I have been a member here and the classes are awesome! The staff is very friendly, and make you feel like you're part of the family. Positive vibes always! And it's very clean.
I love Fitness 19. It is affordable, and has all that I hope for in a gymn!
Tom is an experienced trainer who develops great workout sessions for me and requests feedback so he can modify the routines if necessary. The gym is clean with a friendly, professional staff. Parking is excellent compared to most gyms. Equipment is clean and well maintained. It's very easy to recommend the gym to anyone. Nice mix of young and older clients who all seem to be having a good time. Grady, the manager, gets a lot of credit for the atmosphere.
One of the clean/best gyms. Grady, the manager is a very humble. I lost 20 pounds cause of him. He will give you the best prices for sessions and the right advise.
Great gym with lots of different equipment. Staff are always friendly and sociable. I signed up during the summer flash sale for $50 and $9.99 per month. It can get a little crowded during peak hours and it might feel a slightly stuffy inside after an intense workout.

Amazingly inexpensive day passes, which I love since I'm only in SF on vacation, visiting family. Pretty well equipped for lifting, though it's been very crowded when I've gone, so I usually have to wait 5-10 minutes for a squat or power rack.

Nice club, at first when I started they had some front desk personnel that didn't smile or speak when checking in. I mentioned this to one of the managers and ever since, they have employed new blood that greets and acknowledges your presents. Good job Fitness 19!

Worst customer service. I keep getting told that there is no upper management to complain to.. But there is!! If I didn't just pay an annual fee 3 months in I would cancel.

Love this simple gym.
There are pros and cons for this gym. I have a membership for three years for around $9 per month, so it isn't a bad price. This also includes another person coming with me for free every time, and there are no other fees that I need to pay. It was also easy for me to signup and I could pay the entire amount up-front, unlike similarly priced gyms.
Along with the pros above, there are cons: this place tends to lack cleaning supplies, so I've had to begin bringing my own with me every time now. The bathrooms are also filthy, but I've just come to accept that it's a common occurrence at most gyms nowadays--especially in California. Half the time, nobody is at the front desk, so people sneak in a lot. I've seen it happen three times already, and was stunned that they weren't seen. It also can sometimes be extremely hot and stuffy downstairs, so it'd be nice if they invested in some large, industrial fans for the rooms. One last thing that may not matter to others as much as it does to me: this place closes way too early and opens way too late on weekends. I like to get my workouts done throughout the week and the weekends, and I'm usually working late on studies into the night. I wish they opened at 5 A.M. on weekends like they do during the weekdays.

I really enjoy this gym and most of its staff. It's my teams go to gym. However, I had some billing issues and questions that took over 3 months to fix. Some associates passed me along to others because of little knowledge. Finally when I spoke with the manager I took his attitude personal. I felt like I was being spoken to in a condescending manner along with not really caring about the situation. He made me feel like the issue was my fault. Fortunately I'll continue to attend this gym but I'll be sure to steer clear of the manager.
