Studio 45 offers the most efficient, safe and effective workout I've encountered. I've been a regular here for well over a year and have no plans to stop. The instructors are all fantastic in their own way, and the culture/environment is very, very welcoming with no pressure (except friendly motivation to do the best for your own health).
Studio 45 offers Lagree (a variation of Pilates) that is intense, but crucially low-impact. I had, in the past, not had the best experienced with respect to injuries (especially knee joints) during exercise (with crossfit, weight-training, and even some more intense yoga). It's been a lifesaver to have a workout that is one of the most strenuous I've done, but be so gentle on the joints. It's been effective enough and safe enough that I can justify the expense of the studio by requiring less physical therapy and (likely) fewer future injuries as a key concept of the exercise is stabilizing and supporting joints, the spine, etc.
If you plan to try it, I would recommend two things:
* Try it at least three times (it takes a few to get comfortable with the transitions and movements). They should have an intro pack.
* Bring grip socks!
