Overall friendly staff, great music, and clean!
Class instructors are welcoming, motivating, fun, energetic and supportive/encouraging. There are a variety of classes for different fitness goals. This gym is always clean when I have gone, even at the end of the day. I mostly do classes but yes, I have noticed that it does get crowded from 4PM to 7PM in the main workout area, however, I'm sure most gyms are busy/crowded around this time as well.

There are some awesome things about this gym. Ashley at the front desk is amazing and always very helpful. My trainer Lucas Nelson has literally helped me change my life through fitness. And trainers Marco and Megan are always very friendly! There is also a wide variety of equipment, the afternoon rush isn't as bad any more and all of the classes offered are great!
I have been a member at this gym for almost 6 years and spend thousands of dollars a year there between dues, tanning, training packages and box class and up until a few months ago have been very happy and would recommend this gym to anyone. However in the last few months, it seems things have started to slip. Free Wifi is now limited to an hour and can only be connected to by walking up to the front desk and continuously retrying until it actually connects. It also cuts out frequently during workouts and if I am there longer than an hour I finish my workout in silence. Many of the treadmills don't work, or will stop in the middle of a run (happened to me twice this week and it's a miracle I wasn't injured either time), also many of the TV's don't work or only get a few channels. The bulbs in the tanning beds haven't been replaced in months (possibly almost a year?). I haven't seen much new equipment lately either aside from the new med ball I used this week. I am unsure who the manager is since Tim left but I know he has to split his time between Waukesha and Milwaukee locations; would be really nice to have a full time manager back who knows the names of the guests and is onsite to address issues.
It makes me sad that the gym is having all of these issues, especially when I drive 20 minutes to get there, passing many other gyms I could go to on my way. I really hope to see improvements and be assured that my maintenance dollars are being put to good use. It would be hard for me to leave Gold's but I would really like a place where I can come to and get a good workout in without having to deal with these issues.

While I had absolutely no problems with the gym and classes - in fact, they were great, I had constant issues regarding payments. My card was on file, but after moving 45 minutes away, I was not going to the gym anymore. I came in one day for a quick class since I was in the area, and was only then I was informed that even though they had my information, they hadn't been charging me the monthly payments. (At least in the past I received calls and emails about charges not going through). So when I went to pay everything off, I was informed it was one total. They double charged me. I call to get one refunded, and when the refund comes through, the amount is less than the single charge. I asked why, and apparently the total I needed to pay was not what I was previously informed and charged.
Needless to say, I'm irate with how they handled things. This was only the latest payment issue I've had with them. Happy I'm no longer a member.

Great gym with pool and special training room as well as a theater work out room and a private woman's room. Love it!!
The billing company for this facility uses is a scam!!! If you cancel your membership you will be charged unfairly and find out months later you're in collections after you get a confirmation email stating you have cancelled successfully.
Do not join. They claim no contract however after you try several times trying to cancel they continue to charge you with loop holes they created. Its pathetic truly pathetic. Perhaps a complaint to the D.A of Waukesha can help investigate this rip off place. "it's in your contract" is all they can say. you will be billed up to several hundred dollars. they staff lack diversity in life offer no creative helpful solutions/

I'm very much enjoying my time at Gold's. There are enough treadmills and machines that I never have to wait. People are courteous and staff are helpful and friendly.
Love this gym, easy to use the machines and lots of different areas, including a women's only section. Just wish they would display a lineup for their movies so I can plan out what days I can plan my cardio.
I had a good time working out here, but sadly there were issues with them opening up on time consistently. With staff members that look like they have never been in a gym before. When you want to cancel your membership like I did when I was moving they told me I had to send an email to them and wait 30 days and they would charge my card if one of payments dates passed. When I did I had a typo in my email and they kept charging me so I had to block them through my bank. Why the hell can' t you cancel in person?
This is a very clean gym and the people are nice. There are plenty of spots in the parking lots. It does tend to get busy around 5 PM (after people are getting off of work), but any other time I've been there, it isn't super crowded. There is a very nice layout, a lot of things are spread out.
I enjoy going to this gym. Staff are friendly but spend a lot of time talking amongst themselves. I have been going for almost a year and am disappointed with the quality of the machines. They seem old and breaking down. Fans are turned off for some members but not turned on again. There are seniors during the day and only two recumbent bikes. Why aren't there more?

Most gyms leave broken stuff and don't fix it. The management is awesome. Really appreciate this gym. One time I did it realize. Y membership was expired. The guy caught it and was super nice. Another time I missed a payment and the front desk girl caught it and helped get it fixed right away. That was very nice. I miss Tim. But gotta give Mark credit for running both gyms. Can imagine not easy.
It was a lot less crowded than I expected with plenty of equipment. Everything was clean too. Make sure to bring your own lock for the lockers.
Good gym, great staff and nice equipment. It does get a little crowded after work but barely anyone there in the mornings.
Nice gym. The atmosphere was great. The club was clean and the staff was super friendly. Had every piece of equipment I could ever ask for and the class were great. The Manager Tim always welcomed me by name, nice touch. Cancel process when I relocated was a simple email sent and received an response confirmation within minutes. If you follow the agreement terms that all gyms have you will have no issues with cancel. Highly recommended.
This place is my social hour. Small group training classes and great friends.
