sinks are usually broken.

Best value gym in peninsula by far. If you are looking to get a cheap and good pump, check this 24 location out. There are actually more benches and squat racks (4!!) than any Sport location I have been to, as this is only an Active. Is fairly empty in the morning but can get busy after work hours. Locker rooms are standard 24 quality -- busted and dirty. But, if you're there to work out, you'll be getting dirty anyways? I pay 27 dollars a month so I really cannot complain. I can get in, do everything I need to do, and get out. Biggest downside is a lack of nearby parking. The lot is very small and you have to park on the side streets.

Good overall. Some of the machines are a bit run down like elliptical missing a heart rate monitor

Pretty large space for a regular 24 hour fitness. Parking is a pain though!

Wanted to use the self-lock in locker rooms, nobody knew how to reset them so I could use them. You should just bring your own lock is what they told me. Maybe you should figure out how to reset them is what I told them, friggin idiots.

Have the Supersport membership, I go here instead. I purchased the 2-year membershp from Costco, wen to the RWC Supersport for the first month. I go here instead. It is a solid, no judgement gym. The RWC SS was a daycare center for teens and 20 somethings at night. Good for them, bad for me. I prefer the shabbier environment with friendly and helpful people. Despite the fact it is an old building with old machines, I feel it is better maintained.

My only complaints (this is for 24hour fitness in general) is despite the signs telling people not to wear their workout shoes into the sauna/steam rooms - they do all the time and the staff turns a blind eye. I bring flip-flops, so all the stuff they walk through during the day is transferred to the seats of a warm, moist environment perfect for breeding bacteria. Can you tell I work in healthcare? It is a rule that should be followed.

Also, parking is tough during the day. Not a problem for me as I usually go at night.

I think that no matter how nice a Supersport club is, for some reason I just love this old school gym, with all the old school machines, where almost nothing major was upgraded, with rusty walls, in desperate need of repainting and repairing....but honest to God I get the best workouts here. And it seems I'm not the only one loving this place. Serious lifters come here, ripped boys and girls, a big concentration of focused ppl that don't BS around with weights, they actually lift. So yeah I pretty much love this spot, despite the bad smell, ugly walls, terrible ventilation and old machines. There's something special here and it'll always call my name for a kick-ass workout, hehe!

Good gym, has all the machines and weights needed, some of them are just old and rarely are machines out of order

This gym is huge for a 24 hour fitness active level. On top of that, they have a jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room. I took off one star for the difficulty of finding parking.

The good:
Friendly staff
Robust schedule of a variety of classes, including a room dedicated to cycling with frequent cycling classes throughout the day.
Nice sized locker rooms
Generous weight lifting area and cardio room. Plenty of machines for whatever you fancy.
Good sized room for classes

The bad:
It's an old facility with ostensibly none of the modern upgrades. The HVAC system cannot keep up with California warmth and lots of sweaty people. In the summer and any warm day the whole gym, but particularly the cardio room, is a sweltering temperature that is hardly bearable once you start working out hard.
The parking is abysmal. A fairly small lot is dedicated to the gym with an ancillary section that's never used in the evenings (except Fridays) but still filled with no parking signs and tow truck threats. Why?!?!
The building shows lots of signs of age and wear, with dirty walls and exposed structural elements. The TVs occasionally have issues or only one will be able to be tuned into.

Why is the music so low? I know. It's because if it's too loud a few folks complain. Pretty ridiculous. It's a gym. Otherwise, good selection.

October 25, 2017 14:25

place is clean and well maintained, way to hot with even a small crowd.

October 25, 2017 14:25

Nice facility, spacious with nany exercise machines to use. You rarely have to wait for the machine. Staff is courteous. One draw back is sometimes you have difficulty finding a parking space.

October 25, 2017 14:25

Lots of equipment. Big cardio room too. Much cleaner than most 25 hr gyms. Spin classes, Jacuzzi, steam and sauna.
