I was with Heather for 3 years. she was a great coach taught me most of the stuff I know and got me out of my comfort zone. when she was still a coach for Active Stars after nationals she decided to quit and make her own team, sending personal invites to everyone on her team at Active Stars excluding 3 people including me. This absolutely broke my heart and took away all my desire to cheer from then on and I quit as of a year ago. recently about 8 people have up and quit cheering with Legacy because of the disrespect and favoritism that was going on in that gym. when one quit, all her and her mother got back were negative comments about how they didn't appreciate what Legacy had been doing for them and just rude, uncalled for and sarcastic comments. Great team, horrible management and horrible attitudes.

I was with Heather for almost a year on Legacy. I loved cheering with them until I started getting rude comments from the staff after i didn't attend a practice. It was a Friday night, and there was a bug floating around the gym, so there was about 3/4 of the team absent. Only about 5-10 girls came to practice that night, but I was not one of them. I wasn't going to attend practice that night, because I did not want to catch any sickness that may have been lingering that night. My family has a close family friend, whose daughter is a member of the South Elite Diamonds Elite cheer squad. She had asked me if I had anything planned for that night, and so I told her my situation. She told me that her mother had talked to her about me, saying how i had a talent and extremely good form, and that she should take me to an open gym at south elite that night. I said yes, and packed my stuff to go. I had a good time at the gym, and I was extremely excited to tell my friends about the experience. And after that night, I had told Heather that I had gone, and she didnt seem to have anything wrong with it. I was telling my friends that I had went and they had a really nice gym and i also told them about what the gym had. Apparently, people had overheard and were telling the coaches that I was talking about leaving because "South Elite was so much better than Legacy". And then Heather's husband had started making snotty comments like "Why dont you just leave", "How about you just go to SE since they are just so much better than us". I was on the verge of crying because of the disrespect. Previously that night I had also raised my voice at a coach, saying that I felt forced to do a skill and I didnt want to do it because of fear. I just found it so inappropriate for a grown man to be shaming a child that way. They own a buisiness and that is definitely not the way to treat your customer. I felt scared to go back to gymnastics and cheer that week, so I ended up quitting, and I am currently searching for a new squad. It is a great team, but with such disrespectful staff.
