I come from a background of Hot Yoga, nothing extremely intense when it comes to cardio or weights. I went in to the orange theory with a goal of 20lbs and maintaining. At first I thought this workout is going to be so intense I'm not going to be able to finish, but I was so wrong. You go in there with a team of people who's fitness levels all range. Not everyone there is at superb fitness level, which is great because you don't feel left out, and you also have a coach/trainer who is there to help guide you through the whole workout if needed.
What helped me guide my head away from it being a workout was watching the screen showing my heart monitor. The goal is to keep it in green and reach orange or red. The more I focused on this and figured if I push a little harder I'll stay in orange the more it felt like a game. The 45 minutes flew past and I felt great.
As a bonus, the trainers offer to be available to you to help reach your goal outside of the Orange Theory free of charge. The monitor given to you at the orange theory can also be used for workouts outside of the Orange Theory so you can completely keep track of all your activities outside of the OT and continue building and seeing your burning zone. Over all, I greatly recommend it.
