I still love going to these classes; they are challenging yet fun and the atmosphere is calm, safe and inviting. A good workout for body and soul :)
I've been a member, taken breaks doing other things, like yoga and running, tried other places to work out in the city, tried to find a replica of what The Bar Method offers, but there is nothing else like it. It's the only thing that I can stick to and that has gotten me into a beautiful, strong and healthy physical condition like no other. When I'm dedicated to this practice, it gives me the strength and balance to do any other sport I want. It's not just the workout though, it's the trainers and the process they go through to become top-notch Bar Method trainers. I find that other classes around the city can be so all over the place with the quality of attention you'll receive. I notice everywhere else now when trainers have no clue how to keep you in good form, not only to get the best workout you can, but so that you are using the right muscles and avoiding injury. I respect the Bar Method because I know they respect every body that enters their establishment. I love this place, and I miss it when I don't put myself first and go as often as I should.
I absolutely love The Bar Method, particularly this location! Every single person who works there is so friendly, encouraging, and motivating. This is the only workout I have been able to completely commit myself to. Every day is different so I am never bored and the classes fly by.
The studio is extremely clean and well maintained. It smells lovely and there are tons of amenities such as showers, locker rooms (with free locks), blow dryers, deodorant, mouthwash, towels, etc.
I recommend this studio to everyone and anyone regardless of fitness level and experience.
The instructors are absolutely amazing and beautiful who will kick your butt!
Challenging barre based workout for all levels and ages. One of my favorites!
I originally started Bar Method in March of 2012 and fell in love with the exercise, teachers, and community. The changes I saw in my body made me hooked. I was able to continue doing Bar Method 5 days per week up until the day before I gave birth to my second child in June 2013. After giving birth, my body recovered much quicker than with my first pregnancy (without Bar Method). Unfortunately, after having baby #2, I didn't make myself a priority and found juggling family, work and exercise difficult, so I fell out of going to Bar Method regularly. I tried going to the gym and exercise classes at the Y where they had childcare, but nothing matched the intensity and commitment that I had with Bar Method. I made my way back to 4-5 days per week in September 2017 and am never looking back. Again, my body changed and I feel strong, confident, and invigorated after I leave the studio and throughout the day. I highly recommend Bar Method for those like me who are looking for an intense and low impact exercise that you quickly get hooked on and actually WANT to go to class!

I decided to give barre classes a try in hopes of finding a stress relieving and fun workout, and getting more into a healthy diet and exercise routine over the summer. I am so glad I chose The Bar Method at Lake Union. I purchased a month of unlimited classes through Groupon (for an amazing price!), and ended up attending 28 classes throughout the 30 days. I usually have a hard time sticking to demanding workout routines, but The Bar Method was so effective and fun that I was immediately addicted after the first few classes. Within one week, I saw and felt drastic results. 30 days later, I have lost more than 10 lbs and noticed an improvement in my posture, there is more tone and definition in my muscles throughout my entire body, and I feel great.
Over the course of the month, I took classes with almost all of the instructors at The Bar Method Lake Union. Every single instructor that I worked with made a point to remember my name and was incredibly friendly and inviting. Several of the instructors would continually check in with me before or after classes to see how my experience was going and to answer all of my questions. Many of the instructors also take the barre classes themselves, and are kind enough to intentionally position themselves near newer students and help them throughout the class, even if they aren't teaching the class themselves. During class, (especially during your first few days) the instructors call you by name in order to either help correct or compliment your form, or motivate you to push yourself harder. I appreciated this attention to each and every student. While it was a little bit uncomfortable during my first few classes, this method of instruction motivated me to learn faster, push myself harder and achieve results faster- and it was incredibly effective. I can also see how this method allows the instructors to devote attention to every student in a large class, whereas taking the time to walk over and manually correct students can be far less efficient.
Overall this was a wonderful experience. I am so glad that I found The Bar Method, and would highly recommend these classes to anyone who might be interested in trying barre.

I have been taking classes at the Bar Method Seattle for 3.5 years, and it remains a challenging, fun, energizing, and mindful exercise! Today feels just as a hard and rewarding as Day 1. The studio is clean, welcoming, and vibrant. All of the clients and teachers are so friendly, and more so than other studios in the area, the teachers are committed to ensuring you receive the best workout possible. There is a strong emphasis on form and verbal and physical correction, which aim to keep you safe and to be your strongest self. Taking class is usually the best part of my day :)
I have been coming for 7 years and this is hands-down the best workout I've ever done. I have a lot of joint problems and the instructors really focus on making sure you have good form so you don't injure yourself. At first I admit I was skeptical that this was be a hard enough workout but a few classes were enough to disabuse me of that notion. You definitely work a lot of small muscles you didn't know existed along with larger muscle groups to create a lean, toned body.
LOVE the Bar Method. Everyone at this location is incredibly welcoming from your first visit and throughout your attendance. They are personable, encouraging and you can tell each instructor cares deeply about achieving your goals. I started off ClassPass and after the first class, I was hooked. Recommend The Bar Method to anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding workout!

I have never ever enjoyed workout so much until I met The Bar Method. I love going to classes every day on the weekdays and relax a little bit on the weekends (haha, maybe I should have come on weekends too, oh well.) All the instructors are so awesome. Looking at such a group of beautiful and determined people, I feel more motivated too. I love Bar Method and I will continue doing it!
I love this place . The enthusiasm of the trainers , the energy , the personal attention is something I have never experienced before . The work out has helped me both physically and mentally . A must try if you like being fit and are up for some challenge .

Instructors are knowledgeable and hands-on - they're not there to get a workout with you, but rather to help YOU get the best workout possible. I love the sense of community fostered by the staff and how nice and inspiring my barre mates are.
What a wonderful environment to workout in! The teachers are what sets this bar studio apart from other bar studios. They are trained professionals who are there to help make you a better person physically and mentally. You have 4 different options for classes and lots of times available to take those classes. The studio is kept spotless and there is a great women's locker room I take advantage of when I'm getting ready for work in the morning. I've been working out here for almost 5 years and I love it. Each week I'm able to find a new way to challenge myself more and more. It's also become a great stress reliever for those rough days. Can't recommend The Bar Method enough to anyone looking for an empowering workout.

Luke & Bev have done a fantastic job with their facilities in both Seattle and Redmond. As a physical therapists that routinely discharges patients TBM provides a safe and successful place for my patients to return to quality movement and activity. The instructors are highly specific and undergo a very signifiant amount of training and continuing education which is one of the things that sets them apart from other studios. From the instructor Lindsay in Redmond to Steph in the front office of Seattle, it is a great team. Keep up the great work and thanks for raising the instructional "bar"

Awesome whole body workout that will challenge any fitness level. The staff is wonderful and the space is relaxing. I would highly recommend The Bar Method to anyone.
