Nice place, not far from UAB, easy to find, close to Wal-Mart, etc. Once they found out we were there for the hospital, they gave us a discount, and the 2nd stay they put us in an actual handicapped room. The first one wasn't well equipped for the handicapped

One of the best weekends I've ever had. Before my wife moved to Atlanta, we were the meet I the middle some weekends couple. This time it was here. The apartment like accommodations helped us have an awesome romantic weekend getaway without getting off budget for what we've since dubbed "The Big Move". Full kitchen, separate living room/bedroom. Big comfortable bed and clean well appointed bathrooms. Class act!

Its in a convenient area. The only thing I didn't like was that the buildings weren't connected to the main lobby/amenities. When it rained or was extremely cold it was a hassle, but I'd stay here again.

Clean rooms. Quiet place to stay. I don't think I have ever heard someone else while in my room. I stay there almost monthly when I travel to Birmingham. The breakfast is good too.

Great place to stay. Big rooms. Nice community room with drinks and good food. The reason for 4 stars is the thermostat wouldn't go lower than 68. Burnt up.

I've stayed at this location before and was pleased during that stay as well. The rooms are very clean and spacious. Since I travel a lot with the military, it's important for me to be able to prepare my own meals. All of the rooms have a small kitchen area, common space and closed off bedroom with door. They also have prepare food items for breakfast and evening tapas with spirits. And if you're a rewards member the points for your stay doesn't hurt.

Loved our stay. Felt like a little house with everything needed!
Our room was very clean as was the rest of the property, very well maintained and neat. Had no odors or smells.
Customer service was very professional, friendly and fast. We called down for service to our room and they showed up in about one minute!
Everything was exactly what the pictures show. Breakfast was very very good, lots of choices, fresh and delicious!
Loved their oudoor tables, pool and court area.
The whole property is locked down with security locks and is a great place to be with a family.
Would love to stay here again!

It was overall clean and friendly. Felt right at home here. Just didn't like the layout of the hotel as a whole.

Hotel is located right off interstate 65 in Birmingham. It's close to stores, they offer free breakfast, Rooms have separated bedrooms from living room. They have very good service at this location as for as dealinng with front desk.

Staying at this hotel for 2 nights. Comfortable bed, comforter, and pillows. I always enjoy staying in a Marriott Residence Inn, your room has it all. Rooms have TVs, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, stove, etc. Great place and kept up very well!

It's okay, front desk ladies were friendly during check-in but overall definitely below expectations for a Marriott chain. Puddle of water in our kitchen area when we walked in. Older cabinets and the rooms generally have seen a lot of and tear. But the main thing is that they didn't give us enough pillows for both beds (weird), and then claimed they didn't have any extra pillows, and didn't seem to think that was odd or cause for concern. Ended up having to run out to Walmart at 1am to buy my own pillows for my daughter to sleep on, not something I ever expected from a Marriott chain.

Pretty great amenities for the price. Friendly staff. Location is a bit sub-optimal to get to anything without a car. Kitchens were accommodated, but not really anything special. All in all clean and pretty good!

A very nice motel. Is rooming comfortable and I love the small things that they do like providing tea tree conditioner and lemon Sage body wash and tea tree shampoo in the showers. I would highly recommend this motel and would come back again and again.

Horrible mattress...big dips & holes. Didn't sleep well and had a long graduation day & trip back to Mobile the next day. Worst breakfast I have ever experienced...moldy croissants, stale bagels. Sliced wieners ! No bacon or biscuits. Eggs very dry and tasteless as was the sausage. Very surprised & disappointed. Have never had trouble with Marriott in the past. Hope it will be investigated!

It was a very enjoyable experience as far as a hotel and or a motel experience goes. For the last 25 years, I have been in the Trade Show Industry. 2 or 3 times a year I'm invited to work in a different city outside of FL as a subcontractor. There are times when a 2 man suite just so happens to be the Marriott Residence Inn. I have not encountered, publicly, a disgruntled employee or staff member one of these places that I have stayed. I have nothing bad or negative to say about any Residence Inn that I have stayed in over the last 5 years. I believe, just like people, businesses, organizations, all governments, places to stay at and even people, individual persons need cleaning to start on the inside. This is when others will want to see & enjoy the good things that we have to offer, not the facade.

I would usually give a 5 but I got in late and was extremely exhausted and kids were running up and down the hall until about 4am. And to top it off the person above me was walking so hard I thought they were going to fall through the ceiling. They didn't stop walking until about 3am and were back at it about 7. I had to be at work at 8 and needless to say "I was late" and still tired.

Appears this hotel was constructed some time ago. While suites follow the basic Residance floor plan, kitchen area needs updating. Hotel has major interstate on 2 sides. While not terribly noisy, I used ear plugs. I was surprised that my king suite had what might be a queen bed, but looks like a full size. Glad I'm traveling single. I like that they offer points for foregoing daily housekeeping. Evening social food and beer is very good. Monday night, chicken chili with the fixings and Tuesday night, a tender grilled chicken breast on a bun with an excellent spinich salad. Selection of beer is nice. Short distance to downtown and free parking.

Real nice rooms, friendly staff. The free internet option is a respectable 10 up 10 down, but if that isn't enough there is a paid option. You'll need to have devices with WiFi connectivity, no Ethernet connections are available. Free beer and a bit of food Monday through Wednesday in the evening.

Staff is friendly. Hotel could use some updating in rooms. Bed not the comfortable. It was clean and studio perfect for 1 person.

I chose this hotel due to my extended stay of nearly 2 months. I wanted to be able to prepare my meals and can't afford to eat out every day. To my dismay, all was well except there was not stove/oven. One of their other properties on the same compound did have a stove/oven but the room I had was a studio. I came to Residence Inn having stayed at one of their other locations across town about 2 years ago. I don't fully remember if there was a stove/oven in my room but at that time I didn't need one since my stay was over a weekend. Other than that, this hotel is great and I would come again.

Check in girl was kurt. Did not acknowledge us as Marriott members. Was told I had to go look for a luggage cart. Was given a room on the main road across from an all night gas station. Very noisy. Breakfast was fairly good. Morning desk was much better. Sent a cart to our room.

I've stayed here numerous times since I was a child, and can't say that it will change. I'm a Hilton girl, but this is one of the only hotels outside of Hilton that I will gladly book without thinking twice. I love their hospitality, and the fact that there's two bedroom suites. Would definitely stay again.

The place was comfortable and fairly clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was satisfying and convenient since it was off of the main lobby building. I did remove a star because I had what appeared to be a bullet hole in my window.
